I'd lean most towards what Moron said, you can pretty much faceroll a HM TOB at the moment without much thought or much additional mechanics from normal mode.

It's also weird trying to explain the differences to someone that has done HM TOB on OSRS, it would help us be closer mechanic wise while not making the raid much more difficult.

Hard mode barely has a better DR & mainly just provides a cosmetic kit, I don't see it being a game breaking addition to add these in support.

Your comment just hurts my brain so much it is hard to come up with a response.

Do u just want everyone to point at u and say you are a good player?

Is that it ?

"you can pretty much faceroll a HM TOB at the moment without much thought"

good for you,

most players cant even to normal mode.

God forbid something called hard mode is, wait for it, hard to do.

If these small changes would be too much for you, maybe just stick to normal mode?

If your brain gets hurt by a small comment on forums I can see why it would be troubling to add more mechanics though.

your proving most peoples point. this is a private server and should inherently be far more accessible to the average player than osrs. you are a top player and therefore naturally find content easier than most, great. the content absolutely should not be altered to cater for the top players. again, if you find it too easy, play osrs.

And it still would be more accessible to the average player, there are dozens of other missing mechanics that aren't in Alora like Mack mentioned, you don't even have to pay a death fee when you wipe so you only loose supplies that you used and time when you're trying to learn.

The content shouldn't be so watered down and bastardized that you can faceroll the 'hard' mode variant of the raid.

The changes we're talking about aren't even that deep and wouldn't add much difficulty, you'd have to work with your raid group to get through them though so it does require more thought and effort than what currently exists.

If you read Moron's comment that I originally quoted and think those are too much for you and a group of players to get through in the hard mode version of an endgame raid, maybe hard variants of bosses are something you shouldn't do until you feel you have enough game knowledge and experience to do them.

now u are getting it

now try to imagine , most players are like me

the server is for people not for the 1% to stroke their shit.

it hurt my brain cuz it was so beyond stupid it just stunned me for a moment.

but u clearly didnt even bother to read through a small comment

as i said most people cant even do normal mode so wheres the logic making hard mode harder if most population cant even do normal.

and just so people who are not aware

the only reason that they want this update is to sell the noobier players tob completions and such.

If they would care even a little then tob wouldn't be in the first of line

before u start talking about change start off with cox

trynna make tob harder clearly means that u trynna make money off ppl not that u care about tob itself or state of the server.

Skimmed, didn't read all the comments, No attack ty

Alot of arguments about TOB not being accessible to new players

  • Suggestion is about Hard Mode mechanics

I see no issue with updating the mechanics in "Hard mode" TOB to help differentiate the raid in difficulty. This has nothing about "go play osrs if you want harder content" tob is still going to be available to the new player or existing players in the mode of "Normal TOB" this is just a update to the mechanics. Just makes things like dust/kits a little more prestigious just like blorva and other things, you can still get gear/weapons from normal tob or  just do the content period. Yeah big woop new mechanics might add time to the challenge of the raid, over the years tob has gotten updates/changes that have made it progressively more fun to do. New doesnt mean bad, not having a open mind to change is bad.

Lets not forget the only mechanical differences we have in Hardmode over Normal is:

  • maiden blood paths dont despawn
  • bloat falling hands constant
  • Nylo boss ? - wrong attack style on minis more punishing
  • Sote - double ball / solo top maze
  • Xarpus less space during phase 2 (final phase still needs updating as its far too easy just moving 2 tiles per screech)
  • Verzik (in a good spot imo)

Support

  • Maiden update
  • Nylo boss update (nylo mini spawn waves / mini boss during main boss)

No Support

  • Verzik HP boost

I support the maiden and nylo changes, but I'm against the final stand verzik mechanic.

Makes sense that the "hard" version of the raid has harder mechanics.
