What is your suggestion?:

It's time we REMOVE the cosmetic version of the combat achievement helmets.

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

I don't think it's exaggerated when I say the combat achievement helmets are THE MOST prestigious helmets in the game, accomplishing grandmaster is the most skill based accomplishment a player can do on Alora, and to have it deminished by some fashionscaper wearing the GM helmet with 0 skill just ruins the accomplishment.

 

I understand that the Grandmaster Completionist cape is supposed to be our trade off, but that doesn't translate as easily as the zuk slayer helm, nor is it in OSRS, so a lot of players don't even know the difference in comp capes.

 

This may cause a slight hickup in peoples wallets, and what can be done is refund any current cosmetic slayer helm owner their slayer helm + shop token cost of the cosmetic variant. I would assume within a weeks time it won't even be a noticible change, it's and issue of ripping the bandaid off now to get it over with.

 

I don't think we need to trace back who donated for the tokens to buy the helmets, just refund tokens to current owners since that's who currently holds the value of those helmets.

 

Edit: Omicron has said multiple times, if a suggestion gets enough support it would be implemented if that's what the player base wants.

yes because buying a ferrari is equivalent to completing all combat achievements on here? like it feels like you're trying to flame bait me with these idiotic comments, at least give me a valid argument, not whatever this is

I absolutely agree. Items that are significant accomplishments should not be sold on store or custom donations.

Big support! Feels weird to see people with Zuk helm and then u check kc's and it's flooded with 0's in end game content, takes away a lot of the prestige of helm. Great suggestion!

Takes away the achievement of the ACTUAL - Grandmaster players.

Why grind when you can just pay for it?

I support it. I think some things shouldn't be purchasable or have a cosmetic version, takes away from some accomplishments. I knows its an RSPS but still there should be some type of limit IMO.

As long as the tokens/bonds i used get fully refunded i would have no issues.(No a replacement item is not something i would be interested/happy with) Would actually benefit me and push me towards completing the actual GM tasks set in place to achieve the helm.

I have this cosmetic Zuk helmet but I still support this as long as I can get the value of it refunded in store tokens. It would make me more likely to chase grandmaster if there was more prestige to obtain rather than have a helmet I could have easily bought in the store as a level 3. 100% support

I fully support of this suggestion. I don't think accomplishment items should be obtained through the store because it takes away their meaning and prestige... however I agree that people who have bought it before from the store should have it's cost refunded in tokens.

I'm not sure what kind of sick person votes no to refunding those who have it removed!

 

Surprisingly I agree with removing it from the store, I saved tokens and got it on my UIM and stopped using it quite quickly, due to feeling like I was cheating.

Full support, as long as the full token amount is returned to anyone who bought it, at any time.

Makes no sense its buyable in the store. I personally would also argue the same for Quiver and Infernal but thats just me.

Also, anyone who has one regardless of if they donated for it or bought from another player with GP should be reimbursed. 

 

(don't just check who bought off ;;store and refund them tokens, just check who has the ingame item on their account, remove it, and give them tokens.) 

 

3rd: give more tokens than its worth in the store currently as a positive takeaway as it feels really bad to take things away from people as they might not have donated in the first place if it wasnt available.
