[6/4/21] Hotfixes

  • NPC information database was broken (some information missing) and has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where Corporeal beast attack nerf (using special attacks to get corp's attacks to hit zero) would not reset upon death.
    • Corporeal beast can now be accessed again.
  • Added a fail-safe to the Maze random event to make sure that players don't get stuck there.

 
Hello everyone,
 
This year's Easter event is finally here! Hop right in by speaking to Gregg in Edgeville, he'll teleport you to Draynor where you can begin the event. This update took a bit longer to put together than most, but we've made sure to pack in a ton of content for you guys. Shooting stars have been completely reworked, allowing you to predict when they'll fall (via telescopes in your PoH), as well as the ability to mine stardust which can be traded for all-new rewards. We've also improved the Chambers of Xeric experience by allowing you to select the size of the dungeon before you enter, with Eternal donators being able to select a specific layout as well. You might also encounter the Maze random event, where you'll earn some free items (including the rare chance at a pair of Ranger boots) simply for completing the maze. Aside from this, many small QoL updates and content has also been added, such as Leather Shield crafting, Ancient Spellbook teleports, new Lunar spells and much more. Have a look for yourself below:

  • 2021 Easter Event:
    • This year's Easter event is now live!
      • Head over to Draynor and speak with Gregg to find out how you can participate in this year's event.
      • Gregg has hatched a plan to take the load off of the bunnies' shoulders this year, and he can't do it alone.
      • Those who help Gregg out can be awarded with the highly practical Propeller hit, as well as the festive Eastdoor, which is an event weapon that is held similarly to Dinh's Bulwark.
      • You can teleport to Draynor directly, or speak to the bunny at home to be teleported.
    • Player-owned House Telescope Changes:
      • Players will now be able to use the telescopes in their Study’s to give them an estimate on when the next shooting star will approach.
        • Mahogany Telescope:
          • This will give players an exact estimate of when the next star will appear.
        • Teak Telescope:
          • This will give players an estimate of the approximate number of hours until the next star will appear:
            • This is not minute-accurate, so if the next star appears in 2 hours and 35 minutes, it’ll just say approximately 2 hours.
              • If there’s less an an hour left, the telescope will tell you that, but not how many minutes are left.
        • Oak telescope:
          • This telescope will just provide hints based on how close the shooting star looks.
            • For example, it will tell you that you see a distant star approaching if the shooting star will land in longer than an hour.
        • All of the telescopes will send a unique message if the player looks into the telescope when the star will fall within the next minute.
    • Interface Changes:
      • The drop searcher interface option to view the npc drop table will now show the context option as “View npc table”, rather than “Value” when hovering over the item name.
      • Npc Lookup:
        • The Npc Lookup interface option to view the npc drop table will now show the context option as “View Drops”, rather than “Value” when hovering over the item name.
        • The Npc Lookup interface has been expanded to show the NPC’s defensive bonuses, as well as the magic accuracy, magic level, and defence level.
    • Maze Random Event:
      • All players will now be eligible to receive the Maze random event.
        • This event can only be received when players are in non-instanced area’s outside of the wilderness or any type of Duel/LMS/Castle wars session.
        • When received, a strange old man will appear near you asking for your help, and you must speak to him to to enter the maze event.
          • If you teleport away or logout, the strange old man will simply leave, and you will not be able to participate in the event.
          • Once inside, players will have approximately 2 minutes to complete the maze, while their reward potential drains.
            • Once a player has made it to the centre of the maze, they will receive rewards in a quantity that is based on both their total level, and reward potential.
              • Possible rewards:
                • Blood runes
                • Chaos Runes
                • Nature runes
                • Death runes
                • Coins
                • Crystal key
                • Mithril arrows
                • Rune Arrows
                • Coal
                • Adamant ore
              • Players will also have a very rare chance of obtaining ranger boots from completing this event, similar to the crystal chest mechanics.
      • The frequency at which this event occurs is random, but will only appear for players while they are active in-game (that is, it won’t appear to afk players).
