Hello all,

I'm an Ultimate Ironman and have been thinking about getting donor for some time now. The issue is that on a main I would never be able to obtain the GP to purchase one, and on my Ironman, if I have the 90m for the bond then I can't give someone the money for it. On OSRS they allow players to right click an item and use it on other players during quests and some other situations. I would like to see Alora implement some system where ironman can use items on non-ironman accounts. I think this would benefit the community, as a whole, and not damper the ironman challenge at all. My goal for this is to be able to click my cash stack and give 90m to the person I want to buy a bond for my account. This would also benefit Alora because more bonds would be purchased to be sold to players. Please tell me your thoughts.

I like this idea but I personally think if this was too happen money should be the only thing allowed. No giving items and supplies etc etc.
I can see this helping a good amount of Ironman accounts including myself so will deffo support if the above condition is met. :)

You can still transfer money by dying to that account. Drop your UIM items beforehand.

You can do what @Savitr said.

or,

I suggest this;

How about there's an option while using the bond on a person to ask a set price (90m) to give it to them.

If the player has the price (90m) in their inventory they will get the option to accept/decline.

Bond prices consistently fluctuate and you could not set an accurate flat rate to allow for this.

Maybe let the player using the bond set the price himself to accommodate for the fluctuance.

I’m not going to support this, you can die in the wildy or there isn’t really anything else except de-iron, what’s probably not going to happen..

But I don’t think this would be a real smart thing to add in my opinion...

This is the only way I could support this, I think allowing ironmen access to the ability to trade/transfer items kind of defeats the purpose. As far as what Savitr said, I think he meant that the bond holder would be given an interface where they type in how much they want, similar to when setting a price to sell something in the trading post.

Edit:  I still can not stress this enough, it's one thing to have a swap thing for a quest thing, like the Shield of Arrav in OSRS, it's another thing for bond usage buying/selling goods. It absolutely defeats the purpose of being an Iron man.

I wouldn't say that this would defeat the purpose of being an Ironman because you are still doing everything on your own. Nobody can give you money or items, but you can give money to another player so you can obtain a bond.

What are some other negative externalities for implementing this?

Simply no need, due to what @Savitr stated it is simple and easy enough to transfer money via killing the Ironman account in the wilderness whilst skulled.

Therefore obtaining an item outside of the stipulations of Ironmen, if you were to donate, and you wanted the ability to GIVE a bond to a fellow Ironman, I'd support this. Besides that there are two economies in this server, the Classic, and the Regular, with this suggestion you are asking for Ironmen, who have no real economy due to their stipulations aside from what @Savitr already said, to be inserted into an economy, in the sense of bonds. Today it starts with bonds, tomorrow it's 'we want to be able to stake and gamble'.

This is pretty much the equivalent of why McDonald's started all day breakfast, McDonald's folded to the obese complaining that 'I became obese due to McDonalds' so then McDonalds started making salads. Then the stoners who couldn't get out of bed before 11am started on about, 'well you're giving them salads, it's 1pm and I want an Egg McMuffin, that's like food prejudice.'

(Brownie points to who ever knows the Comedian I stole that McDonald's thing from, he's on Netflix.)

I think there are already methods of how you can get this. As @Savitr & Sheep mentioned.

No support from me.
