What is your suggestion?:

Item sink idea: When donating items to the well of good will, make it give 1.5x-1.8x the worth of that item towards the total donated. If buying a bandos tassets cost me 20m, but when donated it'd contribute 35m to the well, I'd buy them all day to chuck them in vs having to give 50m gp cash each time or extra items I had laying around in the bank.

Is this in OSRS?: No

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not that I've seen

How would this benefit Alora?:

It would make it more beneficial for the players who do donate to purchase a variety of items from the tp that we plan to only chuck in the well. The best bang for our buck, and will hopefully help with item sink.

Care to explain how me buying items from the tp to chuck into the well would crash an eco?

first of all, if you dont know how economy works, if you buy a ton of the same item, the price will skyrocket, ultimately wont even be buyable, second, items dumped into well dont work based on tp's price but the coded value of the item, so your shit doesnt work since some items are valued at 1gp when they're worth 300m

idk if you assumed I just wanted this to work for bandos tassets, but it wouldn't be based off just that 1 item.

Secondly the simple work around is making the well get the price off the avg tp price just like how when you list an item it gives you an avg price from the beginning. Also the items in the eco won't just dry up, it'll give players incentives to boss for those items if the price goes high enough, because right now doing bandos for an hour to get a 15m drop doesn't seem worth it when bis gear is in the bills.

What happen when I have only one offer in TP for specific item, and overprice him?
Like one bronze dagger can be worth 50M for well?

The same thing that happens now with tp, when you pick to list that item, just because someone has theirs listed at 2b doesn't mean it'll suggest you to list it at 2b, it already has a set avg price for that item.

There are numerous items that already do this, and even these items are still barely staying the same price or decreasing. Better solution is to increase the price of the well. No support.

The same thing that happens now with tp, when you pick to list that item, just because someone has theirs listed at 2b doesn't mean it'll suggest you to list it at 2b, it already has a set avg price for that item.

Right but this contradicts what you mentioned about using average tp price. Currently each item is set a price that Omi set it to, this is what also suggests what to price it at when you put it on the tp, which is what also determines how much it will fill up the well. You're talking about replacing this method with and average tp price method, which would mean it would also recommend the tp price as the average tp price, which would run into the issue of someone putting bandos tassets up for 2b and making a 15m item worth 1b.

The reason it works in OSRS is because you have hundreds-thousands of items listed, so the average tp price is more accurate vs having 5 of an item.

This doesn’t add any real benefit to Alora.

50m well input isn’t really that much considering the amount of go floating around.
Especially considering we already have a bulk amount of items that are fairly cheap and offer a heap in the well (ie Prayer Scrolls that get dropped every hour)

I would support this if it was a smaller increase, like 5-10%. But a lot of items are already valued higher/lower so that would need to be corrected first.

No support on this, the economy in Alora is much different compared to OSRS so it won't work the same way.
