I thought about the FSW concept a few days ago before my bedtime (yes im weird so what).
I would love to give it a shot and get the 2016 vibes once again, when Alora was starting up, and I thought about how would it be made so people won't become eco holders because of skill/game knowledge/donating.
1) Limit the FSW to Normie/Iron/UIM/HCIM, as it was in early 2017. All those gamemodes would not make sense in a FSW, so limiting the world to certain groups would entighten the economy, even though if most of the people decide to go for Ironman gamemode, which I'd doubt since every player has an already developed account on the main game and to grind less in order to burn out, normie would be a nice option.
2) Make Extreme Donator/Legendary Donator the maximum donor rank initially. First of all, no rank transfers from main world would not be allowed. So if people want any incentives that donator rank has to offer, they would need to donate again, making people judge whether do they actually need the highest possible donator rank in the early stages of the game mode.
3) Make ;;yell work across two worlds, where FSW players would have a tag in front of them, that would not divide the community entirely, as the Clan Chats should be meant to work in other worlds, as they are in OSRS. Considering majority of the communication nowadays goes over yell, making the 2 world yell would be quite handy, if necessary, could increase the cooldowns between yelling.
4) Time-lock the content and open them gradually. So that would mean that not all of the game is unlocked since the first minute, the concept would be:
Day 1: Wintertodt, PC, Tithe Farm and other minigames unlock.
Day 2: Revenant Cave & Barrows unlocks (making wildy alive as people have time to grind out their stats.)
Day 3: Unlock Vorkath, Gauntlet, Zulrah, Kraken, Cerb and other bosses.
Day 4: Unlock Chambers of Xeric
Day 6: Unlock Theatre of Blood
Day 7: Unlock Tombs of Amascut
5) Make it a temporary game mode initially. If it succeeds, proceed with the vote in order to keep it permanent. Make it a 6 month experience initially and if it wont die off and have decent amount of players playing on a daily basis, could vote for whether the gamemode will stay or be replaced with something else. Replacing means, that the accounts would be merged with the main game.
My five ideas about the game mode, idk if people would like it or not, but at the end of the day it comes down to Omicron whether he wants to experiment with that or not.
