Hello everyone,

Firstly I'd like to thank you for being so patient as we worked on this update. As many of you know, we've been focusing much of our time on RuneLite which is extremely close to a full, public release. We are on the last stretch of beta testing and those of you who do not have access already can expect to be playing on RuneLite very soon :)

Nonetheless, we managed to pack a huge update in with a bunch of content as well as a number of QoL changes and bug fixes. We've started by implementing some of the most important features from Darkmeyer, such as the new Daeyalt essence mine, Dark graceful, the Dark squirrel metamorphosis option, Amulet of blood fury, Ring of endurance and more! On top of this, we've updated the Chambers of Xeric heavily with features such as the new Twisted ancestral kit, different chest glow colors to indicate the type of loot you received, 2 new pet variants and more. We still plan to add room randomization once we complete the RuneLite project! We've also listened to your Theatre of Blood concerns and have updated the drop rate to be less grindy, and implemented many Achievement diary changes that you've requested. There are too many updates to list, so we'll let you see for yourself below.

Additionally, with Summer right around the corner, we've decided to offer a 20% bonus on all token purchases in our store, on top of many discounted items! Make sure to stock up on any items that you need before the sale ends :)

  • Summer Sale:
    • The Start of Summer Sale is now live!
      • To mark the start of summer, we are giving 20% bonus tokens on all token purchases. This applies to all payment methods, including OSGP/Bitcoin. Make sure to take advantage of this sale while it lasts!
      • We're also giving up to 30% discounts on the following items:
        • Black partyhat
        • Ultimate mystery box
        • Cosmetic mystery box
        • Farmers blessing
        • Elite void set
        • Drop booster
        • Mithril seeds

