I have noticed that inside the rsps community people are introducing mobile clients Into their games. Would it be possible for alora to follow in their footsteps? It seems with some android coding knowledge its easier than it looks to change the os mobiles host ip address..

I have played one. I will not mention details. But its defintely viable.

I reckon it could attract alot more players.. Also the players online will be higher in general due to people playing away from their desktops.

Been suggested many times.

 

There's some issues with implementing it though like only being available on Android or interfering with our precious HD :kek:

 

Obvious support if Omi can find his way around those obstacles.

I Do Support however.

This has been suggested time and time again.
    Most I can say with my experience is "wait and see" 2020 can bring lots of new things.

     My time here in 2018, Alora mobile was still being bugged and suggested almost daily, and it is still yet to come. Now with new knowledge and programs who knows what could come.
Omicron is an amazing developer and if other server owners can do it, so can he! There are probably many reason's why is it NOT here.
#1 being security.

Yes I understand the problems it could possibly cause. Especially with HD. However. Playing in LD on mobile would be a small price to pay for no exp waste.. Am I right? And the security thing also. I get that. It could cause problems with it being brand new. Hopefully someone with some android coding knowledge could shed some light.

Basically what @ Foundational said. I Support this regardless, but there are many complications and I really don't know if the risks outweigh the man power/time/effort needed to make this run smoothly at this current moment.

Would be amazing to see Alora Mobile, but no one will ever know if it can or cannot happen except Omicron really. Would be nice to see what he says about a mobile version.

I support it fully because being able to play on mobile would be amazing, but I don't know what resources are required or how feasible it is

I support this but I don’t know how it would be implemented. I think the cons would outweigh the pros on this one though brother.

As what others have said, Alora mobile has been suggested multiple times. If Omicron can figure out a way to implement it with little to no issues, that that would be great. However, I can imagine there are other priorities that need to be implemented in terms of updates before thinking about working on Alora mobile.

Just because its not supported by apple doesn't mean we shouldn't bring it out. You should just choose the superior phone.. Also I know alot of people and have seen it on another mobile server. Player bases double. Donations sky rocket. Not only will it add players but people who play osrs on pc will happily play a mobile rsps whilst grinding. Instead of assuming. Do some research. Don't just say no support cause you have an iPhone.

The irony about making assumptions. I'm an Android user who has played on Mobile on some of those other servers. If you think that mobile was THE reason for the increase in player base for that specific server, and actually saw how few players used it on release, then I have no words for you.

 

I would love to play Alora on Mobile, don't get me wrong. But it would take significant dev time that would probably be better spent on fixing existent content (PVP, raids, skilling content, etc.) that could benefit ALL potential players. Which is what I said in my original reply. It's good to hear other opinions on this topic, though.
