Ban gambling from Alora.io
In the context of Alora RSPS (a RuneScape Private Server), the discussion around banning or heavily regulating gambling usually stems from its negative impact on the game's economy and community health.
While Alora has previously automated gambling to prevent scams, many players still advocate for its removal or further restriction for the following reasons:
1. Damage to the In-Game Economy
Gambling often creates an unstable economy. Instead of gold moving through productive activities like Skilling, PvM (Player vs. Monster), or the Trading Post, it gets concentrated in the hands of a few "lucky" players or bots. This leads to:
Hyper-inflation: Large amounts of gold circulating without a proper "sink" can devalue the currency.
Reduced Engagement: If players can make (or lose) 100x more gold in 30 seconds of gambling than in 10 hours of bossing, they lose the motivation to play the actual game content.
2. Connection to Real World Trading (RWT)
In the RSPS world, gambling is the primary gateway to Real World Trading. Players who lose their entire bankroll often resort to buying gold with real money to get back into the game, while winners often try to "cash out" their winnings for real-world profit. This puts the server at risk of legal issues and creates a toxic, profit-driven environment rather than a gaming community.
3. Scams and Trust Issues
Before Alora implemented automated systems (like the Gamble Zone), gambling relied on "hosts."
Host Scams: Hosts would often "log out" or refuse to pay if a player won a massive bet.
Rigged Games: Even with automated systems, there are often suspicions of "PID" (Player ID) advantages or bugs that favor certain players.
Luring: Gambling often attracts "lurers" who use the promise of big wins to trick players into dangerous areas or trade scams.
4. Player Retention and Toxicity
Gambling is a "zero-sum game" that often leads to "staking depression."
"Cleaning" Accounts: When a player loses everything (gets "cleaned"), they are highly likely to quit the server permanently rather than rebuild.
Toxic Chat: Gambling hubs are notorious for being the most toxic areas of any server, filled with beggars, flamers, and bots.
Current Status on Alora
Alora hasn't "banned" gambling entirely but has strictly regulated it. In 2022, they performed a major overhaul to:
Remove Player Hosts: All gambling is now done through an automated system (Flower Poker, Dice Games, Blackjack) to eliminate middleman scams.
Track Stats: Your wins and losses are now tracked by NPCs to provide transparency.
Dedicated Zone: Gambling is restricted to specific areas to keep it away from players who want to avoid it.

Dharok note for sets by Trading Post
31 December 2025 - 07:36 PM
What is your suggestion?:
Making it possible to get Dharok set(s) by them noted.
Is this in OSRS?:
Not sure
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
Not sure
How would this benefit Alora?:
Would be way faster to get those dharok armour from note to get them into set, instead of clicking 1 by 1 and by doing over 1 inv for 15 sets. Could apply for any barrows set tbf.

Removing imbuement scroll from ring(s)
26 December 2025 - 10:03 PM
What is your suggestion?:
Making that any imbued ring (e.g. berserker, archer's, seers) can have the imbuement removed from it without losing the scroll.
Is this in OSRS?:
Yes
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
Not sure
How would this benefit Alora?:
We would be able to use in any other kind of ring we want if needed. (Very useful and cool for ironmen).

You can imbue rings with pkp points. These rings from this pkp system would keep as it is actually, so would not affect the game in other ways.