  • Server latency update:
    • We've added a few new servers to connect to in parts of the world that were underserved to take stress off of the previous servers and hopefully improve latency for our players outside of North America.
      • We've added new EU servers in the following locations:
        • Poland
        • France
      • We've also added an Australian server to connect to (which we did not have before), in order reduce lag for our players down under.
  • PvM Magic accuracy fix:
    • It has recently come to our attention that the Magic accuracy in PvM situations was not properly applying certain boosts (eg. Prayer boosts), which has now been fixed. You should now notice PvM being much more accurate in certain situations.
  • Previous username feature:
    • You can now see what a player's previous username was by hovering over their name on the friends list!
      • Their username will show an icon to denote that they have changed their name.
        • This icon will last for 3 months after a name change, at which point it will no longer appear next to your username.
          • This should make it easier to keep track of who's who, but will also eventually go away for users who do not want the icon next to their name permanently.
  • Name change updates:
    • When a player gets a name change, other players who had that player on their friends or ignore lists will now automatically have the name updated to the player's new name.
      • Previously, it would not update your friend's username on your list, and you would have no idea what their new username is.
        • Trying in with the "Previous username feature", it will also notify you who it was that changed their name so you do not see random usernames on your friends/ignore lists.
  • Bug fixes:
    • Fixed iban's staff alch value.
    • Players who have 100+ master clues completed can now properly purchase the scroll sack from the skillcape shop.
    • Fixed an issue where moving through wheat in puro puro would sometimes teleport you somewhere else.
    • Fixed the item value of cooked meat.
    • Fixed a bug where losing the phoenix or tangleroot pet if it was metamorphed would cause you to not be able to re-purchase it from Probita.
    • Fixed the Toktz-xil-ak animation, and reduced the attack speed from 4 ticks to 6.
    • Imps are no longer aggressive.
    • Fixed a lizardman shaman safespot bug.
    • The Arclight now uses the proper attack style interface.
    • Removed the duplicate catch notification while fishing.
    • Removed the random cave horror/jungle horror spawns in Kourend centre.
    • The Iban's staff (u) now uses the proper auto-cast spell interface (similar to tridents/sanguinesti staff).
    • Fixed a bug where players could not store the Penance set in their armour case in their POH's.
    • Players can now store the un-noted Bob's blue shirt in their treasure chest in their POH.
    • Fixed a bug where all thrones in a player's POH would require noted marble blocks to build.
    • Fixed a bug where the 2 southern-most snape grass spawns on hobgoblin isle would not count towards the Falador medium diary acheivement.
    • Changed the blade of saeldor's weapon style interface to the appropriate one.
    • NPCs should no longer walk through walls randomly.
    • Fixed a bug where players could smuggle an item out of The Gauntlet.
    • Kills in Godwars dungeon instances will now count towards the appropriate Konar location based task.
    • The tormented bracelet (or) now provides the 5% magic damage bonus.
    • Condensed the text on the Ardougne Diary perk list so that it can now be properly read.
    • Players can now trigger the auto coin/tokkul collection on the Ring of wealth from the equipment interface.
    • The noted toxic staff (uncharged) is now tradable.
    • Fixed a bug with the Trollheim herb patch not updating the patch properly.
    • Fixed an issue where players would default to aggressive if they were on the second "accurate" option while using a trident.
    • Twisted horns will no longer announce over yell (as intended).
      • Additionally, the chest will not glow purple for these horns.
    • Dragon halberd will no longer announce over yell.
    • Magic accuracy has been reverted to how it was before the previous update.
    • Support icon has been fixed (in yell, ;;staff and a few other places)
    • Fixed a rare bank bug that could potentially cause an item to disappear.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Moved the tool leprechaun in the Hosidius patch closer to the centre of the patches.
    • The tool leprechaun at the Ardougne Farm patch has been moved closer to the centre of the patch.
    • Added a 1 tick delay to opening seed packs so that the Runelite loot tracker can properly track them.
    • The digsite pendant teleport to Fossil Island will now take players to the proper "house on the hill" location.
    • Players now have the option to pay Prospector Percy 50 golden nuggets to purchase access to the upper levels of the motherlode mine.
    • The ::nm command will now teleport players to the nightmare.
    • Twisted horns will no longer show up as a purple chest in the Chambers of Xeric.
    • Watson will now take all the clue scrolls that he requires that the player has when a player tries to hand him their clue scroll(s).
    • Players can now speak to Wesley to crush noted coconuts into 2 halves.
    • Coconut milk can now be made by using a coconut half on an empty vial, as opposed to a vial of water.
    • Added the ::Wiki command which will direct players to the Alora Wiki page.
    • Players can no longer get wilderness clue scroll steps from easy or medium clue scrolls.
    • The barbarian smash toggle used for vials, which automatically destroys empty vials, will now apply to empty bowls, empty jugs, and empty pie containers.
    • Lowered the defence of the respiratory system for Abyssal Sire.
    • Removed the warning dialogue when combining crystal key loop halves.