    • Shooting Star Changes:
      • The object models for the shooting stars have been updated and changed.
        • The shooting stars will now also have a blue health bar indicating how much health the star has left before it will disappear.
          • Once the bar is emptied, the star will be depleted, and will disappear.
      • The shooting star now provides stardust from mining it.
        • Players will receive 10 stardust each time they mine the star, plus an additional amount based on the player’s donator rank.
          • Super/Regular Donators will receive 1 extra stardust.
          • Legendary/Extreme donators will receive 2 extra stardust.
          • Uber donators will receive 3 extra stardust.
          • Master donators will receive 4 extra stardust.
          • Immortal donators will receive 5 extra stardust.
          • Eternal donators will receive 6 extra stardust.
      • Dusuri’s Stardust Shop:
        • Players can purchase various items from this shop using the stardust obtained:
          • Celestial Ring:
            • This ring provides an invisible +4 mining boost to the player, regardless of the charges.
            • Players can also charge this ring with Stardust (maximum 10,000 charges), and will have a 10% chance to obtain an extra ore when mining.
              • This provides the mining experience as well, however it does not work with pay-dirt.
          • Star Fragment:
            • Players can use these fragments on their Prospector set pieces to create the golden variant of this set.
              • Players can store the full Golden prospector set in their Armour case.
          • Bag full of gems:
            • A bag full of gems, which works similar to the one that can be purchased from the Motherlode mine store.
          • Soft clay packs
    • Ancient Spellbook Teleports:
      • All of the teleports in the ancient spellbook now work properly.
        • The dangerous teleports will prompt the player to confirm they want to teleport to the dangerous location.
        • The spells requires runes unlike the normal spellbook, and therefore provide experience for casting the spell.
    • Wesley Changes:
      • The following noted items can now be crushed by Wesley:
        • Bird nests
        • Superior dragon bones
        • Desert goat horns
        • Chocolate bars
        • Blue dragon scales
        • Unicorn horns
    • Wood Shield Fletching:
      • Players can now fletch all wood shield variants when fletching logs:
        • Oak shield:
          • Requires 1 oak log and 27 Fletching to craft, providing 50 Fletching experience.
        • Willow shield:
          • Requires 1 willow log and 42 Fletching to craft, providing 83 Fletching experience.
        • Maple shield:
          • Requires 1 maple log and 57 Fletching to craft, providing 116.5 Fletching experience.
        • Yew shield:
          • Requires 1 yew log and 72 Fletching to craft, providing 150 Fletching experience.
        • Magic shield:
          • Requires 1 magic log and 87 Fletching to craft, providing 183 Fletching experience.
        • Redwood shield:
          • This shield was previously craftable.
          • Requires 1 redwood log and 92 Fletching to craft, providing 216 Fletching experience.
    • Leather Shield Crafting:
      • Players can now craft all leather shield variants by using the appropriate nails, leather, or a hammer on the wooden shield.
        • Hard leather shield:
          • Requires 41 crafting, 1 Oak shield, 2 hard leather, and 15 bronze nails to craft, providing 70 Crafting experience.
        • Snakeskin leather shield:
          • Requires 56 crafting, 1 Willow shield, 2 snakeskin leather, and 15 iron nails to craft, providing 100 Crafting experience.
        • Green d’hide shield:
          • Requires 62 Crafting, 1 Maple shield, 2 green dragon leather, and 15 steel nails to craft, providing 124 Crafting experience.
        • Blue d’hide shield:
          • Requires 69 Crafting, 1 Yew shield, 2 blue dragon leather, and 15 mithril nails to craft, providing 140 Crafting experience.
        • Red d’hide shield:
          • Requires 76 Crafting, 1 Magic shield, 2 red dragon leather, and 15 adamant nails to craft, providing 156 Crafting experience.
        • Black d’hide shield:
          • Requires 83 Crafting, 1 Redwood shield, 2 black dragon leather, and 15 rune nails to craft, providing 172 Crafting experience.
    • Boss Display Additions:
      • Players can now create the following boss displays in their POH’s:
        • Corporeal Beast display:
          • This can be done by using the Jar of Spirits on the empty boss display.
            • The Jar of Spirits can be obtained as a 1/1000 (base rate) drop from Corporeal beast.
        • Thermonuclear Smoke Devil display:
          • This can be done by using the Jar of Smoke on the empty boss display.
            • The Jar of Smoke can be obtained as a 1/2000 (base rate) drop from the Thermonuclear Smoke Devil.
    • Runelite changes:
      • Added an option to the Menu Entry Swapper to swap the "Previous" option with the "Talk-to" option for the Teleport Wizard. 
