The numbers in regards to kills, boss kills etc. are always adjustable as well.
The currency provided for completing daily challenges will be trading sticks, they will be tradeable amongst players
In order to participate in the daily tasks, users must have 1250 total, and rewards will only be given for one of your accounts (rewards will check your MAC address to prevent new account/alt abuse)
By using a different form of currency, we can allow the economy to keep the rewards for completing daily tasks (trading sticks/mystery boxes) at their desired prices based on supply and demand, rather than creating rewards that will eventually become outdated. The use of skilling rewards is excellent as they won't be tradeable, but some players have no interest in exp, or are entirely maxed in specific skills. Adding mystery boxes is a new and exciting way to gain paid for content, and bringing back the somewhat dead content regular mys boxes)
Trading sticks will end up adjusting their price based on mystery box prices as well as players measured desire for the skilling outfit(s) and other rewards
They can be turned in to purchase mystery boxes, skilling outfits (with working bonuses), and osrs diary rewards (noted dagannoth bones, etc.)
The possibility of adding a highscores for tasks completed is a possibility as well

Disclaimer - Daily tasks that you completed previously in the week cannot be completed for the rest of the week (this is to prevent players from camping the same tasks)

Mystery Box (chance at partyhats etc.)
This is currently a donor item, but other games like League of legends have new methods of obtaining paid for skins and have been successful in implementing such