    • The "Check" option on the slayer helmet now allows players to check their slayer streak.
    • The farming skillcape teleport now works, and will take players to the Farming Guild.
    • Players can now use their seeds on their seed box to fill it with a specific kind of seed.
    • The crystal saw +3 bonus will now apply to the construction "build decoration" interface.
    • Killing the instanced Skotizo will now count towards the “Defeat Skotizo” daily task.
    • The NPC aggression now lasts 10 minutes instead of 5 minutes.
  • Drop mechanic changes:
    • Items that are dropped will now appear available to all players that are allowed to pick them up after 1 minute.
      • Previously, ironmen (excluding EIM/GIM) items that were dropped would simply disappear before ever going public.
  • Theatre of Blood drop rate changes:
    • We’ve heard your feedback, and have decided to further increase the chance of getting a purple chest from the Theatre of Blood.
      • Previously, the rates were approximately a 1/(11*# of teammates) chance of getting a purple chest before any boosts, assuming that no one died (this is the potential for each player in the raid, since we don’t limit the drops to 1 purple chest per raid).
        • We’ve decided to increase this chance to 1/(9*# of teammates) before any boosts, and assuming no deaths, which would bring the chance of getting a purple chest to approximately 1/45 for a 5-man raid, as opposed to 1/55, which is approximately a 20% increase on all purple chests.
  • Slayer changes:
    • Slayer reward shop changes:
      • The amulet of the damned cost has been reduced from 2500 points to 1200 points.
      • The Salve amulet (e) cost has been reduced from 1800 to 1200 points.
      • The imbuement scroll cost has been reduced from 1800 to 1500 points.
      • The Ammo mould has been removed from the slayer shop.
    • Slayer point changes:
      • Boss slayer tasks now give a larger amount of slayer points upon completion (25 instead of 12).
        • The task streak bonus is still the same as regular tasks.
      • The base amount of points from hard tasks has been increased from 12 to 15 points at nieve, and from 18 to 20 points from Konar.
        • The task streak bonus is still the same as it was previously.
  • Achievement Diary Changes:
    • Replaced the "Complete a smoke devil task" in the Western provinces diaries to "Fletch 15 magic shortbow (u)'s in the Gnome stronghold”.
    • Reduced the amount of redwood tree's players need to grow in the Kourend Elite diary from 3 to 2.
    • Reduced the amount of Spirit trees players need to grow in the Karamja Elite diary from 3 to 2.
    • Reduced the amount of Konar slayer tasks required for the Morytania Medium Diary task from 10 to 5.
    • A new Desert medium diary achievement has been added:
      • The Achievement is to grind 50 buckets of sand in the quarry south of the bandit camp.
    • Achievement Diary Perk Changes:
      • Ardougne Easy Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary now have a 5% lower chance of being caught while pickpocketing npc’s.
      • Ardougne Hard Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary now have a 10% lower chance of being caught while pickpocketing npc’s.
      • Desert Medium Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary will now have 50 buckets of sand automatically deposited into their bank every 24 hours.
          • Players must have enough bank space for the buckets, otherwise they will not be deposited.
      • Desert Elite Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary will now have 100 buckets of sand automatically deposited into their bank every 24 hours.
          • Players must have enough bank space for the buckets, otherwise they will not be deposited.
      • Kourend Easy Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary can now use the Kourend teleport in the modern spell book.
      • Lumbridge Medium Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary will now have 50 Seaweed delivered to their bank every 24 hours.
      • Lumbridge Hard Diary:
        • Players who complete the Lumbridge Hard Diary now have a 10% increased chance of activating a bolt special attack.
        • Players who complete this diary will now have 75 Seaweed delivered to their bank every 24 hours.
      • Lumbridge Elite Diary:
        • Players who complete this diary will now have 100 Seaweed delivered to their bank every 24 hours.
    • Note: Automatic delivery effects do not stack, so you won’t be able to login after 15 days and receive 15 days worth of seaweed/sand, it will only be 1 days worth.
  • Modern spell book addition:
    • Players can now use the Kourend Teleport in the modern spellbook.
      • To use this teleport, players must have the Kourend easy diary completed.
      • As with all modern spell book teleports, it will not require the runes to use the teleport, and will not give any magic experience.
        • Players will still require level 69 magic to use this teleport spell.
  • General Graardor changes:
    • All melee damage from General Graardor can now be negated using protect from melee.
      • Previous it would negate 70% of the damage.
    • The defence of all the Bandos GWD minions has been reduced by about 66%.
      • If these numbers are too high or too low, please let us know, and we’ll investigate further.
  • Skotizo changes:
    • Players who sacrifice totems to Skotizo in the Catacombs of Kourend will no longer need to wait the 12 hour timer each time they summon it.
  • Motherlode mine donator perk:
    • Players who have a donator rank will now have a chance to get a bonus golden nugget when depositing pay-dirt into the hopper.
      • To be eligible for this bonus, players must deposit at least 24 pay-dirt into the hopper.
        • The higher the player’s donator rank, the more likely they are to get a bonus nugget each deposit.
        • The bonus nugget is an extra ore, and will not count as a pay-dirt if it’s obtained.