      • The import and export menu options are now toggleable in the Ground markers plugin.
        • Additionally, a "Clear" option has been added which, when used, will clear any visible markers near your location
      • Skills Progress Plugin:
        • The Skills Progress Plugin has been added to the Runelite client.
          • This plugin allows players to have progress bars drawn over each stat when their skill interface is open.
            • Players have various configurations to choose from, for example they can only show the progress when hovering over a skill, always show it on all skills, etc…
      • Slayer plugin changes:
        • The slayer task/streak information is now profile specific, and should be tracked between accounts.
      • The chat notifications plugin now supports Regular expression pattern highlighting.
      • Xp Globes Plugin:
        • Players now have the option to flip the Xp globes vertically by holding shift and right-clicking an Xp globe.
        • The Xp globe skill icon will now scale in size with the globe itself.
      • The timers plugin will now identify an imbued heart magic boost even if the graphic does not play.
      • The mining plugin will now show a hint arrow on the minimap indicating where the active Daeyalt Essence has moved.
      • A new plugin-hub Banked experience plugin has been added.
    • Antidote+:
      • Players can now create Antidote+ Potions by using a clean Toadflax on a vial of coconut milk.
        • This requires at least level 68 Herblore, and provides 155 Herblore experience.
      • Players who drink this potion will be cured of poison, and immune to its effects for the next 9 minutes.
    • Quality of Life:
      • Added the Rimmington Bush Patch and Champion's Guild bush patch to the Farmer's Blessing teleports.
      • The Golden Retriever pet will no longer show up as a German shepherd on 2010 mode.
      • Dragon scimitar drops will no longer announce over yell.
      • Players can now create dark flippers by using a Dark claw on a pair of Flippers.
        • These items can also be stored in a player’s Magic Wardrobe in their POH.
      • The clue scroll sprites have been updated to reflect their difficulty.
        • Rather than all having a green seal, they will have seals of various colors denoting their difficulty.
      • Made each burnt page add 50 charges to a player's Tome of Fire, rather than 20 charges.
      • Purchasing Tzhaar weapons from the tzhaar shop will now add the items to a player's collection log.
      • Players can now click space to select the previous option on the skilling interface if applicable.
      • The equipment interface will now show the Rogue set effect.
      • The Rogue's set will now provide double seeds from farmers more often.
        • The chance of double seeds is 20% per piece, totalling 100% if the player has the full set equipped.
      • Players can now store the infernal pickaxe and crystal pickaxe in the Soul Altar stash unit.
      • The Equipment interface set effects will now show the 30% increase in run energy restoration when a player is wearing full graceful.
      • The Kingdom of Miscellania interface will now show the items themselves in a scroll, rather than only the text of which items were received.
        • These items will still be added to a players bank (or inventory for UIM) the the interface opens.
      • Players can now sell pieces of the Prospector set back to Prospector Percy for 80% of their purchase value.
      • Items that previously did not have a value (sell price of 1 or 0) will now default to their low-alch price when being sold to shops.
      • The Carpenter's Outfit can now be stored in a player's Armour Case in their POH.
      • Instance tokens can now be automatically be withdrawn from a player's bank if they don't have one in their inventory, similar to the instance gp fee.
      • A player's Agility course lap count will now be shown after each lap.
      • Added an option to the Runelite Menu Entry Swapper Plugin to swap the "talk-to" option with "Crush" for Wesley.
      • Booster scrolls on 2010 mode will now look exactly as they do on 2007 mode.
        • Previously, they all looked quite similar and it was difficult to differentiate them.
    • Bug fixes:
      • Fixed an issue where the Loot tracker was not properly loading a player's loot when the client launched.
      • Fixed a bug where the "most recent" option for the experience counter was not working properly.
      • Fixed a bug where the Collection log would sometimes show the wrong items or counts when you changed tabs initially.
      • The Bandos Godsword will now properly drain Corporeal’s beast stats in the following order:
        • Based on the damage done to Corporeal Beast using the BGS spec, the stats will be drained in the following order: Defence, Strength, Attack, Prayer, Magic, Ranged
          • This means players can now use the BGS (after reducing att/str/def stats with the arc light) to reduce the mage level of Corporeal beast, properly reducing it’s accuracy.
