Where do I begin?

 

After quitting late 2019 due to the birth of my little man, I never expected to return to Alora. But here I am.

 

Before I begin, I'd like to point out that this is not an ass-kissing post. If you come to know me you'll know I'm honest and say things how I see them.

 

P.S - These are only updates that have been implemented in the game whilst i've been gone.

 

• Achievement Diaries

The implementation of the achievement diaries is a big yes from me, A massive props to the dev team for adding this in, Having to put in effort to get things such as the Ardounge Cloak 4 and Varrock armor 4 now gives you a sense of achievement for putting in that work and taking your time to complete the diaries. One of my favorite updates to come back to.

 

• Weekend events 

It honestly brings me joy to see these weekend events are still up and running, This is a staple that Alora has been consistently doing so a massive props to the @Event Managers

 

• Collection Log

It's only fitting that I add in the implementation of the collection log, Do I really need to explain my reasoning behind this? Who doesn't love the feeling of getting that green text in the log itself.

 

• Runelite Client

I've always been a fan of the regular client but to have a working Runelite client with the plugins for a RSPS is beyond spectacular, Another amazing props to the Devs on this

 

 

 

To the current staff team: Seeing the activity and interaction you have with Alora is amazing to see, I believe we have one of the better staff teams I've seen in my time. It's awesome to see some new faces on the team and sad to see some of the old ones go but like in life, everything happens for a reason. Keep it up +1 from me

 

All in all I still believe this is the Number 1 RSPS to have ever been launched. With amazing stuff and constant quality updates, The future is bright.

What is your suggestion?: 

Add a morph option to the hellpuppy pet. This would be unlocked by feeding it a Cerberus crystal of any kind. (Could also be done by feeding it a pair of Cerberus boots)

 

Once this is done, the hellpuppy pet can be morphed into a a bigger 3 headed version which would resemble Cerberus, just simply on a smaller scale (Think along the lines of the KQ pet).

 

After being unlocked, it would allow you to switch between the two forms.

How would this benefit Alora?: 

Currently the hellpuppy pet is a bit underwhelming, and this would a great addition which would put it more in line with other boss pets. It would be a cool update, and could also act as an item sink on a smaller scale.

What is your suggestion?:

 

Boost damage for Bow of Faerdhinen in raids the same as Inq. Mace, and Blade of Saeldor.

 

Is this in OSRS?:

 

No, but neither is boost for Mace or Blade.

How would this benefit Alora?:

 

 

On OSRS the Bow of Faerdhinen fits as an in-between for the blowpipe and the twisted bow. It does this by having high accuracy and a mid-high max hit that makes it effective at: Bandos, Sara, Inferno, Jad, Vorkath, KQ, and Dk's. Also in CoX primarily at Mystics, & Vespula but also being decent at Vasa and Olm.

 

The issue on Alora is that with the boosted accuracy, the blowpipe is more effective than it is on osrs (even after the nerf), and the Twisted bow is arguably more available to players than on osrs leaving little room in the meta for the Bow of Faerdhinen other than Fashionscape.

 

This change is logically consistent with the raids boost for the Inquisitor's Mace and the Blade of Saeldor - as it allows both of these high tier weapons to remain very viable in the meta even if they aren't BIS. As the mace & blade have not surpassed the viability/popularity of the rapier nonetheless the scythe I doubt the Bow of Faerdhinen would disrupt the range meta if it had the same boost. Also makes The Gauntlet more popular and allows different options for Iron, and Realism game modes to progress through the meta ladder rather than rushing T-bow & rushing Scythe.

 

 

TL;DR: T-bowless Iron noob cries after spending 17 days to get a bow that ends up being dead content.

What is your suggestion?:

Either make the re-spawn for runes at shop quicker or make it so every ironman has his own and it would restock every a few hours as right now it is impossible buy from there as it is always out of stock, well more often than not you might be able to buy from there after update if lucky. 

Is this in OSRS?: Well osrs has multiple worlds to switch, so not needed.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:  Probably not sure.

How would this benefit Alora?: Ironmans has some use for their coins and can buy runes quicker rather than being able to buy 500 blood runes there per day or less.
