Abyssal Sire Guide

 

I. Information

The Abyssal Sire is an abyssal demon Slayer boss that requires 85 Slayer to kill. It is known for dropping the Unsired, which can be used at the Font of Consumption for a chance at obtaining an abyssal whip, abyssal dagger, abyssal head, jar of miasma, abyssal orphan or a piece of the abyssal bludgeon. The Unsired is dropped at a base rate of 1/100.

IV. Getting There

There are a few quick and convenient methods of getting to the Abyssal Sire. I personally prefer the POH method as you will already be going there to restore your stats between kills. You can set your last destination as a left click teleport on your POH Fairy Ring/Spirit Tree making this process quite fast.

  • Boss Teleport at the Teleport Wizard, then talking to the Overseer
  • D-I-P fairy ring code in your POH, then talking to the Overseer

 

 

V. Fight Mechanics & Overview

Phase 1:

During Phase 1 players need to stun the Sire using Shadow spells and then take out the 4 respiratory systems. You will need to use ranged or magic for this phase. Overhead prayers are not needed, and players should use offensive prayers during this phase.

  • If you are using a Trident, Sanguinesti staff or Tumeken's shadow you will want to be using the Longrange attack style, this will allow you to attack from 9-10 tiles away. *Longrange does not affect your attack speed with charged staves.

You can use the following marked tiles as reference points of where you want to path to attack each respiratory system. You can use the tile labeled 1 to stun the Abyssal Sire with Shadow Barrage then immediately start attacking the first respiratory system.

  • If you are using Magic for Phase 1, you will want to start 1 tile west from the tile currently marked 1.
  • If you aren't able to kill off all four respiratory system during one stun you can re-stun the Sire using Shadow Barrage again.
  • If you don't re-stun Sire, he will spawn miasma pools under your feet. These will poison you and deal 10-30 poison damage every tick you are standing on one.
  • Additionally, when un-stunned, the tentacles on each side of the room will deal melee damage to players within melee distance of them.

Phase 2+:

During Phase 2, Sire will descend toward the middle of the room. The Sire only attacks with melee so you will want to use Protect from Melee.

  • When Sire's HP reaches just under half of its HP (about 180 HP) it will teleport the player toward its northeast tile and begin opening a large portal within its body that will explode.
    • The tile it teleports you to is on a loading line so if you don't trigger that loading line before the teleport you will have a slight lag/delay when teleported. To prevent this, you can move to the northeast corner of Sire before being teleported.
  • The explosion will deal large damage to the player, more damage the closer the player is to the center of Sire. This damage can be avoided by stepping 2 tiles away, or it can be reflected back using Vengeance to increase your DPS.
  • Sire will also spawn 6-8 Scions before it explodes. These can be ignored as long as you have Protect from Melee active.
  • After the explosion attack, Sire will begin spawning miasma pools under the player. Like in Phase 1, these miasma pools will poison you and deal poison damage when stood on. These can be dodged by moving a tile or two as they spawn.

How would this benefit Alora?: A lot of people have been asking for this for a few months now. We even have a huge suggestion thread to allow the players to pay for a rank transfer. But sadly we havn't heard any feed back. I don't think it would hurt Daddy Omi's pockets too much, that for Christmas this year, he allows Uber+ to transfer the rank even if it was transferred before. It would show appreciate to us higher ranks that helped Daddy Omi rake in the cash, that he still loves and cares about us high contributors.

I would love the LMS to me revamped. It's kind of dead content (except for the events) any way.

Neutral on the PK Elo system. Would just give rewards to active pkers, probably won't revive edge pking. 

+1 on the updated PkP shop. Put items in there (not weapons) that pkers use daily. Also regular dragonstone bolts (e) please.

Edited to add regular dragonstone bolts. There is NO active pkers that pk at edge, that's the point. It does not reward people that PK Deep wildy (at the very least it forces them to edgeville/edgepvp if they want to gain elo, which means no pking ironmen/pvmers, only other pkers, also increased edge activity.)

