As for nerfing black d'hide, I dont think this is a priority unless OSRS has already followed through with their black d'hide nerf.  On Alora, many ironmen rely on black d'hide to tank normies in max gear.  If we nerf black d'hide, it may be detrimental to ironmen.

 

I fail to see how this matters? The game should not be built around what makes ironmen's life easier. Black d'hide is 30k gear and you should not be able to out tank someone that is wearing best in slot mage gear and risking 1000x you. Saying "it would be detrimental to ironmen" should mean nothing at all. If you choose to play ironman, there are some disadvantage you might have to run into.

I tend to not make much noise in the community, (a lot of you probably have probably never heard of me before lol)
But for this once I'd like to just thank everyone (especially Omicron & the staff team throughout the ages) for creating and maintaining such a wonderful community
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time on Alora for the past almost 5 years, and I hope to see it around for more years to come :)

As I promised in the last post, if I hit 50 subscribers within 24h I'd bash out another episode today. We got from 44-49 within a few hours of the video being released and since the post received immense support I decided to bang this one out for you guys even though we were off our goal by 1. The series is still approximately 5 days behind my actual progress, so I'll try my best to get at least one more episode out over the weekend so the series can be more or less in sync with my actual progress. Anywho, enjoy the episode

How would this benefit Alora?: More stuff to hunt after!.

The server doesn't need to be restarted once a day. At most it needs a restart once every 3-4 weeks, although that's generally not even the case. I know it's easy for misinformation to spread, since once a few people mention the server needs a reboot I hear it mentioned constantly, but rest assured that's not the case most of the time. At the moment, the server is processing each game tick within the normal range, so any lag being experience is not from the server being up for too long, at least not this case.

I'm hesitant about this, since it's a bit too private-server-like. I understand that we are a private server, but we generally try to keep the content clean and similar to OSRS with a few minor tweaks, and I think random castle wars portals at the duel arena would look a bit out of place. I'd be open to a cleaner looking solution if the implementation is relatively obvious to players, but still looks like it fits into the theme of the duel arena.