        • The maximum amount of bonus nuggets a player can earn with a hopper that has capacity for 108 pay-dirt is 4 nuggets (assuming they got the bonus nugget for each deposit).
  • Extended Antifire potions:
    • Players can now make extended antifire potions.
      • To do so, players must use lava scale shards on a regular anti fire potion.
        • This requires 1, 2, 3, or 4 shards based on the doses you’re making, and will provide 27 experience per dose, with a maximum of 110 Herblore experience for making 4-dose potions.
    • The extended antifire potion works the same way as the regular antifire potion, however it lasts for 12 minutes as opposed to the normal 6.
  • New mining ores:
    • Players can now mine Granite in the quarry south of the bandit camp.
      • Granite has a chance of giving 500g (50 experience), 2kg (60 experience) or 5kg (75 experience) blocks each time a player mines the ore.
        • Players will need level 45 mining to mine granite.
    • Players can now mine Sandstone in the quarry south of the bandit camp.
      • Sandstone has a chance of giving a 1kg (30 experience), 2kg (40 experience), 5kg (50 experience) or 10kg (60 experience) sandstone block each time a player mines the ore.
        • Players will need level 35 mining to mine sandstone.
  • Sandstone grinding:
    • In the quarry south of the bandit camp, players can now use the sandstone grinder to create buckets of sand.
      • Players can store empty buckets with Drew, the resident sand grinder, which will be used to store the sand.
        • Friendly reminder: Trader Stan’s charter shop sells bucket packs players can use to quickly get noted empty buckets.
      • Once a player has mined their sandstone, they can deposit it into the grinder nearby, which will grind the sandstone into a specific quantity of sand.
        • Sandstone 1kg provides enough sand to fill 1 bucket.
        • Sandstone 2kg provides enough sand to fill 2 buckets.
        • Sandstone 5kg provides enough sand to fill 4 buckets.
        • Sandstone 10kg provides enough sand to fill 8 buckets.
      • Once ready, player’s can right click “claim-sand” or speak to drew to claim their noted buckets of sand.
        • Each bucket of sand requires 1 empty bucket (stored with Drew) and enough sand to fill it.
          • Players will also require 50 gold for each bucket they claim.
      • Players can store at most enough sand/empty buckets to create 25,000 buckets of sand.
    • Removed granite (5kg) from Construction supplies shop.
  • Ammo mould changes:
    • The ammo mould has been removed from the Slayer shop.
      • Players can now acquire the ammo mould from the Achievement shop for 5 Million gp after completing the Fremmenik Medium Diaries.
    • We’ve also increased the delay to smith cannonballs by a few ticks (it’s still quite a bit lower than OSRS).
  • Chambers of Xeric changes:
    • Vanguard changes:
      • For teams of 4 or less, the max hp difference the vanguards can have before they heal is 40% instead of the previous 25%.
        • For teams of 5 or more, this difference has been increased to 30% from 25%.
    • Re-entering raids:
      • Players can now re-enter raids that they’ve disconnected out of.
        • If a player leaves/disconnects from a raid, the total points for the raid will be reduced by the amount of points that player had.
          • When they re-enter, the points will be re-added.
        • This will not work for solo raids, since the raid is destroyed when no players are left in it.
    • Twisted ancestral recolour kit:
      • This has been added as a rare drop from the Chambers of Xeric.
        • Players will have a small chance of obtaining a kit after each completion.
          • If the player has received the kit, the chest will glow with a green hue, as opposed to the white/purple.
            • If the player obtains a metamorphic dust, they may still have gotten the kit, but the chest will be Cyan instead of green.
      • Obtaining this item will be a tertiary roll that is separate from the metamorphic dust, meaning that if a player receives this item, it will be an extra separate item that is obtained, as opposed to replacing another item.
    • Double grub worms:
      • Players will now have a chance to get a second grub worm from the Grub worm chests, with the chance being higher based on their thieving level.
    • Chest light color:
      • The raids chest color will now be Cyan instead of purple if the chest contains metamorphic dust.
    • Resource drop improvements:
      • The # of Resource drops received will now be increased, depending on your performance in the raid.
    • Olmlet pet changes:
      • 2 new pet options have been added to Olmlet's metamorphosis:
        • Enraged Tektiny
        • Flying Vespina
      • Both of these pets were previously available, but not in the enraged/flying variants.
  • Thieving:
    • Gnomes can now be pickpocketed at level 75 Thieving.
      • Gnomes will provide 2000-3000 gold when pickpocketed, and provide 198 base thieving experience.
    • Thzaar-Hur can now be pickpocketed at level 90 Thieving.
      • They will provide 104 base thieving experience.
      • Loot:
        • The most common loot will be between 3-16 Tokkul, but there will also be a chance to receive an emerald, sapphire, ruby, or diamond from them.
      • Players who are not wearing ice gloves will take 4 damage each time they attempt to pickpocket the NPC.
      • Only Tzhaar-Hur’s in the new inferno-area of Tzhaar City have the option to be pickpocketed.
    • Vyres can now be pickpocketed at level 82 thieving.
      • They will provide 307 base experience.
      • Loot:
        • Most commonly, they will provide between 2500 and 3150 GP per pickpocket, but players also have a chance to obtain 5 death runes, 10 blood runes, a diamond, or an uncut ruby on as uncommon loot.
          • There is also a 1/3000 chance that a player can get a blood shard from the Vyres.
