the xp rates at this point have zero value unless you fix the issue that made me stop back in the day which is the ranks are based off account creation not who actually finished in order.
using the concept above for this specific post, how i interpreted it just throwing random numbers out for the case of my example. if we were to say release a x2 and x5 mode for say regular mainscape. you might aswell delete realism and classic mode, cause thats such a rude finger to those whove done their time in their space with their account limitations. theres abit more leeway for having a modes xp rates be the same as x8 mainscape but also have a x8 hcim, due to the completely different operation standards within the mode. so theres somewhat of a balance. so just know whatever you do now will dilute any future reason to impletement fresh and exciting modes unless they offer some obscure way of playing which now weve basically hit all aspects.
keep in mind the psychological side of doing the time in a mode thats got the reputation of its weakest point. no one cares if youve done mainscape on x10 xp rates when theres a x15 existing. youll get the same stick treatment in the end. people play realism as a way to distinguish themselves from the peasantry from mainscape repuation has. same as those who play classic and gim. the xp rank itself is just a bonus in regards to commitment
in reality youll have an individual playing regular ironman mode on the lowest xp rate multiplier available and being proud of the level of dedication required.. just to socially get batched with the x40&x15 xp rate ones cause regular ironman is regular ironman.. no difference.. now that individual isnt as enthusiastic and proud of their account and is probs overthinking about deironing