      • Fixed a bug where players would sometimes get a regular slayer task assigned from Krystillia.
      • Fixed a bug where the Corporeal Beast splash attack graphic was wrong.
      • The total xp counter will no longer show the wrong total xp value if a player gained experience in a skill that had 200m experience.
      • The PJ timer in the Revenant cave (singles-plus) has been increased to 16 ticks.
      • The Lunar spellbook swap spell will now return a player to the Lunar spellbook after they cast a spell or wait 2 minutes.
      • Fixed a bug that allowed players to smuggle boxing gloves out of a POH.
      • Fixed a bug where the XP tracker would show "+-" as the value when a player would set the tracker to show xp tracked for an XP value that was higher than their current exp in that skill.
      • Fixed a bug where players would in some cases be able to move when using Spoof items (ring of coins, for example) that were supposed to restrict movement.
      • Fixed a bug with zombie animations in the wilderness graveyard that would stall their movement indefinitely.
      • Fixed a bug where players would not be able to select an amount on the skilling interface after they had opened their bank.
      • Fixed an issue with the agility shortcut near the lava maze that would not allow players to cross it if they were on it or right in front of it when frozen.
        • Players will now always be able to make it across as long as they are right in front of the stone or already on it when they get frozen.
      • Players who don't have at least 83 Slayer will no longer be assigned Spiritual Mages as a wilderness slayer task.
      • Fixed a bug where players could have a "sitting down" animation when outside of their house and not on a chair/bench.
      • The pirate NPC's in the jail cell have been made non-aggressive.
      • The Dwarf Cannon will no longer fire cannonballs at another player's Superior slayer encounter.
      • Fixed a bug where NPC's would be getting the same accuracy boosts that players had on range/melee hits, causing them to hit more often.
      • Fixed an issue with some bugged ladders on Ape Atoll.
      • Fixed a bug where the Driftwood on Fossil Island would take players to a random part of the map.
      • Fixed the entrance to the lumbridge swamp cave.
      • Fixed an issue where the stamina icon would not change if a player was using the 2010 gameframe after drinking a stamina potion.
      • Fixed an issue where manually casting a spell with a staff that had a built-in spell (trident) would cause the autocast delay to trigger.
      • Fixed a bug where players would need 3 free slots to harvest berries from a bush (even though only 2 were required).
      • Fixed a bank tag bug where players would not be able to click one of their real bank tabs to switch to it when they were on a Runelite bank tag.
        • They would have to first click on the bank tag again to close it.
      • Fixed a bug with the vengeance animation in 2010 mode.
      • Fixed a bug where players could not scroll through their bank tags properly with their mouse wheel using the Runelite Bank Tags plugin.
        • Players should now be able to use their mouse wheel to scroll through their tags if they’re hovering over the any of the tags.
      • Spears/Hasta’s now use the stab attack style when on defensive, rather than the slash attack style.
      • The godsword crush attack style will now use the proper animation.
      • Fixed an issue where the Dagannoth mother would not change colors on 2010 mode.
      • Fixed an issue where the Gelatinnoth mother would not change colors on 2010 mode.
      • Players can now fire sapphire bolts (e) and emerald bolts (e) from the Armadyl Crossbow.
      • The monkey cape variants will now provide the wilderness web slash effect.
      • Fixed an issue with a lot of broken object models on 2010 mode.
        • This should be mostly working properly now, but if you find any bugged objects, let us know and we’ll fix it right away.
      • The twisted league banner is now a one-handed weapon.
      • The trailblazer infernal axe is now accepted by Falo the Bard.
      • Fixed an issue where the completionist/max monkey variants would cause players to burn food.
      • Made it so players won't get duplicate hydra pieces (eye, fang, heart) if these pieces are in their looting bag or death boxes.
      • Fixed a bug where the slayer plugin wouldn't properly update when you completed a task.
        • The plugin will update to the proper points/streak when a player finishes their task and gets a new one.
      • The Blade of Saeldor’s chop animation will now be a slash instead of a stab, and the Lunge animation will now be a stab instead of a slash animation.
    • Trade Interface Changes:
      • Fixed a bug where the “Trade Modified” text on the confirmation screen would appear sometimes even if the trade wasn’t modified.
      • Added a value counter for both players on the first and second trade screens so that players can clearly see the approximate value that’s being traded.
