idea for divine/eternal perks rework:

able to actually choose Cox bosses layout and not just getting randomized bosses/puzzles rooms on a fixed template

would be nice to see it for eternal aswelll. ^^ if its considered too op then just make it like 5x raids where u can pick the rooms daily for eternal and 10x or unlimited for Divine rank per example.

I would like to see this added for eternal and divine, sometimes i have still have to reset 5-10 times for a good layout, 20k+ ranks deserve better rights

I find it crazy that a $50k rank has been added to an RSPS, especially with the current monthly player base.

From a monetisation standpoint, this ain't really it... cmonBruh.

A $50k rank is aimed at such a tiny group of heads. Even if someone eventually buys it, you're basically relying on a handful of people being willing to drop an absurd amount of money.

Whereas improving the lower/mid donor tiers gives you a much bigger pool of people to work with.

Say you've got 100 players sitting at $50. Give them some desirable perks at $250, and even if you only get 20% of them to upgrade, that's 20 x $200 = $4k in extra revenue.

Then you've got those $250 players to potentially push towards $750, $1k, etc. You can keep giving people reasons to move up instead of going straight from normal donor tiers to a $50k rank.

And if there's already 10(?) donor tiers, there's honestly loads of room to make the progression itself more appealing rather than jumping all the way up to $50k.

Obviously you don't want to make the lower tiers feel pointless either. Give people stuff they actually want init? Exclusive areas, useful QoL, cosmetics, titles, convenience, extra activities, whatever. Things that make someone at $50 think "fuck it, another $200 gets me all that?"

The $50k rank can still exist and bring in some extra money if someone wants it, but I'd see that more as a bonus rather than the main monetisation strategy.

Basically, I'd rather have thousands of people thinking about spending another $50–$500 than build your whole strategy around finding the one or two guy willing to yeet $50k into the server.

But ye, those $50k benefits ain't shit cuh... I'm dropping $50k or single-handedly funding half the server, I better be getting the damn server keys, Omicorn's login, and a seat in the staff Discord.

•dupe pet trade in- when you get a dupe pet from a boss you can exchange it for a guaranteed unique roll from that bosses drop table, could weigh the more rarer items to be less common. For skilling pets you can trade them in for an xp lamp

Absolutely not.

Can you explain why not? Most pets are significantly rarer than all other items dropped from their boss (aside from maybe the jar of stone?) if someone like @Sagacious is lucky enough to get multiple pets, then this would give it some use and doesn't sound op for the tier donator rank required to do this.

If I'm being honest, it just sounds extremely stupid. With the exception of the fight caves & inferno.. and yama I guess... everything else you have to get as a drop yourself. Doing these little trades and gambles just doesn't feel right to me. Like, I have 5 nightmare pets and potentially completing the log like that just sounds shit IMO. If this was ever added to the game, I would kill Omicron... and I would at least hope it would be an option available to all players.

didnt you basically buy your yama clog tho? It's also exclusive to a $50k rank that most people won't have access too, and most people wont have a dupe pet before finishing most clogs, AND if you still don't like it and want to grind the boss out yourself you can choose not to do it

I did, because the option was available to me, and it felt like a cheat code and not right at all. The cape gambles have always felt weird to me as well. So if most people won't have access to this rank, who does this benefit then? We both know you're like the only divine donator that hunts collection logs, so this would only benefit you and no one else? Plenty of people have dupe pets before finishing the respective collection log, and we both know that whoever is hunting collection logs and is against this suggestion(me), is not going to be killing the boss for fun when this option is available. It's no secret that administrators get the eternal rank for free and will most likely get the divine rank in the future, so this would be highly beneficial for me, probably more than you because of the 5 nightmare pets I have, but having the option to cut down this grind by potentially hundreds of hours is just not right, I strongly oppose this. The whole point of the boss collection logs is to acquire the drop yourself, getting the option to acquire these drops by gambling another drop which is rarer is shitty in my opinion.

