We are slowly creeping towards our 4th Year Anniversary for Alora!

 

Alora officially went live on November 4th, 2016. I've personally been around since the start of Alora and can say I'm happy with what it has turned into over the years. I want to thank everyone that's been involved with Alora even if you just started yesterday. You guys have kept the server going strong since the start and words can't express how thankful we are for all of you.

 

Big shoutout to Omicron, Staff Team, and most importantly the community for keeping Alora going for nearly 4 years.

 

Similar to last year, we will be hosting a giveaway on top of the drop party we will be having. For everyone who leaves a like on this topic, you will be entered to win 1 Cosmetic/Ultimate mbox each! Only 1 entry per person as we will be checking (no liking on multiple accounts, they will NOT count and all of your accounts will be disqualified). Think i'll ban mage runs from mage bonus day as well. Still gives people the final day to get runs if they wanna do mage runs.

 

but the 300 m in prizes will just be for the weekend bonus xp

After talking with some people about bonus xp gonna make runs done on the weekend count for a different category so get runs done today with bonus range xp!

 

Prizes for runs completed during bonus xp will be

 

First: 125m

Second: 75m

Third: 50m

 

Gonna update the leaderboards again to make sure they are accurate.

@Reload can you re-time this I goofed and forgot to start timer. it beats my previous score and I think its one of the quickest mage kills.

@Reload I just got a really good time but I don't want to show the strat. Can I show you the video privately and still have it count or does it have to be public on the forum?

I'm not a fan of strat hiding. Removes the fun of speed running and limits the creativity of players. Once the time gets low the small optimizations come out and that's the best part of speed running imo. Also waiting until last moment might leave you behind because others who have faster times might do the same and you wouldn't be able to beat / catch up. if people are posting and competing there is less chance someone can horde a good run because they will be forced to catch up to the others competing openly.