        • This may not be 100% accurate, but it will give a general idea of the value, and will make it clear for players to know how much wealth they are receiving for specific items like platinum tokens, for example.
    • Mage Arena Changes:
      • Players will no longer be able to get higher tier wands if they don’t have the proper wand-wave unlocked.
        • Along with this, players will now automatically upgrade their wand waves when getting wand drops from the battle mages.
          • For example, if your wand wave was 0 (no wands unlocked), you’d only be able to get a beginner wand as a drop from a battle mage. Once you’ve gotten a beginner wand (either as a drop, or purchased from the shop), your wand wave will increase, and you’ll be able to get apprentice wands as drops.
    • Duo Slayer Changes:
      • If a player reaches 10 or more slayer or combat levels higher than their partner, then after the task they will automatically be split.
      • If a player finishes a task while their partner still has kills remaining (they were offline or left the area for a while) then the partners will automatically be split.
        • This is so that partners stay in sync for tasks, so if this happens, the partner who has kills left will either need to finish the task or cancel it and re-partner with the other player.
    • Auto-Equip Ammunition Changes:
      • The Auto-equip ammunition feature will now work for knives/darts or any ammunition a player holds in their weapon slot.
      • The Auto-equip ammunition feature will now work for the blowpipe.
      • The Auto-equip ammunition perk has been locked behind the Kourend & Kebos Hard Diary.
        • It is now shown as one of the perks, and will automatically be toggled on for players once they complete that diary.
    • Lunar Spellbook Changes:
      • Boost Potion Share:
        • The Boost Potion Share spell can now be cast by players with level 84 magic.
          • When cast, the player will be required to choose a potion in their inventory that they want to share with players in a 5x5 area around them (prioritizing the closest players).
            • The spell uses 1 dose for each person around, not including the caster, meaning if you cast the spell with only 1 other person around, 2 players will be able to benefit from 1 dose of a potion.
            • Restrictions:
              • This spell can only be used on players with accept aid on.
              • This spell cannot be cast on players in a duel/clan war with potions disable.
              • This spell cannot be used on any of the following potions:
                • Brews of any kind
                • Combat potions of any kind
                • Divine potions of any kind
                • Guthix Rest
                • Super Energy, Energy, or Stamina potions
                • Any untradeable potion
                • Overload potions
                • Xeric’s Aid’s
      • Stat Restore Pot Share:
        • The Stat Restore Pot Share spell can now be cast by players with level 81 magic.
          • When cast, the player will be required to choose a potion in their inventory that they want to share with players in a 5x5 area around them (prioritizing the closest players).
            • The spell uses 1 dose for each person around, not including the caster, meaning if you cast the spell with only 1 other person around, 2 players will be able to benefit from 1 dose of a potion.
            • Restrictions:
              • This spell can only be used on players with accept aid on.
              • This spell cannot be cast on players in a duel/clan war with potions disable.
              • This spell can only be used on restorative potions (super restore, prayer potion, energy potion, etc…).
    • Chambers of Xeric Layout Selection:
      • Players can now right click on the chambers of xeric entrance to select the type of layouts they want to have in the raid.
        • There are 3 layout options to select from:
          • Normal/Mixed:
            • These are the same layouts as before, it’ll just pick a random one to give.
          • Large layouts only:
            • Selecting this will only create a raid with a large layout.
              • Large layouts have 5 combat rooms and 3 puzzle rooms.
          • Small/Medium Layouts only:
            • Selecting this will filter out large layouts.
        • Eternal donators will also see an option to select their own layout.
          • There are 26 unique raids layouts to choose from, which will be shown in an interface that the player can use to select their preferred layout.\
    • Last man standing changes:
      • Players will now have their special attack restored upon killing another player.
      • Players who die in the non-survival mode LMS version will now only drop non-default loot.
        • This means the only items that are dropped will be ones that are looted from chests with a bloody/bloodier key.
      • When a player kills another player, instead of receiving a set amount of sharks and karambwan, they’ll now get the initial potions and food they put into their loadout, if they have the space for it.

