Hey GAMERS, it has been a while since I have posted one of these! We are closing in on 3 years of being one the Dadmins of Alora (just 3 months to go), and currently over 4 1/2 years of being on the Alora staff team. I will keep this one short and simple, even years later...I am still in love & drawn by the community! Each year we all get closer, new faces come through, players take breaks, old faces return, but in the end we are still that one BIG CRAZY family. I appreciate all of you that I have gotten a chance to talk with, and Omicron for giving me the chances that led to today.

[3/12/20] Hotfixes

• League changes:
  • Vote book change:
    • 2FA is no longer required to obtain the bonus experience that Vote books provide.
      • We understand that this is a temporary tournament in which your account will be deleted, and many of you won't set up 2FA for it, so we've decided to make it a bit easier to get the Vote book's bonus XP.
  • League player ground item change:
    • Upon dying, Leagues players' items will now last a bit longer due to their items never going public and the larger distances between places.
      • Rather than disappearing after 5 minutes, their items will last for 10 minutes to allow ample time to retrieve items.
    • Dropped items will now last for 5 minutes rather than disappearing after 1 minute.
  • Store fix:
    • Donating on your Leagues account will no longer overwrite your League rank on the forums, and the donator rank will be added as secondary.
  • Client fixes:
    • Fixed League icon showing up as Server support.
    • Fixed the smiley emoji in-game showing up as the Leagues icon.
    • Added League support for skill calculators on RuneLite, as well as the Hiscores.
  • Bug fixes:
    • A bug with the Arcane Courier relic banking Bruma roots from Wintertodt has been fixed.
    • The Dark altar devotion relic now works with the prayer restore mechanic when burying bones in the catacombs of Kourend.
    • Hespori can now be accessed properly by League players.
    • Varlamore envoy will no longer be a requested book when doing the Arceuus library minigame.
    • League players can no longer setup a cannon.
    • You can no longer enter your own account's username to synchronize points with (to avoid confusion).
    • The Treasure seeker relic now allows players to hold multiple of the same tier clue scrolls.
    • The Shayzien Crypts entrance no longer takes you to an empty area, it has been blocked off as it serves no purpose on Alora at the moment.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Added crimson swift spawns north-west of mount quidamortem.
    • Teleport tablets will now ignore the scroll of redirection.
    • The Make-over mage can now be found in Kourend near the League players' home teleport.
    • Tiara mould has been added to the Ironman Supply shop, as well as the normal Skilling Supplies shop.
  • World map command:
    • We've heard your requests for a world map, and this is a task that would take us a considerable amount of time to implement. In the meantime, we've added a command to open a world map in the browser:

  • Vote shop changes:
    • The League vote shop no longer has the following items:
      • Fighter Torso
      • Ava’s accumulator
      • Dragon Defender
      • Crystal Keys
      • Cannon set
      • Cannonballs
    • New League vote shop items:
      • Added the battlefront teleport to the League vote shop for 5 vote points.
    • League players can no longer wear certain items previously found in the vote shop (Fighter torso, ava's accumulator, etc..)
  • Ensouled head changes:
    • Players can now use their ensouled heads on the Dark Altar in Kourend for prayer experience.
      • This process provides half the normal experience that it does on OSRS, given that the process is different (no runes required, and players are not required to fight the npc that gets spawned for the experience).
• Wintertodt changes:
  • The stormfall special attack in Wintertodt will no longer hit through walls (this allowed players to get glitched into walls).
    • This also fixes some safespots near Bruma roots that would never get hit with the snowfall attack.
  • Adding logs to the fire will only send the "You add the Bruma logs to the brazier" message in your chatbox when it actually adds the logs, rather than as soon as you click it.

Leagues Is Officially Live!
Hello everyone,

Leagues have officially been released! You can now log in on a fresh account and select the option in the tutorial to sign it up for Alora Leagues. This has to be on a brand new account (which will be deleted at the end of the tournament). We're super excited to hop into this new tournament with you guys, and we'll be playing on our own accounts as well We know that some of you have some questions about the game mode and tournament, so we've compiled a quick FAQ to answer any questions that you may have about the game mode:
 