Sorry for not having this topic on a regular format however it would not work/fit properly.

 

I have 3 suggestions here each with a different goal. The first being to give new pkers a simple, easy way to learn and pick up pking, the second being to keep all the top tier pkers interested in playing this server instead of getting bored and leaving for other servers/osrs like many of them have done in the past and lastly to overall clean up the pkp shop and make it more useful (Not necessarily more profitable) for the pvp scene.

 

UPDATED LAST MAN STANDING

 

This would be the PERFECT way for any player new to the current pvp meta to learn to tribrid pk. For those who don't know what the updated version is, you spawn in with standard welfare NH gear and inventory. Whenever you get a kill, your supplies are reset (Eliminates just camping fights until they finish for easy kills) and you also get a key which can be used on a chest for 2 random gear upgrades (This gear varies from barrows items, imbued rings, PvP weapons, BiS PvP items etc.) 

In my opinion this is perfect for any new pker since they risk nothing and can learn for free even on their ironman/whatever gamemode they are accounts. 

The rewards could be the same as LMS On OSRS (Mostly cosmetics), See here: https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/last-man-standing?oldschool=1 (Ty @Billesh for linking this.)

 

I understand of all these suggestions, this is what would take the largest amount of dev time however I think this is the perfect way to kickstart pking on alora, which is the only area the server lacks.

 

 

PK Elo System

 

This has worked/does work on many other servers. Whenever you get a kill you get (as an example) +15 to your elo rating, whenever you die you get say -10. This elo rating would reset say every 2 weeks and upon reset, the top 3 players get rewarded. (Please feel free to suggest rewards that would be fair.)

This should ONLY work below 5 wilderness or at edgepvp and on players risking over (an example) 750K. (Prevents farming skillers and ironmen/pvmers while increasing wilderness activity at edgeville, which is something many pkers look for when first joining the server.)

 

I believe this one would be the easiest to code/take up the least dev time and has no negative impact on the game in any way as long as the rewards are fair.

 

 

Updated PkP shop

 

Currently the pkp shop is 90% random items that are much easier obtained from pvm and 10% useless cosmetics. All pkers simply sell their emblems. My suggestion is a complete overhaul of this shop and making it items commonly used in PvP that don't come into the game as much as other items (From what I know, Please correct me if i am wrong.) 

 

ITEMS TO BE REMOVED:

 

AGS, TENT, TSOTD, ACB, CLAWS, ALL CERB BOOTS, SPIRIT SHIELD, CRYSTAL SHIELD, DFS, BANDOS, OCCULT, ALL ZENYTE JEWELLERY, ALL DARK BOW/WHIP PAINTS, BH HATS, ALL IMBUED RINGS (Keep the imbue ring option for 2.5k PKP.) RoW SCROLL, WILDY SWORD 4, SOUL BEARER.

 

 

ITEMS TO BE ADDED: 

 

PvP Boxes (HIGH AMOUNT OF PKP.), Morrigans Javelins, Morrigans thrownaxes, Opal dragon bolts, Dragonstone dragon bolts, Regular Dragonstone bolts, Heavy Ballista, Dragon javelins, 

 

 

This update does not necessarily make this shop more profitable, however it does make it very useful for people pking. This idea is that it will mean people that mainly get the emblems/pkp actually want to use them for items they will use/need, instead of having to spend (as an example) 100K Per dragon bolt (Yes that is what they are right now.) Which is just a stupid price. The list of items to be removed/added is obviously not finalized, if you have suggestions please let me know. 

This update again will take up very little dev time.

 

 

 

Please leave feedback/your thoughts below, tell me what you think is good and what you disagree with, this is meant to be for the WHOLE Community and balanced around everyone, not just for the top tier pvpers etc.

This part is purely for Omicrons life to be easier if he does decide to update the PKP Shop.