•slayer task quantity choosing- allow us to choose how many of a monster we want to kill, regardless if its a boss task or not

Neutral, seems op for slayer points?

as eternal you can already spam 3 boss kc tasks and farm tons of points, ive passed 35k before on my gim already, this is just so players can pick exactly how many of a certain npc they want to send attempts on to get a drop

Yes you can, but it would be like twice as quick, potentially even faster. Get 3 ankous task -> have alt clump them -> send dinhs bulwark specs to complete the task within 10 seconds -> repeat. It just sounds too overpowered for my liking.

still seems like a non issue ngl, slayer points are hardly useful as eternal+, could also just set a minimum to the task like 10-15 for lower lvled npcs. I mainly just want to stop doing random numbers of amoxliatl tasks

So if slayer points are hardly useful for eternal+, what is the point of this perk exactly? Just seems like a nothingburger.

•extended like a boss option- allow us to pick up to 100-150 kc for boss tasks

Devalues the grandmaster perk, you can just go back and re-pick the task every 65 kills.

What devalues grandmaster is having a cosmetic version of the helmet... as far as the perk i think for $50k we should make it more 'valuable' to have

I don't disagree. Staff weren't aware they were being added until the update dropped, I've been against the addition of them since then. If I had it my way I would remove all tradeable combat achievement slayer helm kits and give the players some store tokens. Regarding your suggestion, I don't see the need the need to unnecessarily devalue the grandmaster perk. You're not doing 65+ kill boss trips anyways so in the grand scheme of things this perk is a bit of a nothing burger.

if youre not doing 65+ kill trips anyways then how would it devalue grandmaster perk if grandmaster perk already seems useless? most people who are divines wont pvm anyways

Idk what else to add to this, I would prefer if extended boss tasks was kept as a combat achievement perk.

•drop rates- change the drop rate to 30% instead of 21%, as the final rank on alora going from $20k to $50k a 2% buff is insane

Perhaps buff it up to 25%, 30% is too much.

why is it too much? it costs 250b or $12.5k irl to get this rank from scratch, if someones chugging that out I'd argue even 30% is low, but for some reason we're so strung up on thinking players asking for 'op' things for a $50k rank is obsurd

Because you're only looking at this perk and deciding it's not good enough, but you're not looking at the whole rank as a whole. If you step back and look at the perks, they're actually quite overpowered, especially as you can transfer it to new accounts every month. 25% sounds good enough for me, 30% would be pushing it.

i actually am looking at the rank as a whole and it looks so shit, along with so many other people who are agreeing that its so shit. i dont get why you and omicron have this idea that its sooo over powered as is, or if yall just lost a sense of how much $50k rank actually takes a person to try and get. it makes the owner look greedy and hardly any value to go from eternal to divine, when most people think it should be as a status people should strive to want, its seen as a joke right now

I don't know, I guess we have different perspectives. It genuinely has so many overpowered boosts, on top of the fact that if you play several different game modes, you can transfer the rank once a month and it genuinely becomes the most broken thing to ever exist. I'm not saying it's perfect, obviously improvements can be made, and as Omicron said he will probably release another wave of donator perks for divine donator, so lets wait and see what happens. I chuckled at the fact that you said that it's a status people should strive to want. Anyone with half a brain knows it's not obtainable unless you somehow manage to become an eco holder.

•pet rates- increase it from 20% to 25% and double check the in game drop tables (currently it seems incorrect)

Fine as is at 20%.

also fine as 25%; Also https://imgur.com/a/zuLjLBx I'm not sure if somethings wrong with the coding, but majority of pet drop rates hardly change from eternal to divine, majority if not all are under 50 kc difference.

