Hi,

 

Server

 

I think the server it self is good and similar to OSRS. This server is the most polished one IMO. There's enough content and stuff to do on this server.

 

My suggestions for the server to be more polished:

 

- Fix all the Tzhaar weapons animations and the bonuses

 

People

The thing which find hard to deal with, are the people sometimes. You'll need to ask a question multiple times before it's noticed and sometimes, you get completely ignored.

Most of the people I've seen are very nice though.

 

Rules

Then you have the rules that are unclear IMO. There is litterally nothing listed about offences being carried over between accounts. It would be nice to add extra details to some of the rules.

 

Staff members

 

Most of the times when you ask a mod/admin questions, they respond nicely.

 

What I don't like, is how the staff members treat the players:

Asking a question through the appeal section on the forums is not appreciated at all and being treated as garbage without any sense of sympathy or empathy.

My last experience with the staff members, they on purpose added my IP to the blacklist of the Sucuri firewall. They denied that they were blocking my IP it, but I could tell they lied about it. There was no need to ban my IP, because I didn't do anything wrong. How I could tell, is that the site was accessible from my phone (which uses a different IP), it was accessible through the use of a VPN, any IP worked, except for my own IP. The Sucuri bug happens sometimes, it's a fact, but 2 times in a row? Come on... I'm not stupid to notice.

 

Blocking my IP, then I ask the staff members to unblock my IP, then I tell the staff members I can access the site again and then after, they block my IP again. Ya'll probably on a staff Discord chat where you guys cooperate in doing stuff like that. Treating someone utterly like garbage and then lie about it.

Let me explain to you guys. Even if someone broke the rules before, even if someone can a bit pushy. Even if you don't like that person at all. Staff members should always set an example. They should handle situations in a professional manner. That means being objective instead of subjective.

What happend, is kinda in my point of view, indirectly bullying someone you don't like and hope that person goes away.

This behaviour is no way how players should be treated. You're showing that you as person has no better value than the player.

Sadly I don't hold the power over this community, but If I had, I would have justified the sh*t out of it.

That said, I can't force you people to, but I advice you people to becareful on how you treat players and try to reconsider treating them with respect and decency. Being treated badly is something I don't tolerate.

 

Extra note: This post is mean't for the staff members who know what I'm talking about. The people who don't know, this post is not mean't for you.

I don’t know how many times we have to tell you that we did not purposely block your IP. It happens from time to time and can happen to anyone, including Staff Members. I’m writing this comment from my phone because I’m currently unable to access the website if I’m connected to WiFi.

In addition I’m not sure why you think the Staff Team is singling you out, I don’t believe we’ve interacted with you until today where you proceeded to spam our appeal section because you didn’t get the answer you wanted, even after we asked you not to. If you have issues our PMs are open, but I don’t think posting false accusations on the Feedback section was really necessary.

Maybe there is someone amidst the staff you're not aware of doing such thing? And spamming the appeal section is a lie. Sending 3 tickets regarding the same appeal, is not "spamming". I asked the staff to clarify the rules, but they harshly responded IMO. After they asked to stop, I stopped.

@Buildings There's not because it doesn't work as simply as listing someone's IP somewhere and they won't be able to access the forums. This was explained to you already.

Who gets blocked by the firewall and when they get blocked is 100% out of our hands at the moment. I'm sure Omicron will figure out a way to fix it soon, but it's not a high priority because it's always temporary and if you just wait and be patient, you'll be able to access the forums again.

 

It's random and more importantly temporary. This is also something Hellish already told you when you spoke with him if I'm not mistaken. I don't want this to drag out as this is a feedback topic so if any other members would like to chime in and share their opinions, they should be able to do that without it getting flooded out by us replying to one another 50 times.

 

The TLDR is if you have an issue with any form of punishment you can message a Mod+. If you have any other questions our PMs are open. But there is nothing we can do about the Sucuri Firewall blocking your IP temporarily.

@Buildings I was Succuri'd (the firewall) 8 times today doing forum work, it's completely random and just happens to everyone and everyone has to wait it out.

I guess for the rule thing it's like that because it's the player who commits the offence, why should they be able to go from account to account and only acquire a first offence every time, it makes no sense.

 

Not really here to debate but thanks for the feedback anyways and sorry about your negative experience (I hate being succuri'd aswell), if you need help feel free to private message me or any staff on forums (or discord if firewalled).

You're simply dismissing any information/assistance provided to you by any and all Staff members that have attempted to get through to you. It goes in one ear and and straight out the other. 

 

This is a reoccurring error that many users INCLUDING Staff run into on a daily basis, which in fact is a nuisance to deal with as you're well aware of, a large part of our job as Staff members is carried out via the Forums. The solutions are below, if you choose to ignore them or continue with the same victimized narrative that's on you.

 

  • Wait it out, can take several hours but EVENTUALLY it will fix itself.
  • If you're impatient simply use a VPN to access the forums until the issue resolves itself.

Lastly, if you were IP-banned you'd be technically evading right now which we'd have fully banned you for by now as per the rules. But as you can see, you're still alive and ticking and are more than welcome to log-into the client and play. We don't have time to "block" users from the Alora.io website out of spite, or for fun. Why? Because this team prides itself on being consistent, and professional and such actions would reflect otherwise.

You know that a firewall has a config, right? Every firewall has an blacklist to block IP's. So telling that it is out of your guys hands is a lie. Every IT specialist knows this. Before all this, I already knew that the firewall blocks IP's randomly.

Why I suspected that someone added my IP to the blacklist, is the coincidence and timing. Right after I appealed 3 times, right after I was yelling in chat "Yo admins, why are the staff members corrupt?" I was blocked by the firewall. I spoke with Hellish who explained me the rules regarding the 3 appeals I had made. After that, I wasn't able to access the site through my home internet. VPN's and my phone worked fine.

 

Then I told Salter what was happening and he told me it was a bug and Not Tauri also did. Then Not Tauri asked if I was able to access the site again. I replied "Yes" and the second after, I was locked out by the firewall again.

 

Then I posted an angry topic to the staff members and when I logged on in game again, I saw Not tauri responding with: "N, srry". IDK if it was a reply to the wrong chat, but it was suspicious. I noticed after that he added me to his ignore list.

Those screenshots are of Banks having this same issue and me recommending a temporary fix for them, this conversation took place 20 minutes ago. 

As I have said multiple times to you, the Staff Team is not treating you any differently, you're straight up dismissing all our FACTS & are wasting time.
