baby troll like pet for xmas? :D

Yo guys,
So I was just sitting back enjoying some alora when a thought popped into my mind,
What if for xmas we can get a pet maybe a present that follows us or something similar,
That has the same effect as the baby troll from RS2.
For those that don't know the effect, Basically you can use any item on the pet and it renames itself to that item name(This can't be undone).
I think this would be good as an all round item sink, and could potentially remove some rare items from the game, and could help with the partyhat prices since there are wayyy too many atm.

My personal opinion on this suggestion would be a definite support as I love unique little things about servers and feel like although this is a OSRS server, it could definitely benefit from a few unique features that aren't in OSRS. I don't play OSRS anymore so I don't exactly know whats up and if there is something like that in-game. I'd love to see this implemented!

 

However, assuming that we're trying to stay as close to OSRS as possible, not sure on how the community would feel about this.

Yeah I was just thinking since the House pet is so loved, and is a custom would be cool to add another custom pet for xmas :D
Just spice things up abit ya know?

I love the overall idea of it, even if it isn't that exact pet. But even some sort of follower that is based around the holidays would be really neat!

Do you have any examples of what could be used? The construction pet is literally just a downsized NPC and im fairly sure the baby troll isn't exactly in-game if you're talking about the pet troll that you can feed items to change its name (Which isn't from rs3 btw reeeeeee)

I think this is a great idea! I remember the Christmas pet troll back in osrs and loved it.

Would definitely support this suggestion but imo this should only be available to get during the month of December.

Or be obtainable from some sort of Christmas event npc. If we're going to make it a seasonal pet, it should only be obtainable in that season.

Also here is another great idea to use as the pet. The Frost Spider.

Yeah that's why I suggested it abit early to give them time, didn't say it on my post, but yeah an event during December would be the best way :)
Also the spider is cool, but isn't there already a spider pet?

I love the idea of the Spider @Chase suggested, and the Shanty Claws that you suggested, along with the gnome child @Bloo2

 

Personally I think these would be the best/most fitting

not really unfair, just rare, like theres already other items discontinued from last month the jonas mask, and the birthday hat etc.
And I'm sure @Omicron could make it so their names show to other people if you've used an item on it.

Love the idea, gives incentives to get rid of some crazy expensive items which could be flooding or crashing the economy, but at the same time, players have fun doing it and feel like they gain something from it.

Nice idea, support for sure.