  • Lizardman Shaman changes:
    • The Lizardman shaman’s ranged attack now has the proper projectile showing.
    • The Lizardman shaman’s jump attack now has a reduced radius by 1 tile if the player is in the Lizardman temple.
    • The Lizardman shaman’s will no longer summon more spawns if the previously summoned ones are still alive.
    • The Lizardman shamans will now stay in the air for 1 tick longer when doing their jump attack to give the player a better chance at getting out of the damage radius.
  • Kq head (tattered):
    • Players will now be guaranteed the Kq Head (tattered) on their 256th Kalphite queen kill.
      • This will only be obtainable once, and only for players who current have less than 256 KQ kills.
      • The only use for the KQ head (tattered) will be for the desert elite diaries, so player will not be able to make the Slayer helm variant with it.
  • Zuriel’s Staff changes:
    • The Zuriel's staff now causes blood barrage to heal 50% more hitpoints.
    • The Zuriel's staff now has a 10%  accuracy bonus for ice spells.
  • Darkmeyer Additions:
    • The city of Darkmeyer has been added!
      • You can access Darkmeyer through the Teleport Wizard on the cities page as long as you meet the following requirements:
        • 4 Quest points
        • 62 Woodcutting
        • 60 Fletching
        • 56 Crafting
        • 52 Agility
        • 50 Attack
        • 50 Slayer
        • 49 Magic
    • Dark graceful:
      • Players can use the Dark dye item on any graceful piece (of any color) to recolour it to the darker variant for graceful.
        • We found that the original shade that the dark graceful models had was a bit too light compared to what many people expected, so we made some tweaks, and have allowed players to choose whether they wish to recolour their graceful to the original variant, or to a darker version.
      • Dark dye can be obtain by either trading Grace in the rogue’s den and purchasing it for 125 marks of grace, or they can be purchased through the forum store.
    • Dark squirrel:
      • Players have a very rare chance when completing any agility course to obtain a Dark acorn, which can be used on the giant squirrel pet to turn it into a Dark squirrel.
        • This process cannot be undone.
    • Amulet of blood fury:
      • Players can now combine a Blood shard with an Amulet of fury to create an Amulet of blood fury.
        • This amulet will give players a 10% chance to heal 20% of the damage they’ve just dealt with a melee attack.
          • The 20% of damage dealt is different from OSRS’s 10%, but we felt that 10% of the damage dealt is too insignificant, so we decided to adjust it.
          • The amulet has 10,000 charges, and degrades back to an amulet of fury when the charges have been used.
            • A charge will be consumed each time a player attacks and deals damage above 0 to a target using melee.
      • The blood shard can be obtained from pickpocketting or killing Vyres in Darkmeyer.
    • Vyre sentinels can now be attacked by players.
      • Although their drop tables are a bit lacklustre, they also provide a small chance of obtaining a blood shard.
        • Players do not have to be on task to obtain the blood shard.
      • Across from the sentinels, there is a statue where you can restore your prayer points. Restoring prayer here will also cost 2 hitpoints.
    • Ring of endurance:
      • Players can now purchase the ring of endurance from Grace’s agility store for 300 marks of grace.
      • The ring, when charged, has the following properties:
        • When a dose of stamina potion is drank, it will restore 40 run energy instead of 20.
        • When a dose of stamina potion is drank, the duration will be doubled (4 minutes instead of 2 minutes).
        • If the ring holds at least 500 charges, players run energy will drain 15% slower than usual.
          • This effect stacks with the stamina potion effect.
      • Players can charge the ring by using noted stamina potions on it, and each charge will cost 1 stamina dose.
      • The ring is tradable in it’s uncharged form only, and uncharging a charged ring will cause all the doses that were put into it to be lost.
    • Daeyalt essence mine:
      • For players with 60 Mining and who meet the requirements to enter Darkmeyer, you can now mine essence in the Daeyalt mine! The entrance to the mine can be found in the south end of Darkmeyer.
        • Instead of pure essence, you will be able to mine Daeyalt rocks which give stackable Daeyalt shards.
          • These shards can then be exchanged with Noranna Tytanin on the eastern side of the mine at a 1:1 ratio for Daeyalt essence, which gets sent directly to your bank.
      • Benefits:
        • Runecrafting with Daeyalt essence will earn you 50% more Runecrafting experience for any Runecrafting action, making this a more efficient way to train RC, especially for trade-locked accounts.
          • You can also store Daeyalt essence in Runecrafting pouches, but cannot mix types in the same pouch. For example, if you already have 5 Pure essence in a Medium pouch, you cannot add any Daeyalt essence to it without first emptying it.
            • Your pouch will prioritize Daeyalt essence, so if you have both types in your inventory, Daeyalt will get filled first.
        • The shards you mine are stackable, and the converted essence gets sent straight to your bank, meaning you won't have to leave the area for awhile.
        • You can also receive uncut gems while mining here, unlike Pure essence mines.
      • Notes:
        • Daeyalt essence is not tradable.
        • There are 3 essence rocks in the area, and only 1 will be active at any given time. The active rock will change approximately every 30 seconds.
  • Special attack orb:
    • Players can now click the special attack orb next to the minimap to toggle their special attack on.
      • This can only be used in safe zone PvM situations, and is strictly off limits in the wilderness.

