Introducing The Fishing Skill
Fishing is the ability to catch a variety of fish with the tools you have available to you. It not only provides food that is vital for combat, but can also aid in the training of other skills, such as Cooking. All over Alora a variety of Fishing spots can be found, scattered across the oceans, rivers and lakes that dot the landscape. As your skill level continually advances, you will be able to use more methods to catch even bigger fish, ranging from shrimp and trout, all the way up to sharks and manta rays.
Fish are not found in every area of water around Alora. They are only found in localized fishing spots (shown as 
on the mini-map), where they tend to cluster in schools. Each Fishing spot will only have certain types of fish in them, so you must find the appropriate spot before you will be able to fish.
Fishing Equipment
Before you can catch any fish at all, you will need to make sure you have purchased the correct fishing equipment, specific to the type of fishing spot you wish to use. You can purchase Fishing equipment from Gerrant, who is located at ::Shops.
Small Fishing Net
Information: A small fishing net is used to catch fish, such as shrimps and monkfish.
Fishing Rod
Information: The fishing rod is used to catch fish, such as sardine and anglerfish. Requires Fishing Bait and Sandworms to be used.
Big Fishing Net
Information: The big fishing net is used to catch fish, such as raw mackerel and raw bass.
Fly Fishing Rod
Information: The fly fishing rod is used to catch fish, such as trout and salmon. Requires Feathers to be used.
Harpoon
Information: The harpoon is used to catch fish, such as swordfish and sharks.
Lobster Pot
Information: The lobster spot is used to catch fish, such as lobsters. Requires Dark Fishing Bait (for Dark Crabs).
Karambwan Vessel
Information: The karambwan vessel is used to catch karambwan.
Dragon Harpoon
Information: The dragon harpoon is a wield-able Fishing equipment. In order to wield it, you must have level 60 in Attack. It gives the user a 20% faster catch rate.
Fishes
Fishing Locations
While you may find Fishing spots scattered throughout Alora, certain locations are considered "Prime Fishing locations" and are usually frequented by players. This is due to a high concentration of Fishing spots in the area and also its proximity to a bank. It is recommended you utilize these locations while training.

Extra Features
Skill of The Day
Transmuting every day, the Skill of The Day grants an experience boost of 25% ecumenically in a designated skill. Check out Unknown's Bonus Skill Schedule guide Here.
Well of Goodwill
The Well Of Goodwill is an object in the game that, when filled, grants a global experience boost of 30% to everyone but those on the Classic and Hardcore/Elite/Group Iron Man game mode, which get half - 15%.
Vote Book
Obtained through voting, redeeming this book grants you 50% experience boost for an hour, if you have Two-Factor Authentication activated on the specific account.
Wilderness Bonus Experience
Players will be granted 1.5x experience for training skills above level 25 Wilderness. You must be in the Wilderness, above level 25, for two minutes for this to activate.
Fishing Skill Pet / Heron
The Heron is a skilling pet that can be obtained while training Fishing. The chances of getting it are dependent on the player's Fishing level, and the time it takes to accumulate a resource.
Donator Benefits
Donators have a 1/4 chance of receiving an extra fish - noted.