I don't have much to add. 20% is fine. And yeah we're aware of the issue in the drop tables. It's visually wrong in the drop table viewer and will be fixed soon I hope.

so this fix was implemented last night, and it made ALL the drops EVEN WORSE like you cant make this shit up  a single pet booster already outclasses the buff divine donator gets "yeah but you can stack them" isnt the point, the rank is shit and being so afraid of making a $50k rank sounds counter intuitive when you want people to actually want the rank

The drop table viewer can rarely be off visually compared to the actual drop tables. The drops are boosted correctly under the hood. If you weren't aware, the 20% donator perk stacks on top of the pet booster. A pet with a 1/3,000 drop rate becomes 1/2,000 with both of them combined lol. How's that not busted?

•Raids- increase the rolls in raids to 10, minimum 7

No way, just leave it at 7.

asking for a busted rank deserves busted boosts

All the other perks are busted as is.

no theyre not, i listed a handful that are mostly dead content after the first week playing if that

Cba repeating, read above.

•Vote book- gives 25% more xp on top of what's currently given

Absolutely not.

why not? it's not like anyone is 'racing' for highscores when max xp is already predetermined with account creation date.

Those that obtain max experience now with the release of sailing will have their order displayed correctly. It would also make lower experience rate modes so much easier to max. I'm strongly against this one.

that wasnt announced on any update post afaik

It's been mentioned a few times by staff over the past few months, but I don't blame you if you missed it. But yeah it works as intended now.

•Farming- all farmed plants/trees/etc grow 25% faster

Absolutely not.

again.. why not? because my magic tree grew 25% faster for $50k is that some huge problem?

See my reply re; drop rates

see my reply there too

-

•1 click dig- recover all herbs/plants in 1 action rather than doing 1 action per herb, or whatever it is youre farming

I had a slightly different idea; when harvesting crops, have them be noted. All crops in 1 action seems op.

having them noted would make it so you cant clean them as you harvest, regardless 1 action imo isn't too op, even OSRS was going to add this with the demonic digger at one point

I still prefer my idea, there's a reason why Jagex decided against even polling this idea.

jagex also doesn't add 99% of the stuff alora does for its content, thats a terrible reason why we wouldnt add it, this would literally just speed up farm runs by a few minutes for players who reached the highest donator rank that alora will ever have (supposedly)

Hypothetically if this was added, how many divine donators are even doing farm runs...?

•access to past untradable holiday items in a shop

Not a fan. IMO a player having older holiday items shows that you were there during that year.

would be nice to be able to link multiple of our accounts to be able to claim untradables on newer ones to show we were around for our oldest account around

That doesn't mean you were there. I have plenty of accounts from release, that doesn't mean I was there during some anniversaries. Linking accounts and stuff sounds complicated so I'll no support this one.

jagex lets all new accounts get all holiday items from previous years, we should follow their foot steps like you wanted with demonic digger

Yeah and it's stupid that they do that in my opinion. Active veterans that are here over the years should be "rewarded" with limited cosmetics.

•boosters- increase boost bonus's from 25% to 35%

Extended timer is already fine as it is.

extended timer is nice, but still prefer a buff in the actual % not just to go the same rate for longer

Not much to add here, I'm against it.

i, as a divine donator, am for it

Shocker.

•scar extracts give 50% more runes and cost 50% less

50% more runes sounds op, I suppose a less cost is fine.

you're telling me you think 50% more runes for $50k is too op?... seriously?

my point is if omicron is going to ask for an insane price tag for this final rank, then give players an insane reason to want it. i feel like the majority of my suggestions were tame at best compared to some of the things people told me they'd want for this rank.

That's my opinion, will go more into it below.

As it stands right now my game play has literally changed 0 on my gim going from eternal to divine rank, and thinking back on all i've done, i couldn't see it changing hardly any extra. so much bloat 'perks' that are dead content and can be completely removed from what we currently have. give players a reason to want divine rank, because majority of people would stop at eternal and be perfectly fine, divine seems to be just a cosmetic symbol if anything

I know for a fact that if the majority of these suggestions were implemented before you made this topic, we would still hear how the rank is underwhelming. You're making it seem like these suggestions are going to result in people WANTING to get this rank above all else. If we're being truthful, no matter how many perks you add to it, it's simply not obtainable by 99.9% of the player base. The only 2 ways to obtain this rank are to either be rich irl, or to become an eco holder. And a rich irl person, or an eco holder will most likely not be doing farm runs, or shortened slayer tasks, so I feel like quite a lot of these perks are suggested in vain.