#357565 Casket's Bi-Weekly Progression [02/06/2020]

Posted by Open Casket on 02 June 2020 - 01:39 AM

Check our last progression post here! : https://www.alora.io...ression-190520/

Progression

So on my last progression post I said I would be hoping to get a few 99's but we ended up doing a little bit of PvM to begin with, and then I got sidetracked with 108 Abyssal Sire kills (No unsired drop  :( ), this kinda burnt out my PvM side of the progression and we stopped with that. So this weeks updates brings a few clue rewards as well as some skill levels, we worked primarily on skills and hit a few 90 or close to 90's! Enjoy the images!

Ps. We've added a new section that will only be appearing every couple of progression logs when I feel there has been enough progress, our Clue scroll collection log! Thanks to @11 for this suggestion!

Plans for next time!

So this time I'm not going to say I'll get a 99, if it happens it happens, as always I'll probably do a mix of clues, levelling, bossing and slayer. Specifically I am going to look to hoarding raids supplies, lot of pots, as a realism this is hard to come by and people don't really sell, if they do the price is highballed so it's way better to be self sufficient.

I also want to look into getting my 2nd Trident as we sold our last one for some cash (It was more important at the time) and maybe start the Dwh grind? Let's see what the next 2 weeks bring and I hope you've enjoyed the log!

#345006 [29/3/20] Slayer rework, Nightmare loot buff, Firelighters + Phoenix recolour...

Posted by Omicron on 29 March 2020 - 03:08 AM

Hello everyone,

Today we bring a massive update with plenty of long-awaited bug fixes and QOL updates! We've added the latest OSRS Nightmare loot system buff which should make every run a bit more profitable, and we added Phoenix recolours as well as firelighters to make your pets and firemaking more colourful. An extensive list of updates can be found below.

Also, we have a major announcement coming in the next few days. We're super excited about what we have to share with you, so keep an eye out for that announcement!

Nonetheless, enjoy the following updates :)

  • Bug fixes:
    • Fixed a bug where the magic experience would be calculated before altering damage to NPC’s.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing superior slayer encounters to occur a lot more commonly than they should have been.
      • This bug has been fixed, so players should expect to see fewer encounters now.
    • Moved the unreachable rune ore in the Donator Zone to an accessible location.
    • Fixed a bug where players could enter an instance from a different location.
      • For example, entering a Dagannoth kings instance from the GWD door.
    • Fixed a bug where players could fletch arrows while firemaking.
    • Fixed a bug where players could fletch and woodcut at the same time.
    • Altered Superior encounter imbued heart drop rates to be 2x what they are on OSRS, since our rates were not accurate.
    • Fixed a bug where players who had both the Chemist cryptic clue and the rimmington dig clue could not complete their step.
    • The 10% magic damage boost for the Mystic smoke staff will now show up on the equipment interface.
    • Item overlays will no longer be drawn over interfaces.
    • Fixed a bug where lizardman shamans would sometimes be able to attack players through walls.
    • Fixed the examine and combat stats on the nuclear smoke devil superior encounter.
    • Fixed a bug where superior slayer encounters would be aggressive when they spawned.
    • Fixed the attack/defence/death animations of the Abhorrent spectre.
    • Fixed the combat stats of the Abhorrent spectre.
    • Fixed a bug where sometimes the wrong superior slayer encounter would spawn.
    • Fixed a bug where the gauntlet timers would be too fast, and players would end up losing out on 15-30 seconds of time.
    • Flames of Zamorak will now be highlighted in the spell book if a player has all the necessary runes and the Toxic Staff of the Dead, or the Staff of the Dead equipped.
    • Fixed a bug where players could see the "talk-to" and "pick-up" options on the Sraracha pet.
    • Fixed a bug with combo runes sometimes uses more than necessary.
      • For example, if a spell like entangle required 5 water runes and 5 earth runes, and you used 5 mud runes to cast the spell, it would consume 10 mud runes, when it should have only consumed 5.
    • Fixed a bug where the pickaxe requirements were checking your woodcutting level instead of your mining level.
    • Fixed a bug where players could sometimes transfer a transferrable item, and not receive it if they recently filled all the slots in their inventory.
    • The redwood bug which would entirely remove the redwood tree until you log out has been fixed.
    • Lighting normal logs will now grant 40 base experience as opposed to 30.

