We can all agree classic is dying out. This poll, however, is not a solution to this. I can only see downsides to this change;
-all the well established/known current classic players will quit their account and with that most likely Alora, as ALL their hard earned acomplishments vanish in 1 go. Their exclusive items lose 50% of the value and suddenly are not very exclusive. Their stats become nothing special as most skills are suddunly buyable. Hell id for sure quit my classic if this happened to me.

-we end up with a gamemode that falls in a huge gap of nothingness, inbetween normie, elite iron and osrs. Suddenly theres no accomplishment in maxing a classic anymore, as it would be comparable to normie 200m'ing. On top of this, theres no acomplishment in getting items anymore, as its normie eco. So what do we end up with? A inconvenient slow ass normie.. whoohoo.

-the ony thing this will end up with is some hype at the beginning, but a quit and silent death. Players will give it a try, realize its the most non-rewarding gamemode in the game and quit. Sure, by then theres no eco dependant on it, so then classic dying doesnt matter, but id be a shame.

-there were and are more than enough other options to revive classic of which ive not seen many used. A big event around this gamemode would atleast make many people want to try it, reviving the eco and maybe thus reviving the gamemode. On top of this, theres many other options to try...

All in all just a cheap and useless poll to "revive" classic. Sure, it will do the job when killing the gamemode a bit more quietly...

Had to vote no to this. First of all so many peoples banks are going to go down in price quite a bit. 2nd of all if the merge was to happen no guarentees this would revive game mode anyway because if they get a choice of a higher exp rate or lower most people will still go for higher one. Although I like the idea of a sword/cape for classics since they dont get anytihng really to show who they are in game.

Can't wait to see @iron aritus teach new players how to plank everywhere.

I also don’t blame you Ramon. I would’ve done the same exact thing you did, in that situation. This comes from the person who assaulted RWTers on sight.

I figured it was best to share this story since i've been getting multiple messages in my discord asking why I was banned. So here it is, a few weeks ago I was at a buddy's house and unfortunately we were raided by the drug enforcement police due to suspicion of possessing illegal drugs, I had to come up with an agreement to bribe my way out of this. The price that we settled for was really high, and I was purely in University with no job or any way of receiving income nor was I able to ask my parents for help since I knew for a fact that they would resent me for the rest of their lives if they found out about this. I was a little short on the amount we settled for, and I did not want to bullshit this officer since my future was on his hands, so I decided to real world trade everything I had on this server to come up with the amount of money I've agreed upon with the officer.

 

 

I didn't want this to happen but I had to decide what was more valuable to me, my future irl or my reputation in Alora, and as what every person would do, I chose my future. My ban was justified and I accept that, but knowing that im on these certain terms I believe that its best for me to call it the end of my journey in Alora. It was a great 2 years here in Alora and wish nothing but the best of luck to everyone.

How would this benefit Alora?: Considering incense burners are the most convenient XP per hour for training construction, it's rather annoying having to buy multiple inventories worth. This will make it easier for us lazy ironmen skillers.

Welcome to my guide to Planking! 

 

As most of you know , I am Smiv, the planker. I'm known for dying at many locations known for being quite hard to die at, in example; Dagannoth Kings, every Barrows Brothers', Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, basically anywhere you'd think Most people either do not die of die least often, I have done it there. Today I will be making a guide to give the do's and don't on either not planking, or hopefully planking!

Hello, Everyone. After participating in and watching how the last EIM Tourney went; I with the help of @Omicron will be re-hosting the tourney to give new players a shot as well as letting older players show their updated strategies.

The dates of the tournament will be Saturday 29th, Midnight server time. The Prefix will be announced/Edited to this thread. You will HAVE to check back here to find it and make your accounts.

The ending date will be October 14th, Meaning the 1v1 bracket will take place on this day. Time of the day will be later announced so we can have streams ready to show the 1v1's.

 

Any other questions, Comments, Or concerns can be PM'd to me or @king purple.

 

 

• The tournament will be 1v1 brackets. You must be registered before it begins. If you are NOT online when your fight is ready to begin you will be disqualified.
• After some discussion, There will be a brew cap allowing a maximum amount of 6 brews into the arena for each fight.
• You will be allowed to have a partner during the entire 2 weeks, but the tournament fights will strictly be 1v1's.
• ANY account sharing is prohibited and will cause an instant DQ and ban for you and your partner. (WE WILL BE CHECKING THIS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT STARTS)
• All fights will be a SAFE death and you will NOT lose items.
• The final fight will be BO3 (Best of 3)
• You MUST use the account with the prefix, any attempt to use any other account will result in you being DQ'ed.
• The account can only be created when the event starts, on September 29th, 00:00 Server time.
• The use of PvP weapons and armors will NOT be allowed in the 1v1's. You may use this to train as you wish but will not be allowed in the arena's during bracket stage.

Its sad for me to say this but these past weeks have been unpleasant for me, having family and school issues in my way just completely removes the time I have for Alora, which is why I'll be temporary resigning as global moderator till I can sort out my issues. We are slowly creeping up on Alora being online for 2 years! Since our official release on November 4th, 2016, Alora has became one of the most popular servers and continues to grow every single day. It's crazy how fast time has gone by and what Alora has become over the past 2 years. We have an amazing day planned for you guys next month because without you guys, Alora wouldn't be where it is today. With that being said I would like to personally thank Omicron, the entire staff team and most importantly, the community for an amazing 2 years and more to come.
