$ Jae's ~ Almost Senseless ~ Comprehensive Guide to PvE Money Making $

 

 

Hello once again! Unfortunately, I won't be writing a " Smoother Series " Guide any time soon but I did want to get SOME KIND of guide out for everyone... and that is PvE Money Making. Yes, that excludes Gambling and PvP based methods. This solely caters to those that just purely resent risking, which is understandable. Not everyone can be lucky.

 

This guide will cover most ( If not all ) of the well known methods of money making in Alora, but they will be listed near the bottom since it's a common method. We don't want this to be another guide of the same thing now, would we? Before we get started, we need to make this perfectly clear...

 

** EVERYTHING REQUIRES TIME AND PATIENCE **

 

Yes, I know... boohoo! We have to spend time and effort to make money! Well, too bad. That's how it is everywhere! Deal with it.   If you understand this, continue below!

 

 

** THE METHODS **

 

* ~ Herblore: Super Combat Potions, Stamina Potions, 4 Dose Potions

Shocking isn't it? Super Combat Potions are fairly obvious since we have extremely lazy people that spins our economy. Without them, we wouldn't be trading these. Work on your Herblore, farm Torstol Seeds, and start making a profit.

 

Stamina Potions are just as simple and they're a good way to make a profit. Work on your agility, spend it on Amylase Crystals to create these potions for a good pile of gold.

 

If I haven't said it enough, we have lazy people... so lazy that they refuse to decant. Take any 3 dose potion and turn it into 4 and it easily becomes a slow purchase profit.

 

 

* ~ Smithing & Mining: Steel Bars, Adamant Bars, Rune Bars, Iron Ore, Coal, Gold Ore, Adamant Ore, Rune Ore

This takes a bit of time and investment to get to the right level of profit... mostly because it's probably the slowest skill to level. Work on your Mining and Smithing, sell your bars and ores for a profit. Gold Ores do sell so I recommend grabbing some along the way if nothing else. If you put time and effort into smelting your ores into bars, that's more profit for you. You can do Mithril as well since people purchase Mithril Darts, but I advise you on just going to the next best thing.

 

 

* ~ Fletching & Magic: Enchanted Arrows and More

This method also goes hand in hand with Smithing at some extent, but if you have some extra Adamant Bolts laying around from Smithing... you can take all of those extra rubies and diamonds to make some serious profit through huge bulks here. Turn the bolts into either Ruby or Diamond Bolts then take the time to enchant all of them. Put them on the market for a reasonable price.

 

Got too many Amulets of Fury in your bank? Don't have a Zenyte Shard yet? PLENTY of Onyx? Turn those Rune Bolts into Enchanted Onyx Bolts. Sell them for profit. I recommend making your own bolts for maximum profit, personally.

 

 

* ~ Farming: Torstol Seeds, Magic Seeds, Palm Tree Seeds

Personally, I do my best to not to sell ANY Tortsol Seeds since it's just better off turning them into Super Combat Potions. Totally up to you though, a profit is a profit. Magic Seeds and Palm Tree Seeds just cater to Farming XP, feel free to make a profit off of those as well.

 

 

* ~ Woodcutting: Logs & Planks

With a constant flow of new players and alternate accounts coming in, this is also a viable method of money making since this caters to Construction. Mahogany, Teak and Oak are going to be your key logs to profit off from when turning them into planks.

 

 

* ~ Hunting: Dragon & Lucky Implings for Dragon Ammunition and Other Rarities

Yes, Hunting can actually make you a decent amount of cash provided that you're either lucky or have the prerequisite skills. In fact, I just found a 3rd Age Cloak not too long ago! Lucky me right? Though if you're not that lucky, you can benefit off of the ammunition drops from the Dragon Implings since they're a reliable source for such things. Turn any tips into their corresponding ammunition and sell it.

 

 

* ~ Slayer: Imbuement Scrolls, Crystal Keys and Cannonballs

Do your tasks, get points, stay on a streak, sell your rewards... profit.   

 

 

* ~ Runecrafting: Pure Essence & Various Runes

Pure Essence will be tough to sell since this constantly gets undercut to hell and back. You can sell extra runes that you have laying around in your bank as well, just don't be THAT person who sells Soul Runes for 10k a pop when they go for about 500 in the shop.

 

* ~ Clue Scrolls: Hard & Elite

This is usually the last thing I do over anything else, mostly because it's too much travel for just a constant of flow of almost useless loot. However, with a decent amount of time and luck, you'll probably get something incredible out of it! Maybe a Samurai Outfit or more 3rd Age equipment to sell off.

 

** HIGHLY COMMON METHODS **

 

These methods are mentioned in almost every other guide, but I'll cover them anyways in further detail in case you care to know.

 

 

** EDGEVILLE SHOP STALLS

 

If you're a brand new player, this is probably your go-to lazy method for cash. Work on your thieving, steal from the Gem Stall, sell crushed gems to Ali Morrisane and make a profit of 8m per hour with proper activeness. Really simple.

 

 

** DRAGON HUNTING

 

Another basic way of money making through PvM. Items you'll be selling off of them will be their Dragon Bones & Dragonhides. Depending on what kind of dragon, you might profit off other things such as bars, dragon ammunition, and the rare Draconic Visage.

 

 

** ITEM HUNTING: Bossing, Barrows, General PvM Massacre.

 

Tired of general goods trading? Fingers getting tired of clicking the same stall over and over again? Then this is the method you'll end up doing MOST of the time. Kill various things for extremely valuable and rare loot then sell it off at the Trading Post. Alternatively, do Barrows. 

 

 

 

That pretty much concludes this guide, not a whole lot of complexity to it. If one method gets too dull, just switch over to another method. If all else fails, go play Doki Doki Literature Club or Dream Daddy. As always, feel free to add in anything I've missed through your feedback! It would be VERY appreciated~

You're technically right, but does it entirely matter? When we say PvE / PvM, we definitely refer to anything that is outside of the Wilderness or Gambling theoretically.

Thanks! Sorry for the absence~ I've decided to get Membership for Runescape to see what it's all about so that's why I've been absent. I still occasionally play on Alora, but not as much anymore. I'll try my best to write up more guides as time sees fit.