      • Previously, players could simply log out if they were recently hit by poison/venom.
    • Players can no longer be attacked by GWD npc’s if they open the private-room selection interface.
      • This will not work from within the GWD chamber itself.
    • Players who have less than 4 quest points will no longer be assigned ancient wyverns as a slayer task.
    • Fixed the gargoyle death animation.
      • It is now much shorter as well.
    • Fixed marble gargoyle attack and death animations.
    • Fixed a bug where marble gargoyles would drop 10-20 gold ores that were un-noted.
    • Players can now longer enter a cave/tunnel or climb a ladder that would take them to a non-clipped zone.
    • Fixed a bug where players could sometimes spawn 2 kraken bosses.
    • Fixed a bug where spiritual rangers would drop 1-12 un-noted oak longbows.
    • Fixed a bug where equipping the mime mask item would make the player's head invisible.
    • Fixed a bug where players daily task streaks would reset at when the server rebooted.
      • Rebooting the server would previously cause the game to reset players tasks upon loading, but this will no longer happen.
    • Fixed a bug where some players could add themselves to their friends list.
    • Fixed a bug where the magic book would not show unlimited runes for the following items:
      • Kodai wand
      • Lava battlestaff(or)
      • Mystic lava staff(or)
    • The mystic lava staff(or) and Lava battlestaff(or) now provide unlimited earth and fire runes as intended.
    • Zulrah’s phases now have the proper defensive stats:
      • Green phase’s range defence has been reduced.
      • Orange phase’s range defence has been vastly increased.
      • Blue phase’s mage defence has been vastly increased, and the range defence has been vastly decreased.
    • Kalphite Queen now gives double the slayer experience(given that she has 2 phases), and will now provide the appropriate 535 base slayer experience.
    • Fixed a bug where players who got frozen on the wilderness agility log would get stuck on it.
    • Sword fixes:
      • Added the proper attack animations for Bronze->Rune swords.
      • Added the proper attack animations for the Swift Blade.
      • The Swift blade attack speed is now 3 ticks instead of 4.
    • Fixed a bug where the "pet" option on the jal-rek jad pet wouldn't be hidden if the player had the "hide pet options" toggled.
    • Fixed a bug where minnows were giving slightly too much experience.
    • Fixed a bug where items would not drop under the NPC sometimes.
    • All Godwars dungeon NPC’s are now aggressive.
    • All Aviansie npc’s can now be attacked.
    • Fixed a bug that would cause issues when trying to get a new slayer task if you had recently used the Enchanted gem to separate from your slayer partner.
    • Fixed some dialogue bugs that had to do with duo slayer.
    • The infernal harpoon now requires level 60 attack to equip.
    • Increased Cerberus' attack distance so he can no longer be safespotted with Mage/Range.
    • Fixed the corporeal beast cave entrance/exit.
    • Fixed a bug where depositing your equipment into your bank would cause the game to think you were still autocasting if you had an autocast staff equipped.
    • Fixed a bug where storing the Green D'hide (t) set in your treasure chest would require a "Terrorbird wing" instead of Green d'hide chaps(t).
    • Fixed a bug where players could get Sergeant Steelwill and Sergeant Grimspike to target an alternate account standing outside of the Bandos room.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not disassemble cosmetic slayer helmets.
    • Fixed a bug where some pets wouldn't be hidden with the hide pet option toggled.

    • Fixed a bug where the overhead prayers would still be shuffled from The Nightmare when a player left the nightmare while still cursed.
    • Hunter levels will no be announced in Yell and show up in the chatbox.
    • Fixed a bug where the Graveyard of Shadows wilderness supply chest would show up near the dark castle.

    • Players can no longer stack multiple clue bottles of the same type.
    • Players can no longer stack multiple clue nests of the same type.

