Hello Dads,

 

As you may have noticed, my time on Alora has come to an end (for now, atleast).

When I started playing the game, my mental health state was at an all time low. I was feeling lost, depressed.. I removed all of my friends from my life and it was as lonely as it gets.

This game allowed me to rebuild myself. My confidence, my smile, everything that's positive was coming back as I played it and enjoyed every single day of it. I met some of the most incredible human beings here, and just because I am no longer a staff member does not mean we need to stop talking.

 

There is no tinfoil bullshit reason as to why I am leaving, I am not upset with anyone but myself. I am at one of my lowest points when it comes to my mental health state, and I need to find myself again. I need to try new things, entertain myself and find my smile once again so that I can be the KP that fights every single day to put a smile on someone's face, even if it is online. As it stands right now, I am not able to do this every single week. That is why you see me trying new games and new activities IRL and online.

 

I am not making this post for anyone to feel sorry for me, I am just here to say that these 2 years have been incredible. Alora and the people I've met here saved my life, and I don't want to lose any of you because of this.

 

I made a post about mental health issues such as depression and anxiety disorders a few months ago (not linking it because I don't want people to think I want any form of attention, thats not what this post is about, or the one I am mentioning ), and that didn't change at all. I am still here for you guys, and hopefully you will be with me for the ride.

First things first, I want to say thank you for everything you've done for Alora since you started. I still remember the same day you joined the team, I banned you on discord.

 

I have a good feeling that you will be back to normal soon and we will all be waiting for that message saying "I'm ready to come back". Until then we all do respect your decision and we all wish you the best and want you to get better. We've been friends for a very long time and I know for a fact this won't be the last time we see you around Alora (you better make it to the next irl meetup).

 

Take your time brother and I expect a full recovery for you and nothing less. Take care buddy.

KP, you and I never really talked much, but I do appreciate the hard work, positive vibes, and all of the countless hours that you dedicated to the server.  I'm sure that you'll be back eventually, but you're doing the right thing by stepping down and taking a break from this.  If you wanna talk about something just hmu because I've been through similar situations, many, many times.  Stay strong, Dad and we hope to see you soon.

Sad to see you leave alora but you will always stay my homie no matter what. Sometime you have to take decisions that are not easy/fun but they are the best options. as someone that suffers from depression/anxiety irl i relate to this. Man i’ve only been back on here a few weeks but you have always been uplifting and helpful and just a joy to be around on Alora. Legit i wish you the best and many good days ahead :) don’t worry be happy!

I did not get to know you all that well, but from someone who lives with depression every day, best thing to do is take some time for yourself :) I look forward to seeing you again at a later time and get to know you better.