Leagues FAQ

• How do I earn points?
  • Points can be earned by completing tasks.
• What can I do with points?
  • At the end of the tournament, points will be transferred to your main account and then they can be spent in the Leagues Reward Shop. This shop includes all of the Trailblazer rewards from OSRS, including:
    • Trailblazer Graceful Set Ornament Kit
    • Trailblazer Relic Hunter Outfit
    • Trailblazer Rug (Player-owned house)
    • Trailblazer Dragon Skilling Tools Ornament Kit
    • Trailblazer Globe Statue (Player-owned house)
    • Trailblazer Themed Banner
    • Trailblazer Home Teleport Animation
    • Trailblazer League Room (Player-owned house)
• How can I see who has the most points?
  • There is a Scoreboard right at the League player spawn point in Kourend, which will list the top 30 players based on points.
• What is the experience rate?
  • The experience rate is 8x, but increases to 12x once you have selected your tier 4 relic.
    • There are also numerous relics that will effective double your experience in certain skills, so you can get up to 24x potentially if you choose the right relic.
• Can I trade other players?
  • Trading is disabled. You can not trade players at all (or pick up their items), and if you die nobody can loot your items.
    • Drop-trading to main accounts is also not allowed, and items will simply disappear off of the ground if you attempt to do so.
      • This is due to the increased drop rate on League accounts.
• Can I go to Edgeville/Wilderness/Etc?
  • League players are locked to Zeah. If you are able to escape, you will simply be teleported back home.
• Do I start at level 3?
  • Yes, you will start on a fresh level 3 account and select the option to sign up for Leagues in the tutorial.
    • You will start with level 3 Herblore and level 15 Agility, but all other stats are level 1.
• Will I see other non-league players?
  • You will see normal players as well, but we have instanced a few key dungeons to allow for more space to train. We want to allow players to interact on the same world without splitting the player base.
• Where can I bank?
  • There are numerous banking locations in Zeah, but the most important one will be upstairs in Kourend castle, right next to your home teleport.
• Can I train construction?
  • Certainly! You can purchase a house from the Estate agent south of the Kourend Castle for a reduced rate of 2.5m coins (usually 10m).
  • You can even do Mahogany Homes contracts from Angelo, right next to the Estate Agent.
• Can I train Slayer?
  • You can train Slayer via Konar, who will allow you to start far earlier than normal accounts (only requires level 5 combat). You will only received tasks that are in Kourend & Kebos.
• Can I donate for items?
  • League players cannot donate for items in the store.
• Can I donate for rank?
  • You may donate to obtain rank benefits, but this is capped to Extreme donator. After this tier, you will no longer obtain the higher rank benefits (eg. Legendary and onwards) to reduce the advantage that donator ranks give.
• Can I transfer bonds or boosters to my account?
  • You cannot transfer bonds, vote books or boosters to your account.
• Can I use a booster on my account?
  • No, boosters have been disabled on League accounts.
• Can vote books be used on League accounts?
  • You can open vote books on League accounts, but the bonus experience rates are reduced to 25% instead of 50%. The 5% Raids bonus still applies, as does the Slayer point bonus.
  • You must claim the auth directly on the League account, as you cannot transfer vote books from your main.
• Will the Well of Goodwill and other XP boosts work on League accounts?
  • Most experience boosts are disabled for league players, including the Well of Goodwill, Skill of the Day, and other event experience bonuses.
• What happens to my account at the end of the tournament?
  • Your account becomes locked, and you will be kicked out of the game within a few seconds after you log in. Essentially, the account is wiped and can no longer be played on.
• When can I spend my points?
  • Points can be spent at the end of the tournament, at 7pm Eastern Time on December 31st, 2020.
• Which areas are instanced?
  • The following dungeons are instanced and can be entered by using the 2nd right-click option (Enter Leagues Instance):
    • Forthos dungeon
    • Catacombs of Kourend
    • Lizardman Caves

