To whomever it may concern,

As it stands, Corporeal Beast drop rates are on par with Old School Runescape.

There is a 1 in 585 chance of hitting the sigil drop table. When players hit the table, there is a 1 in 7 chance of obtaining an Elysian Sigil, a 3 in 7 chance of a Spectral Sigil and a 3 in 7 chance of an Arcane Sigil. Since the update, Corporeal Beast has become dead content. Corporeal Beast was buffed and the drop-rates were made more difficult. Now, maybe my math is terrible, but TNG camped and killed well over 3,000 Corporeal Beasts post-update and received no sigil drops. This is unacceptable.

I do not wish to see a flood of Elysian Sigils come into the game, but I also don't want to spend my entire 3 days off, grinding 10 hours a day of Corp just to get a Holy Elixir or two. This is a very big problem. I understand that the item is prestigious BECAUSE of the fact that they are so hard to get, but you're turning the community away from the boss at all by making the drop-rates similar to OSRS. If people wanted to get an Elysian Sigil with Osrs rates, they would go buy a cheap spear and take void to OSRS and get one themselves for 600M Oldschool GP.

My suggestion is simple:

  • Lower the drop-rates a noticeable amount.

This is a private server, not Oldschool RS. There is currently 1 active Elysian Spirit Shield in the game and it belongs to I 074 I. Blank will never sell his and the other one is on an account of a former Alora player. Please Omicron,

Support, this is a private server, no one wants to grind weeks on end for a sigil - just like actual runescape. Not to mention it's only 1 corp beast in game lmao

How is it unacceptable to have bad rng? It's the core of pvming. This server boasts of being very similar to OSRS so it's vital that we have same drop rates as well. Also for the sake of consistency it should be kept the same.

It's obvious this suggestion was made as a result of bad rng, no support.

My friend, bad RNG is not the issue here. I am not salty about bad rng, I am salty because Corp keeps getting messed with and it's becoming worse and worse. The server has been out for well over 3 months and there is 1 active Elysian Spirit Shield in the game. Trust me man, bad rng is the least of my worries here:

I am looking out for the community, as well as my clan that has put in a disgusting amount of hours/kills for no rewards. It takes 2-3 inventories to solo corp right now and the drop rates are like OSRS. We take pride in being similar to OSRS, not the same. As stated above, if I wanted to grind for a sigil with standard drop rates, I would go get my void on OSRS and camp there instead.

In regards to @Fabyanski and @Gigabyte - all alora droprates are essentially "osrs droprate x 1.30" or right around there. As far as I'm aware, sigils are the exact same as osrs.

also, the larger issue is theres only 1 corp beast in game.. that slows down equality of osrs a lot

I 100% agree with you that making corp harder was a flop. A better way to tackle this might be adding a donor Corp - ::dcorp or something like that This would gradually result into an incremental increase in ely drops. Could also slightly increase accuracy/damage of stab weapons on corp to compensate for the recent update.

::dcorp would have to be placed somewhere else other than Corp Lair, unless it is instanced. Both of which break the entire point of the thread.

Support. I have another point to make on this subject. So Alora's corp has the same drop rate as the OSRS corp, you have to remember that OSRS has dozens of worlds and that means it has dozens of corps that can be killed at the same time. Alora only has 1 Corporeal Beast, compared to OSRS, sigil drops are MUCH MUCH more rare in Alora. This is simply because there are DOZENS of corps dropping sigils everyday in OSRS. A solution to this problem is definitely needed. I suggest either increase the drop rates of sigils or somehow place more than 1 Corp in Alora.

I support, even though there's 500+ online, and we want the keep the drops as rare as can be. It'd be nice to not spend weeks on a boss in hopes of a ridiculous drop rate on a rsps. Not saying make it 1/100, but make the boss something people actually want to do, not just dead content.

what about buffing the corp drop rate for a bit and adding a new corp with 10% more dr than the other one on the deep wild?

That could be a good solution. Only thing is Omicron seems like he doesnt want to change the drop rates at all. I think our best bet is adding multiple corps in different places or instancing Corp.

I personally prefer having high drops rates in servers since it actually allows people to be somewhat self-sufficient as compared to relying on the economy. I also really hate the idea of something being so rare that only one instance of it is actually known in the entire server.

But then again, that's just me. I'm used to playing servers and getting an sigil drop of some kind in 5 or 6 hours of grinding.

In my honest opinion the reason i think corp has become dead is not just because of the low drop rate also because of how hard it is to solo/duo. soloing corp takes about 3-4 invs a trip unlike how it used to take 2. and while duoing is a little faster still almost takes a full inv and some change unlike a half an inv or more this is just my opinion but when new players ask me about hows corp and hows soloing it  ive said its usually a pain in the ass because it is and to be honest it shouldnt be that hard specially being on a private server.

We will be revising the sigil drop rate again because it is currently not accurate, but it will be on par with other drop rates compared to osrs(OSRS rate*1.23) for the sake of consistency.