See my responses in orange.

I understand $50k is quite steep and I don't want to come across as inconsiderate.. but the majority of divine donators got their rank by gambling in-game and buying rank tickets, making it much easier to acquire the rank compared to when immortal and eternal ranks were released. Using the excuse of "but it's $50k" for half the suggestions doesn't really justify why some of your suggestions should be added. If I had it my way, I would've revisited all donator perks and rebalanced and added some before deciding to release another tier, but what's done is done.

Perhaps lowering the amount required for the rank from $50k to $40k would make the rank feel more justified? But I'm not sure if that's something Omicron is willing to do at this stage.

i don't know where you got this notion that most immortal and eternals didn't gamble their ways to their ranks, id argue theres less than a handful of players who obtained all their rank soley through game play with no donations and no gambling. rank tickets were always a thing for eternal, and for immortal before rank tickets 4:1 were ALWAYS a thing via custom donations, i don't understand why you're trying to paint this false narrative.

i agree all ranks should be revised, but only to make them better, because alora just seems so greedy compared to other rsps's when it comes to their donator ranks and really makes it hard to sell to newer players when they see the 'benefits' they get for the price tags. and i constantly repeat "its $50k" because IT'S $50K like do you not understand how much that is? doing it 4:1 is still $12.5k irl or 250b in game gp for a fucking private server lol.

divine rank should be something people see in awe, and hope to achieve it one day for how good it is, but as it currently stands it's hardly better than eternal and anyone with 150b to burn would probably be better off putting that in literally anything besides ranks. i get some people will still go for it just to have 'the best' rank, but that doesn't mean it's worth it as it currently is when most scroll boosters give you an already better buff than divine currently does

another perk could be adding an npc named tool belt that you can trade and store items in so you never need to run around with them when doing certain actions again. pic below as an example.

I didn't say that most immortals and eternals didn't gamble their way to their banks, I said the opposite. Eternal was released in 2020, rank tickets were released 3 years after that. If you were around back during those years, then you'd know tiring of a process it was to complete a custom donation. Find a person that was willing to go through the process and wait for days while Omicron confirmed the donation, the supply was a lot less compared to now. These days, a person can simply donate $100 and sell the ticket to someone within an hour, so the road to divine donator is A LOT easier compared to the road to eternal back in the days, which is why I'm not going crazy for some batshit crazy perks. In 2020 it was a lot harder to get to eternal so some of the perks are justified. I don't understand why you keep mentioning how people should be hoping to achieve it. At least with immortal and eternal it's kinda achievable with a little bit of gambling luck, but divine is 250b... like there will only be a handful of people that achieve this rank. If I'm being honest, I feel like a lot of these perks, such as the booster % increase, gambling pets for unique rolls and the other stuff you're only suggesting to benefit yourself.

I had a look at some other private perks and they're not all that great either, but they don't have a $50k donator rank either, so it's hard to compare.

My response in turquoise. Kinda got tired of writing halfway through.

My response in turquoise. Kinda got tired of writing halfway through.

honestly this all reads as you just dont want me personally to have these buffs because they'd almost be exclusive to me, when in reality there will be plenty of people with divine rank similarly to how people thought hardly anyone would have eternal and now tons of people have it. ive had a few people who've read this most recent reply reach out to me saying it sums up as "Every single time I argue with someone they pull out the “I don’t want variant to be able to” card"

I think you've lost touch with how much this rank actually costs, even with a 4:1 option, ask anyone in your family if you think putting $12.5k towards a fake version of a virtual game sounds reasonable to them. That alone warrants busted mechanics that I think i've avoided for the most part in my suggestion, comparatively to what other people have asked me to suggest.