• What relics (perks) are available?
  • You can only select 1 relic from every tier:
    • Tier 1 (0 points)
      • Abyssal Accumulator
        • Players save 85% of their ammunition and runes.
      • Endless Endurance
        • Players have unlimited run energy.
        • The rate in which hit points are restored is quadrupled.
      • Dark Altar Devotion
        • Bones dropped by monsters are automatically buried, and grant 4x the normal experience.
        • The rate at which prayer is drained is halved.
        • Ensouled heads now drop two at a time.
    • Tier 2 (400 points)
      • Hardcore Harvester
        • 3x the usual amount of resources from Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting.
        • 3x the Molch pearls from Aerial fishing.
        • Farming patches will grow 5x as quickly.
      • Arcane Courier
        • All supply crates from Wintertodt, as well as resources gathered from Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting and Farming are automatically sent to your bank.
      • Unnatural Selection
        • Players can now choose which farming contract and Slayer task they would like.
    • Tier 3 (1,200 points)
      • Eye of the Artisan
        • Players receive double the usual amount of experience in Smithing, Cooking, Firemaking, Herblore, Fletching, Crafting and Construction.
      • Gift of the Gatherer
        • Players receive double the usual amount of experience in Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Hunter, Thieving, Farming, and Runecraft.
      • Way of the Warrior
        • Players receive double the usual amount of experience in Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Magic, Ranged and Prayer.
    • Tier 4 (2,500 points)
      • Spirit of Dinh
        • Players will take no damage from Wintertodt.
        • Wintertodt's attacks no longer interrupt your actions.
        • Supply crates now give triple the usual amount of loot.
      • Konar's Blessing
        • Players gain a 10% increase in accuracy and damage for all attack styles, or 30% if the monster is your Slayer task.
      • Treasure Seeker
        • NPCs that drop clue scrolls now have a flat 1/10 chance of dropping them.
        • Clue geodes, nests and bottles are now found 10x more frequently.
        • All un-started clues are stackable.
        • All clues have the lowest number of steps possible for their tier.
    • Tier 5 (5,000 points)
      • Xeric's Focus
        • The attack speed of all weapons are sped up by 1, including magic spells. Special attacks with instant attacks are unaffected.
      • Xeric's Resilience
        • Players take 50% less damage from all monsters.
        • Prayer is restored at a rate of 1 point every 3.6 seconds.
      • Xeric's Wisdom
        • Players receive 2x the usual experience from all skills. This stacks with any existing experience multipliers.

Other Updates, Bug Fixes & QoL (Automated Awards, Sarachnis Instance, Hosidius Ploughing)