I worked out that each PKP is worth an average of 5300 GP, Or 795K Per Kill in the wilderness (Based on getting an average of 150 PKP per kill.)

These Prices are based off the top 10 Current items to buy from the PKP Shop in terms of  worth in the trading post. (If anyone is interested, add my discord Dan.2684 And i can explain how I worked this out in detail for each item.)

 

With this being said, I worked out that fair prices for ALL of the items I suggested are as follows:

Hello everyone,

 

This week's update wraps up the final major component of Prifddinas… Zalcano! We're very excited to announce that Alora is the first server to release this content and The Gauntlet, which we hope you've been enjoying since the last update! This skilling mini-game focuses on defeating Zalcano without the use of combat, which is different from most bosses. There's also a cool looking new pet, Smolcano, which can be obtained from the boss. On top of this, we've been listening to your Theatre of Blood loot feedback and have made some adjustments based on what we've heard.

 

  • Regional compost bins:
    • Compost bins now each operate as independent bins which players can use.
      • The following bins are currently functional:
        • Catherby
        • Ardougne
        • Falador
        • Port Phasmatys
        • Hosidius
  • Theatre of Blood loot changes:
    • As requested by many of you, we've modified the loot mechanics in the Theatre of Blood.
      • Just over a month ago, we matched OSRS's loot mechanics for ToB, which made it so that only one player on the team could get a unique item.
        • Many of you have expressed dislike on this aspect of the update, especially considering Alora's version of ToB always had a chance for every player on the team to receive a purple chest.
          • Considering this, we've tweaked the loot system to remove the limitation on only one player receiving loot. With the tweaks we've made, the drop rate is slightly better than before, but with a chance for multiple players to obtain rare loot which seems to be the main complaint that we've heard.
  • Prifddinas pickpocketing QOL:
    • All of the talk options on pickpocketable Prifddinas NPCs (over 35+ NPCs) have been removed, making the Pickpocket option the first and only option for an easy left-click pickpocket.
  • Ultimate Ironman drop fixes:
    • Ultimate Ironmen's items when dying will now stay on the ground for 60 minutes as intended. This was previously bugged.
  • Collection log additions:
    • Dragon chainbody will now properly be counted in 3 categories:
      • Slayer
      • Kalphite queen
      • Thermonuclear smoke devil
    • Sarachnis has been added to the bosses page.
    • The Gauntlet has been added to the bosses page.
    • Zalcano has been added to the bosses page.
    • Additions to Pet page:
      • Sraracha
      • Youngllef
      • Smolcano
  • Sarachnis QOL:
    • Sarachnis respawn time has been heavily reduced. (From 1 minute to ~15 seconds).
  • Bug fixes:
    • Mind/cosmic altars have been 'cheapfixed' for the time being. They are functional, but the maps are broken and will be fixed in the next update.
    • Fixed a bug where dark essence fragments wouldn’t show up in your inventory right away if you tried to chisel dark essence blocks.
    • Crystal armor body/Crystal armor body(basic/attuned/perfected) visual bug fixed.
    • Cannon loading/picking up has been fixed.
    • Fixed a bug with a bank booth in Varrock West Bank not functioning.
    • Added proper requirements for D'hide (g) and d'hide (t) items.
    • Fixed accurate attack animation on swords/longswords.
      • This includes, among other weapons, the Blade of Saeldor, leaf-bladed sword, and dragon sword.
    • Varrock guards are now attackable.
    • Added 40 range requirement on Robin Hood Hat.
    • Sandicrahb can no longer be attacked by multi-spells.
    • Slayer helmets now require 10 defense(instead of 13) to equip.
    • Fixed a shortcut in the Falador mine that previously took players near the Falador wall.
    • Cure me now turns your venom into poison if you are Venomed.
      • It can be used twice to turn Venom->Poison->Normal
    • Teleport crystals now function properly.
    • Fixed a tile just outside the cyclops room that was causing players tokens to drain.
    • The xp counter will now properly display “Lots!” If the player has over 2.147b experience.
    • Staff of light attack speed changed from 5 ticks to 4 ticks.
    • Stamina potion (2) can now longer be worn from the equipment stats interface.
    • Implings no longer spawn at Puro Puro (they should only spawn in Prifddinas).
    • You can no longer obtain a pet in The Gauntlet (through skilling actions).
    • Barrage orb gfx (when a player is already frozen) has been fixed.
    • The number of Clue boosters that you could receive from an Ultimate mystery box was previously 1, but has been increased to 3-6 as intended.
    • Skeletal wyvern staircase has been fixed.
    • The rock barriers at the ::1v1 tournament area have been fixed.
    • Ores no longer disappear (go invisible entirely) after running out of ores.
    • The staircase in the Brimhaven dungeon which takes you to the upper level (Greater demons) has been fixed.
  • Leaf bladed weaponry:
    • Leaf-bladed battle-axe and leaf-bladed sword animations have been updated.
    • All leaf bladed weapons, when used against Kurasks or Turoths, will now provide a 17.5% damage boost.
