When Chambers of Xerics were originally released on Alora the average time per raid per team after the first weeks was 16 minutes, now a days it has changed to around 26-30 minutes. The reason behind this is that teams take no urgency in completing the chamber and only focus on gathering supplies and points.

 

Around 1/4 of the team and personal points are gathered by afking and fishing before the Olm. The food fished is not even used for the actual boss fight and its purely caught for a better chance at a drop.

 

1. Fishing for your points should be removed or nerfed, I think this concept does not fit the great pvm challenge that is the Chambers of Xerics.

 

Furthermore I think we can make raids more competitive and make people try harder with adding a new concept of the time scoreboard. Currently the scoreboards works like this: any type of party who holds the quickest time gets the record. Strange is that only a few member of this party get their name of the board.

 

e.g. yesterday my tob team got the fastest time, but only 3 of the 5 members are put on the board, same goes for cox. See the scoreboard versus my personal times.

2. Add new scoreboards for all type of parties (solo,duo,trio,4man,7 man,14+ etc). Also add all involved players to this scoreboard. If all those new categories take to much space in the regular scoreboard move them to the cox and scoreboards who are currently not coded in game.

 

These are some suggestions ofl small suggestions which already have been made before on these forums.

- Drop worms in COX

- Deadclicks in TOB (especially on doors)

- Purple light for COX chest

 

 

3. Implement the small suggestions which have been made for cox/tob, these small quality of life suggestions would increase the fun and get people less triggerd.

 

Alot of people have fun and take pride in joining the pvm events hosted by our event team. Currently hunting items from certain bosses and raids/tob events are separate. I think by combinen these sometimes we could introduce alot of new players to raids and tob.

 

4. Combine PVM events and raids/tob events and bonusses. e.g. instead of first to get magic fang from zulrah gets 200m, you can make it first to get prayer scroll from cox gets 200m.

 

Thank for reading, I believe the above suggestion would do alot of good to cox/tob. Please let me know what you think and where your opinion is coming from.

As I said yesterday I would be nice to have the raid time have an influence on the drop rate aswell. So the faster the raid the more chance on loot. Makes it alot more enjoyable to actually speed run and capping for points doesnt really fall in the concept off a high end pvm challenge.

EDIT: Would also be nice to have a speed run event similair to the one hosted when ToB got released.

I think it's mostly people with high tier donor ranks that still do Raids since they have a much better chance of loot. There's no incentive for regular players to go when they have to complete way more Raids to get a drop.

I agree with the QoL suggestions being added and the fishing for points being nerfed. It's annoying, because I remember when no-one bothered to do it and most CoX raids would be finished in 20 minutes, but now since your reward is based on your points total compared to the average of what people got in the past, it means you have to do it to get a decent chance of loot.

I remember some of the speed runs we had back in the day, it made those Raids insanely fun. Searching for the right strategy to shave off a few seconds here and there to get the fastest time, everyone had to be on their game.

I'm not sure how it could be balanced, but fishing for 5+ minutes always just kills the pace of the raid, but since it greatly improves your drops everyone feels obligated to do it. It's boring and feels so out of place.

Support for all of these suggestions.

Speed running on Raids 1/2 would be a nice way to not only add some competitiveness, but also rewards players with a slightly higher chance to get better loot for getting a fast time. While I understand that fishing for points is sort of like a breather from completing the other rooms, it is a bit boring to do and it makes you take a longer time to complete CoX. The healing phase was removed on Xarpus at ToB, which is going in the right direction.

I 100% agree that something should be done about the points capping. That shouldn't be something that, at this point, is almost required to be done because it does in fact give you a better chance at a drop. As Eucalyptus said, it kills the entire pace of the raid, but you feel obligated to do it for the points benefit.

i strongly agree with #4 suggestion. I'd love to see Raids PVM drop for reward, and maybe even make the cash prize more than 200m. Hell, we've gone to like 500m for a damn squirrel. It'd also make Raids more active. I've spent upwards of 1.5 hours waiting for people to raid.