• Lottery changes:
  • The lottery winner will now be announced on Discord in the game_news channel.
  • The jackpot will now be formatted properly for billions (rather than showing 11150m, it will show 11.5B as the jackpot).
  • Countdown:
    • 12 hours before the lottery is drawn, an hourly message will be sent notifying players that it is drawing soon.
      • Additionally, when there is less than an hour left, a message will be sent at 30 minutes, 10 minutes and 5 minutes.
• Automated awards:
  • We've started automating some awards, so that they're automatically added to your account when you reach certain milestones in-game, without having to request the award.
    • This doesn't include every single award, but does contain most of them, including the following:
      • Lottery Winner:
        • The lottery award will be added to your account, along with the date of the lottery and the jackpot added as a note. You can have multiple lottery awards if you win more than once.
      • Infernal cape:
        • This award will be added to your account along with a note with the date that you achieved it, as well as your killcount.
          • If you complete the Inferno multiple times, only your latest completion will be shown (with your current killcount in the note)
      • Bounty Hunter Tiers:
        • 6 different awards for kill streaks between 100-1,000.
      • Cold-blooded awards:
        • 5 different awards, awarded for defeating between 500 and 2,500 players.
      • Chambers of Xeric awards:
        • 6 different awards, for having between 250 and 2,000 CoX completions.
      • Theatre of Blood awards:
        • 6 different awards, for having between 250 and 2,000 ToB completions.
      • Collection log awards:
        • Awarded upon completing a collection log entry:
          • Chambers of Xeric (Xeric's Collector)
          • Theatre of Blood (Theatre Collector)
          • The Nightmare (Ashihama's Collector)
          • Minigame (Both Mage arena & Pest control logs)
      • Clue awards:
        • Scroll sack:
          • Awarded upon obtainingg Scroll sack
        • Sherlock:
          • Awarded upon completing 1,000 clue scrolls.
      • Skilling awards:
        • Maxing out on a non-normal game mode will get you one of the following awards based on your game mode:
          • Classic Nerc, Elitist, Iron Boss, Group Chief, Ultimate Pro, Realist or Stayin' Alive.
        • Geek
          • Earned by obtaining 4.6b total experience (200m XP in every skill).
        • Completionist:
          • Earned by obtaining the Completionist cape.
      • Killcount awards:
        • Unforgiven:
          • Awarded to those with over 1000 kills on 3 different non-wildy bosses.
        • Unbeatable:
          • Awarded to those with over 1000 kills on 3 different wildy bosses.
        • The Nightmare:
          • Awarded to those with over 500 killcount on The Nightmare.
      • Pet awards:
        • Pet Collector:
          • Awarded once you obtain 15 pets.
        • Pet Completionist:
          • Awarded once you obtain all boss, skilling and custom pets.
    • Non-automated awards:
      • By speaking to Hans, you can ask for 2 forum awards to be added to your account:
        • Oldschool:
          • This award simply requires a 2016 join date.
        • Daily Gamer:
          • This award requires 100+ days of in-game playtime.
  • These awards will not be automatically added for old achievements. For example, if you are already past 250 CoX completions, you will not get the first award unless you request it in the Support section of our forums.
• Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where the crystal armour set damage bonus to the crystal bow was not properly being applied.
  • Added the Crystal Armor set effects to the equipment viewer interface.
  • Kill-time record announcement fix:
    • Sometimes, the game would announce that a kill-time record has been beaten (eg. Corp at 58 seconds) even though it was a team kill and it didn't break the solo record.
      • Now, only solo kills will be announced if they've broken the record.
        • Note: The old bug did not actually affect the kill-time records that are saved, for example Corporeal beast record is still 2:32 for a solo.
  • Dying on the Chambers of Xeric log balance should no longer place you in a random area.
  • Puzzle boxes can no longer be traded.
  • Chocolate bars can now be eaten (and will heal 3hp).
  • Getting the Corrupted Youngllef pet from the gauntlet will now count towards the collection log.
  • Fixed a bug where the inventory presets would only withdraw items from the first 768 slots of your bank (due to the previous limit).
  • Fixed a bug with mahogany homes not properly allowing players to repair objects sometimes.
  • Fixed a bug where the vanguards would send the attack gfx to players anywhere in the raid, even if they were unattackable.
  • Reduced the attack level requirements of the leaf-bladed spear from 65 to 50.
  • Players can now longer deal damage to Guardians in CoX with the Dragon claw special attack.
  • The scythe of vitur can no longer deal any damage against guardians in the Chambers of Xeric.
  • The prayer altar in Kourend castle is now functional.
  • Fixed a typo where Tears of Guthix wasn't stating that the time players had to wait was in hours.
  • Fixed a bug where players would be notified that their "Tin" herb was fully grown when it should have said "Tarromin".
  • Fixed an issue where players could fletch the Bruma roots while woodcutting.
  • Fixed a bug where players were able to select the amount of wilderness slayer npc's to have assigned as a task.
  • The Server Support Icon will now be more correctly positioned (it was far too high).
• Quality of Life:
  • Tripled the restock rate of rune shops from 2 every 30 seconds to 6 every 30 seconds.
  • The shortcut to the Zamorak temple in Burthorpe is now functional.
  • Added a Wine of Zamorak spawn in the Zamorak temple near Burthorpe.
  • Changed the Inventory Setups plugin name to Inventory Presets for clarity.
  • Reduced the Pk point cost of the Soul bearer from 7.5k to 4.5k Pk points.
  • Reduced the cost to make planks for GIM/EIM/Realism accounts by 30%.
  • Coins to pay for Instances can now be withdrawn from the bank if a player doesn't have enough gold in their inventory.
  • Added Anglerfish spawns in Piscarilius.
    • These can only be used by League players.
  • Added mountain troll spawns near Mount Quidamortem.
  • Added Rock crab spawns near Mount Quidamortem.
  • Added fishing spawns around Kourend.
  • Added 17 new Clue scroll steps in Kourend.
  • Players will now be notified how many farming contracts they’ve completed.
    • We were not previously tracking this, so it’ll start at 0 as of this update.
  • Players will now be notified how many grubby chests they’ve opened.
    • We were not previously tracking this, so it’ll start at 0 as of this update.
  • Removed the dragon sword, dragon thrownaxes, and dragon harpoon for the Chambers of Xeric collection log.
• Kourend Mine Cart System:
  • Players can now speak to the dwarves that operate the mine carts around Kourend to travel between the stations.
    • The mine cart can take players to the following areas:
      • Hosidius
      • Piscarilius
      • Shayzien
      • Arceuus
      • Lovakengj
      • Quidamortem
• Hosidius Ploughing:
  • Players can now push the ploughs in the fields near Hosidius.
    • Doing so will provide 10 farming experience every time you push the plow.
      • Occasionally the plough will break, and require a player with a hammer to repair it.
        • This will provide 10 crafting experience.
• Mahogany Homes carpenter point changes:
  • Eternal donators will receive an extra 2 carpenter points for completing Mahogany homes tasks.
  • Uber+ donators will receive an extra carpenter point for completing Mahogany homes tasks.
  • Default contract completion point changes:
    • All contracts will now give 1 extra point:
      • Beginner contracts: 3 points
      • Novice contracts: 4 points
      • Adept contracts: 5 points
      • Expert contracts: 6 points 
• Crystal chest changes:
  • Added a 1/1000 chance of obtaining a pair of Infinity boots from the crystal chest.
  • Fixed an issue where the crystal chest count would be 1 less than the actual amount of chests opened when rare loot was announced.
• Sarachnis Instance:
  • Players will now be able to enter an instance for the Sarachnis boss.
    • To do so, when at the entrance to the boss, they can right-click the webs and select the option to enter an instance, rather than slash the webs.
      • Since this is a mid-tier boss, there is no entrance fee to enter, similar to Zulrah/Kraken/Hydra instances.
• Shop changes:
  • Added the Thyria's Wares rune shop in Arceuus.
    • This shop is currently restricted only to Alora League players.
      • The stock can be found here:
        • The items in this shop respawn at a rate of 2 items every 2 ticks, as opposed to the normal restocking rate of 2 every 30 ticks.

