Playing any game with high ping is challenging. Being at least 300ms ping from the server, everything requires you to input things way before it actually happens. My goals on this account are slightly different from the rest of the posts in this thread, I take pride in kills more than drops.
 
The goals I am setting will be split into three difficulties, it may seem weird that some are in a certain difficulty, but it is true that some of the content are much harder if you have to predict anything that will happen in the next second rather than looking at it.

The current chance and amount in getting secondary supplies from barrows is in pretty good spot in my opinion. The barrows are mainly done by lower level accounts for obtaining the gear for bossing and supplies from there is just a sweet boost for them On the other hand, the higher level accounts, who would do barrows for getting all the items in their bank might end up with way too big of secondaries amount just by doing barrows. With that being said, I do not support this suggestion, because secondaries for Barrows is just a QoL thing, not something that every player should grind in case they're in need of the supplies.

Support, I don't think this requires huge amount of work to dev and looks better than a mob on my back.

Been holding some clue caskets for the release of the new items, this was all opened during boosted clue rewards event.

 

This is only the first batch of clues I still have some more to go.

 

 

Had a fresh account to try and somewhat organize the loot and make it look nice. The ornament kits are Fury, Obby maul, Dragon sq, and Sara rune scim.

 

 

 

Got the 3a kite about 20 hard caskets in was a nice surprise!

 

This was around 80% of the supplies given, couple caskets in thought ironmen would like to see how much loot they could expect if they opened their caskets.

 

The seeds are in order of Kwuarm, Ranarr, Snapdragon, Torstols.

Hotfixes [23/4/19]:

• The 5 minute timer on Rejuvenation pools will now only apply to players who are skulled (as they are more likely to have been rushing others in the Wilderness).
• Commands fixed for moderators.
• Fixed an issue in Theatre of Blood where the chosen player in the Sotetseg phase would get sent to Edgeville instead of the Shadow realm. This should no longer occur.

The Easter Event is now live! Hop into Alora and you’ll find the Easter Bunny looking for help with distributing Easter eggs this year.

 

Today's update is primarily for the Easter Event and thus is not as large as the usual update, but we've included a few bug fixes as well which are listed below.

 

Lastly, there is also an Easter sale going on at the moment with 25% bonus tokens, and the Easter box item which is the only way to obtain the Bunny outfit. Make sure to take advantage of the sale while it lasts!

  • The GIM Team Highscores was only showing 23 rather than 30 groups, and you could not check any pages after the first page.
    • It will now list a full 30 teams, and you can go further than the first page.

 

• Easter Event 2019:
  • Speak to the Easter Bunny in Edgeville and you'll be teleported to an area slightly north of Falador where the Easter Bunny is working on this year's Easter festivities.
    • You'll need to run some errands around Alora to help the Easter Bunny with this year's event but you'll be given a couple of cool rewards for doing so!

    • Restoration pools update:
      • To prevent players from consistently being able to regenerate their special attack energy every 3 minutes, we've increased this timer to 5 minutes ONLY for special attack energy. For example, the rejuvenation pool at home can be used every 3 minutes, but if you use it before 5 minutes have passed, you will only have your run/HP/etc restored, everything except special attack.
    • Nerfing other special energy restoration methods:
      • Leaving the Fight caves / Inferno / LMS / other mini-games will no longer restore special attack energy. Dying in the mini-game, of course, will still regenerate special attack energy. Additionally, entering certain mini-games such as LMS will still restore your health and cure poison.

Has been a good month playing but honestly can't be bothered with the staff team on this game anymore. I get muted for the dumbest of reasons and now i'm perm ip muted and can't be assed playing when i can't even find a raids team because i can't talk at all. Thanks to all of those who were good mates of mine on the server but i literally can not be bothered with this. It's like the rules are set to cater to 10 year olds and not 17+ year olds which is mostly what this game consists of. No more of the complaining but this is my progress before i quit.

Hey, I hope whoever is reading this is having a good day.

 

Some people have noticed that I no longer am a yellow-boi and wanted to just vocalize what happened.

 

Our staff team whether or not you agree with what they do or how they run things is doing incredibly fantastic right now, such a well-knit unit of community-loving people it's actually crazy. Not a lot of people give our team the credit they deserve for the thankless volunteer work that they put literally so many hours into each week whether it is in-game, on the forums, or even just in personal messages with other people, or hosting events etcetera.

 

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the current and late staff members we have/had on our team, you guys rock.

 

Anyways, I've felt like deadweight for a bit and have also been dealing with some personal issues for the last little while. Alora consumes me because I not only love the game but I love the community so much. I have been logging on and it feels like I'm just trying to make sure I have a presence on the server rather than just enjoying the game as I did in my first 6 months to a year as staff. I didn't want to resign but I felt like it was in my best interest, at least for right now. It's crazy what a 'video game' can do to you. I've made so many friends and had so many laughs and good memories that have stemmed from just hopping on an RSPS. Alora's community is unbeatable and I want to thank everyone for playing and enjoying the game.

 

I could give dozens of individual shoutouts but figured I'd just keep it at two, wanted to thank @Omicron for creating this game that has brought me so many good memories and helped me to meet so many amazing people. Keep doing what you do. Also, I can't thank you @Lowkey enough. When I was Server Support you just got promoted to CM and have been doing an outstanding job ever since. You were probably one of my first friends on the team and I don't see that ever going away. Thanks for giving me the opportunities you did and being such a loving and amazing person.

RULES:

1). Only allowed to train ONE skill at a time. 

2). Combat skills also must be trained separately ie. Not allowed to gain hitpoint LEVELS while training strength.

3). Post 99 training is allowed - Some skills I won't be able to solely focus on due to normal OSRS content missing. So an example of this would be that I must achieve 99 hp before I begin training Att/Str/Def as I'll be gaining hp xp while training combat stats.

 

4). Ironman Account only.

So the time has finally come, after achieving 99 Attack at barrows ( Not a single damn ahrims piece after 80+ chests at 15k random set...) then taking advantage of the BXP and smashing out hunter and construction, I can finally move to slayer and the last skill!
It's been more of a time consuming journey than difficult, but im glad that its coming to a close and i can actually play the game! haha.

Over the past several months, I have noticed a fair increase in graphic designers and video creators joining Alora's community. It has been great to see, and I am hoping to see more join Alora's community throughout 2019.

 

I feel it's a great time for the staff team to begin hosting enjoyable activities with them, with rewards up for grabs. It takes a lot of hard work and effort into creating videos, and some community members are consistently putting out videos for Alora. I feel they deserve more credibility, as at the end of the day, it's advertising and is helping Alora's growth. 

 

The first couple of months could be a trial run, and if they don't go as to plan and aren't successful, then the activities could always be put to a stop, but hopefully they'll work out and be successful. 

 

 

SOTM (Signature of The Month) - A member of staff would create a Signature of The Month submission thread, which will include details, such as - the rewards, submission end date, theme, etc. Graphic designers would then submit their entry, and at the end a member of staff would create a new thread that will have a poll attached for the community to vote on their favourite. The submission which receives the most votes wins rewards.

 

Possible rewards - Signature of The Month rank, forum award, in-game bonds, and their Signature of The Month submission visible somewhere located on the forum. 

 

 

VOTM (Video of The Month) - A member of staff would create a Video of The Month submission thread, which will include details, such as - the rewards, submission end date, theme, length of video, etc. Video creators would then submit their entry, and at the end a member of staff would create a new thread that will have a poll attached for the community to vote on their favourite.