    • Leaf-bladed weaponry now requires 55 slayer to equip.
  • Web slashing changes:
    • Any weapon with a slash bonus can now cut through webs (throughout the whole world).
  • Justiciar armour set effect tweaks:
    • The set effect has been tweaked to be more accurate, and will always reduced incoming damage (except for in PvP situations) by a minimum of 1.
  • Arianwyn has been re-enabled to convert crystal seeds into weapons:
    • Due to many requests, Arianwyn has been re-enabled with the following changes:
      • Instead of 1m and 3m GP cost, it is now 2m/5m.
        • This is due to the addition of the Crystal bowl in Prifddinas which allows you to create Crystal weapon with shards, and keeping the GP cost the same would devalue the Crystal singing bowl.
  • Zalcano:
    • Description:
      • Zalcano is a demon imprisoned beneath Prifddinas that is fought using skilling rather than conventional combat. Being immune to traditional combat damage, players must use their Mining, Smithing and Runecrafting skills to create imbued tephra capable of destroying her stone armour. Once her armour has been destroyed, they must damage her by mining her with a pickaxe.
    • Access:
      • You can reach Zalcano through the Teleport wizard in the Mini-game menu, or by typing in ::zalcano.
        • Unlike the rest of Prifddinas, you do NOT need the same requirements that you need to enter the city to fight Zalcano.
          • The only requirements are:
            • 70 Mining and Smithing
            • Higher hit points are helpful.
    • Loot mechanics:
      • To receive loot from Zalcano players must contribute to the fight by dealing a certain amount of damage.
        • Players who do not contribute enough, or only contribute by either mining Zalcano(and not throwing tephra) will not be eligible to receive loot.
      • When Zalcano dies, she will always 1-3 crystal shards, as well as 1 roll on her loot table.
        • Each fight, 1 player(the one that dealt the most damage) will be named the MVP, and will receive an extra roll on the loot table, as well as Zalcano’s ashes.
        • The more damage done by a player, the higher the chance to receive better loot. This also applies to rare drops(including Smolcano).
    • Fight mechanics:
      • Golem spawn:
        • Zalcano will periodically spawn a golem in the south east part of the prison, which will walk up to Zalcano and heal him for the remaining amount of hp that it has.
          • The golem can be attacked by players who throw imbued tephra at it, and if it is killed, Zalcano will not be healed for anything.
            • The player who deals the most damage to the Golem when it dies will receive 16-24 imbued tephra.
      • Symbols:
        • Zalcano will periodically spawn a number of red/blue symbols on the ground.
          • Players who stand on the blue symbol will gain significantly increased damage/accuracy when throwing imbued tephra at Zalcano.
          • Players who stand on the red symbol will take significant damage and reduced run energy every game tick that they are on the symbol.
            • Note: Players who are wearing the complete graceful set will receive 25% reduced damage and run energy drain while standing on the red portal.
      • Rockfall:
        • Every so often, Zalcano will spawn 3-5 large boulders that fall from the ceiling close to target players.
          • Once these boulders hit the ground, any players that are on the same tile as a boulder will take a considerable amount of damage.
      • Pebble attack:
        • Zalcano will periodically stomp her feet, and then pebbles will fall on all players in the prison, causing a low amount of damage.
          • This attack is unavoidable.
      • Weak phase mechanics:
        • When Zalcano is in her weak phase, players will need to beware of being too close to her.
          • Any player(s) standing under Zalcano in her weak phase will take a small amount of damage each tick that they are under her.
          • When Zalcano rises from her weak phase, any players who are still next to her will be thrown back, taking damage in the process.
        • Zalcano will rise from her weak phase after a given period of time, or if 380+ damage is dealt to her.
          • When she rises, any tephra in players’ inventory will be destroyed by her shockwave.
    • Glowing ore:
      • There will always be 1 glowing ore present, which provides double tephra when mined.
      • Every so often, Zalcano will send a fire blast to the glowing ore, destroying it, and causing a new ore to glow.
        • Any players near this ore when it is destroyed will take a significant amount of damage.
    • Death:
      • All tephra will be lost upon death, and players will be teleported outside of the prison.
        • They may re-enter and continue where they left off, however they will need to mine/refine/imbue more tephra.
      • Dying at Zalcano is a safe death for all participants, including Hardcore Ironmen. 
  • Prifddinas Agility course tweaks:
      • The ladder to start the agility course now gives experience, as intended.
      • The exp rates overall have been slightly raised to match the base rates as OSRS, since there was a recent increase in experience per hour.
        • The largest increase was on the final obstacle in the agility course, which was increased from 968 base experience, to 1037 base experience.