I wasn't even aware this was an issue (couldn't find any bug reports reporting it), but it'll be fixed in the next client update.

So I've heard recently some players had their loot tracker disappear , well not to worry !

 

All you have to do is open the runelite application to open 07 , Log into runelite on that program & all of your loot progress should appear ! 

 

I recently discovered this since now I have switched to playing 07 for the majority of my free time now & upon logging into the runelite for 07 , aloras loot tracker progress comes up now. So not to worry if you don't see your loot being saved on aloras runelite , its still being marked down and tracked internally

I know Alora tries to mimic OSRS, but there are certain unique features that makes Alora more enjoyable to players.

 

Stuff like a teleport wizard to cut down travel time, shortened quests, and a botless community.

 

If you ask me, I think our community would very much enjoy the convenience of stacking clues.

No one likes having to halt a task to bang out a clue.  Just keeping it real!

This isn't in osrs but it is in runescape.
I know this was previously in the game and I and many others loved it, but with the clue scroll rework it was removed.
I'm suggesting re adding stackable clue scrolls as a quality of life. It's just nice not having to instantly complete a clue mid task or while skilling and being able to just do multiple at once.

I would like it to work as new update in OSRS, where one can put in items part of a set but not take it out. As of right now it is too tedious as one has to mainly rely on dragon imps and as UIM it's way too tedious...

How would this benefit Alora?:

 

As of right now, one would need to camp dragon imps at puro-puro for clue items which is fine, but as UIM one has too drop many unfinished clue parts because of inventory space and eventually that one needed item comes along and one has already dropped it.

What is your suggestion?: Able to make your Prospector gold also add stardust to the shooting star loot table 

Add Dusuri's Star shop to the falador like osrs and add same items to the shop as osrs has right now.

 

Add it so the shooting start can have more layers like osrs from 1 to 9

Celestial ring (uncharged) 2k

Star fragment - 3000 (this is to make the prospector pieces gold)
Bag full of gems - 300
Soft clay pack - 150
(Can edit the prices)

 

Copy paste from osrs wiki about the ring:

The celestial ring is a reward from the Shooting Stars activity, purchased from Dusuri's Star Shop for 2,000 stardust. Players can charge the ring with stardust, with each one added giving one charge (up to a maximum of 10,000). Uncharging the ring will remove all charges with the remaining stardust returned to the player.

 

Is this in OSRS?: Yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No.

How would this benefit Alora?: It makes sense for Maxed people too to mine shooting star, if this were accepted.