• Hosidius Fruit Stall:
  • Players can now thieve from the Hosidius fruit stall.
    • This stall requires level 25 Thieving to steal from, and provides 28.5 base Thieving experience.
      • The rewards and their rates are similar to the table here:

• Silver stall:
  • Players can now thieve from the Silver stall in Kourend and Ardougne market.
    • This stall requires level 50 Thieving to steal from, and provides 54 base Thieving experience.
      • The stall rewards 1 silver ore, and can be thieved every 20 seconds.
• Silk Stall:
  • Players can now thieve from the Silk stall in Kourend and Ardougne market.
    • This stall requires level 20 Thieving to steal from, and provides 24 base Thieving experience.
      • This stall rewards 1 silk.
        • The silk can be traded in to the nearby silk merchant for 600 coins each.
          • Noted silk may not be exchanged.
• Tea Stall:
  • Players can now thieve from the tea stalls in Kourend/Varrock given that they have at least 5 Thieving.
    • This will provide 16 base Thieving experience, as well as a cup of tea.
      • Players can drink the cup of tea to heal 3 hitpoints, and receive a temporary attack stat boost of 3.
• Leagues-only Instanced Dungeons:
  • To give a bit more space to train to Leagues players, the following areas have been instanced:
    • Catacombs of Kourend
      • The Kourend Statue will allow you to enter the Leagues-only dungeon.
    • Forthos dungeon (as well as Sarachnis instance)
      • The ladder that normally takes you to the Forthos dungeon has a new right-click option.
    • Lizardman Caves
      • The entrance near the usual Lizardman area now has a new right-click option.

What is your suggestion?: I have recently been doing a fair bit of TOB. I know general drop rate for TOB is 1/9*#players, but it would be nice if we could get the chance for each item. I have been told all items are the same rarity except for sycthe but would love a confirmation. Also pet rate and dust rate is not really known. Getting this info for CoX would also be nice.

Is this in OSRS?: Yes. Drop rate mechanics have already been released years ago. 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not that I know of.

How would this benefit Alora?: Knowledge is always useful. 

Todays Cerberus event consisted of obtaining Eternal,Pegasian & Primoridal OR Smouldering stone & pet to win the Twisted bow that was donated to Moe by a Alorian

This is what my drops at Cerberus looked like today as I HAD to participate in such a rewarding prize



I only had pegasian left and ended up getting smouldering stone so from there i used my pet boosters and well the result
shows itself.






The MVP of this whole thing was the couple of months collecting supply chests & my recent 200m cooking that had my supplies
good for the 5 hours I was killing this boss, Thank God

Either make the re-spawn for runes at shop quicker or make it so every ironman has his own and it would restock every a few hours as right now it is impossible buy from there as it is always out of stock, well more often than not you might be able to buy from there after update if lucky. 

Is this in OSRS?: Well osrs has multiple worlds to switch, so not needed.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:  Probably not sure.

How would this benefit Alora?: Ironmans has some use for their coins and can buy runes quicker rather than being able to buy 500 blood runes there per day or less.