 

 

 

 

  • Store updates:
    • Gauntlet Booster:
      • Gauntlet boosters are now available in the store!
        • The cost per booster is 15 tokens.
      • Effect:
        • The booster offers a +25% boost to your loot from The Gauntlet for 1 hour.
          • Assuming 10 minutes each run, you will have a drop boost for up to 6 runs total. If you are running the corrupted gauntlet, you will have the boost for up to 8 runs.
      • Other notes:
        • These boosters can be obtained from Super/Ultimate mystery boxes (in varying quantities).
        • Certain game modes (EIM/GIM/Classic/Realism/HCIM) can only open a scroll once every 3 hours. Every other game mode can open scrolls back to back as many times as they'd like.
        • EIM/GIM cannot open a Gauntlet booster if they are still under the effect of one.
        • Normal accounts can 'use' these scrolls on trade-locked players (eg. GIM) to transfer them (if they have tokens on their main account, it is essentially the same as moving tokens from a donation).

Good morning/afternoon/evening!

 

I am Nicely Done and I am new here. I stumbled upon an advertisement via Facebook several weeks ago, which had sparked my interest after looking through some media uploaded to the Facebook page. I have been lurking the website for a short while now, as well as been tuning into the community manager's live-streams over at YouTube, which were always enjoyable to watch. Today I thought I would finally register an account and begin playing. I know of the original RuneScape game, but I have never played it, nor a person(s)-made gaming private server based on it. Much obliged to those who have made informative threads and guides, as without them, I would not have been as confident as I currently am to begin playing. They have certainly helped me get a gist of how the game works and how to get started.

 

I have chosen the hardcore iron man game mode, because I like a challenge, and having only one life sounds frightening, yet so thrilling. I am super excited to obtain high tier armoury and weaponry, so that I can begin slaying the beasts and make tons of gold.

 

I like a good ol' chit chat, so everyone is more than welcome to add me and send me a message - perhaps we could slay beasts and do other in-game activities together!
