Honestly I'd be happy if they were tools! For real, I lose hammers all the time and I never know how.

This suggestion is a good one, I could see it replacing (or being added to) our current lineup.

It is just nice thinking about not finding a rogue frog mask in my bank every weekend, thanks for the input!

I support these changes.

For one, I see no downside to any of the three, and they all make the game a bit more optimized for playing.

While I can't say any of these have particularly affected my gameplay, I'm willing to bet more players than not will enjoy these updates coming into the game.

Hondenei , I think you've really nailed this idea down. For that, I want to thank you for the time you spent in and out of the game learning what some properties are and perhaps what the could be. I would love to  see some changes that would cater to a highly populated ironman gamemode that Alora has. While tweaking some timers, some locations, we could find a sweetspot for the population at hand.

 

Snape GrassThis change would be beneficial, yet wouldn't make the mission of collecting overly easy. I enjoyed your comparisons to osrs, however the timings may vary (i.e 1 world populus, world hopping for it isn't available)

 

Wines of ZamorakA noted drop in a room with respawning bosses makes sense. While I agree this will help ironmen collect, we also have the think about the state of Kril himself. Its very easy to come and go, or stay as long as you want. To change this current state of dropped resources, we'd have to look further into how much gets collected per interval of time.

 

Crushed Nests (via mole skins) Without a doubt yes. As Mole is a hard task (meaning maxed out slayer trainers will likely not be visiting too often) Mole is left as dead content. I have personally gathered more woodcutting in the time it takes for each method. A transfer rate change would be amazing to Ironmen who want to make Saradomin brews for Raids, Inferno, etc.

 

 

 

These are three areas I wanted to dive a little deeper into. I would love to see how this impacts the game, as these resources are currently gathered almost as fast as they spawn.

There is currently a community issue being handled in OSRS involved bug abuse aka "safespotting" 

 

In Alora we handle this issue by asking players to stop effectively bug abusing. I don't see why this issue shouldn't be handled in such a manner.

I really like this idea. @Chase you always do a great job presenting information.

Adding this to the game would improve the media outside of the game for a multitude of reasons. Events? Drops? Reports? It supports them all for our players. Therefore I support!

I really like the donor zone. I visit it a lot to take advantage of the resources and rejuvenation pool there. I would consider making a spell available to click, teleporting players to the donor zone, opposed to writing in the command.

 

As it stands, the donor zone is only accessible through ;;dz command.fmf6sYS.png

 

If we were to replace, say the Kourend Teleport (that currently serves no purpose) with a donor zone teleport, it would be easy for people to:

1. Learn how to get to the zone

2. Speed up the process for getting there slightly. This adds up over time.

 

This is a small QoL update that would help new and old players alike.

Updates and some research on PvP would be heavily appreciated by many people I've talked with. J, we've discussed some good things and some bad things that Alora PvP has.
Pros: Large number of players for events.
Bounty hunter is enabled and emblem upgrading is profitable
Most styles work well at the moment.

Cons: Alora is highly commended for PvM, most of the playerbase participates there. (Simply a con for the thread, not a bad thing overall)
NH swaps have unequal tick timing compared to PARA.
There are large regions of inactivity in edge wildy, and in some ways, promotes afking there to find fights.
Lastly, server lag lately has botched fights here and there, which hopefully shouldn't exist long.

Structuring the economy is a long term goal. Fitting it to cut losses/raise incentive would increase the liklelihood of more people trying pking.

I like your ideas, thank you for pointing them out. This post is my opinion on the state of PvP as it is. If anything, I dare you all reading this to bring up ideas of how you think us Staff should improve this aspect of the server. It may not be taken in to development, but the more we bring it up, the more support ideas will gain.


Tl;Dr. I think there are good and bad things about PvP here. Please show support for ideas, It's the only way our development team knows what you want us to work on. We want you to have fun on Alora.

I'm not expert in coding, so the possibility might not be there. I looked up OSRS characteristics on Bloodhounds, to find this feature is not available on them. Ring of Wealth (i), however, is an item that will increase dropped clue scrolls in combat. I did come up with some variants though, let me know how they sound.

 

 

Fishing pet: Heron - "When following the player, the likelihood of finding a clue bottle while fishing will increase by (Initial base chance) - (Fishing level - 25) 

 

Woodcutting pet: Beaver "When following the player, the likelihood of finding a clue nest while woodcutting will increase by (Initial base chance) - (Woodcutting level - 25) 

 

These features are earned in-game without the need to donate, but also offer profitable means of going for skills, in conjunction with killing for clues. Maybe a more versatile method of collecting scrolls will help players with grinding them out.

 

P.S. Equations listed here are taken straight from OSRS Pet drop rates, and will need to be tweaked to accomodate the higher base chance.