    • Fixed a bug where players who did not have Dragon Slayer 2 completed would get assigned Lithkren tasks from Konar.
    • Fixed a bug where duo slayer partners would get assigned a rune dragon/adamant dragon/iorwerth dungeon task if their partner didn't have the requirements.
    • Fixed a bug where Konar wouldn’t mention the location of the task monster to the partner of the player who got the task.
    • Dagon'hai robes now require 40 Defence and 70 Magic to equip (Previously 20 and 40, respectively).
    • Bounty hunter target system fix:
      • Previously, a bug allowed multiple people to have the same target. This was a big bug for PVPers as it allowed PJing from multiple angles. This has now been fixed.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Slightly shifted the “Gamer” npc’s location in ::gamble so that he won’t stand in front of the bank chest.
    • Added the server Month/day to the server statistics time in the quest tab.
    • Players can now speak to the sawmill operator in the woodcutting guild to make planks.
    • Added Ice troll spawns north of Yaks on Neitiznot, and fixed their animations.
    • The drop rate of clue scrolls in the wilderness has been doubled if a player is using the ROW(I).
    • Removed the “Talk-to” option from H.A.M members that can be pickpocketed.
      • This means that the Pickpocket option is now the default left-click action.
    • Crystal Acorns and Crystal Shards have been added to the Crystal impling drop table.
    • Sarachnis’s respawn timer has been decreased from 24 seconds to 10 seconds.
    • Added the Farmer's blessing to the reclaimable shop for 250k.
    • Players will now be notified how many slayer tasks they’ve completed after each one.
    • The Home teleport has been completely disabled in the wilderness.
    • Changed the “Complete a Konar blood veld slayer task in the slayer tower” to simply “complete a bloodveld slayer task” for the medium Morytania diaries.
    • Reduced the number of catacomb slayer tasks from Konar required for the Kourend medium diaries from 10 to 5.
    • Reduced the number of slayer tower tasks from Konar required for the Morytania medium diaries from 15 to 10.
    • Changed the Konar waterbirth Dagannoth task achievement to just be a Konar Dagannoth task in any of the possible locations.
    • Changed the Konar Brimhaven black demon task achievement to just be a Konar black demon task in any of the possible locations.
    • Dagannoths in the Catacombs of Kourend will not only attack with melee.
    • Removing item overlays will now take priority over interaction.
      • This means that trying to remove an item from your ground item overlays while holding control will no longer accidentally cause you to interact with an npc/object, or pick up an item.
    • The key to blacklist ground item overlays has been changed to control instead of shift, so as not to conflict with the shift-drop option.
    • Increased the experience from high alchemy to 65 base experience instead of 60 to match OSRS.
    • The seers village agility course now has the same base experience rates as OSRS.
    • Wearing the god item that protects from a specific type of npc(for example, Armadyl coif will allow Armadyl npc’s to be non-aggressive) now works properly.
    • Wearing a Saradomin or Zamorak item will now cause bandits to be aggressive, otherwise they will not engage.
    • Added the Quest cape teleport to the Legend’s Guild.
    • Added the Music cape teleport to Falo the Bard.
    • Hespori’s flowers will now be one-shot any time they are hit.
    • Fletching Broad bolts can now be done with unfinished broad bolts and feathers.
      • Previously, this was done by adding broad arrowheads to unfinished broad bolts.
        • This has a few important implications:
          • Players will no longer be able to spam arrowheads onto unfinished broad bolts for absurd amounts of fletching experience.
            • This was a hugely broken aspect of fletching on Alora, and will no longer be a viable training method.
          • Fletching broad bolts will now overall be cheaper, as players won’t have to purchase broad arrowheads, but instead can use feathers.
    • Made the NPC drop table and drop searcher drop rates consistent
      • Previously one was using the player based drop rates(calculating rates with player bonuses) and the other one wasn't
        • Both interfaces now use the player's drop rate as opposed to the standard one
    • Improved safeguards for event deaths, so no players who die at events(even if they die the tick after they leave) should lose their items or HCIM status.
    • Added the ::morgen command which re-directs players to Morgen's channel.
    • Added the ::uimagility command which re-directs players to UIM Agility’s channel.
    • Ironman group joining warning:
      • Before joining a new Ironman group, you will be presented with a warning that tells you how many more transfers you have until your account is locked.
        • As of the last update to this mechanic, an Ironman can join a group 5 times over the lifetime of their account. On the last join, an all-caps warning will tell them that they can not transfer groups after this one. Otherwise, it will tell them that the decision is permanent after X more transfers.
  • Agility changes:
    • We’ve made some changes to the marks of grace system to more closely match OSRS.
      • Mark of grace spawn:
        • Instead of having a chance to automatically get marks of grace when completing a course, they will now be spawned on the course, similar to in OSRS, with similar rates.
          • Each time a mark of grace is spawned, it will last for 10 minutes before it de-spawns.
            • If a player gets another mark while doing the course, it will reset the timer to 10 minutes and stack the marks, so players do not need to continuously pick up the marks.
      • Graceful shop changes:
        • The price of graceful equipment/amylase crystals have been reduced to match OSRS.
          • Players can also now sell back their amylase crystal packs or graceful equipment at a discounted rate.
  • Clue scroll changes:
    • Firelighters have been added as a possible reward to all clues. (Easy to Elite)
  • Firelighters:
    • Firelighters can now be added to logs!
      • Obtained through completion of any clue scroll, the following colors can be added to normal logs:
        • Red
        • Green
        • Blue
        • White
        • Purple
      • Notes:
        • Lighting these logs grants 10xp more than regular logs, for 50 total experience.
        • Aside from using them to ignite colourful fires, you can also use firelighters to change the color of your phoenix pet.
  • Phoenix pet updates:
    • Recolors:
      • You can now recolour your Phoenix pet to one of the following options, using firelighters:
        • Green (250 Green firelighters)
        • White (250 White firelighters)
        • Purple (250 Purple firelighters)
        • Blue (250 Blue firelighters)
      • Using 250 Red firelighters will turn your pet back into the default Phoenix.
      • Please note this is not an unlock and will require you to use 250 firelighters on the Phoenix pet each time you want to recolour it.
    • Dialogues:
      • Numerous dialogues have been added for interacting with Phoenix pets (previously, there were no dialogues at all).
  • Spear changes:
    • Fixed a bug that was causing Spears/Hastas to provide the wrong experience.
      • NOTE: This means that most spears/hastas that have “Controlled” as the attack style will now provide attack, strength, and defence experience, whereas previous they did not.
    • Fixed the crush and slash animations most spears including:
      • Vesta’s spear
      • Leaf-bladed spear
      • Zamorakian spear
      • Gilded spear
      • Gilded Hasta
      • Dragon Hasta
      • Zamorakian hasta
  • Falador rooftop agility added:
    • The Falador rooftop agility course has been added to Alora.
      • This course requires level 50 Agility to do, and each lap of the course provides a total of 440 base agility experience.
        • Players have a chance to earn 1-2 marks of grace for each lap of the course completed.
  • Cooking changes:
    • Cooking fish now more or less follows the table below, with the exception of differentiating between fire/range cooking, which has not been implemented yet:
  • Preserve prayer changes:
    • Fixed a bug where the preserve prayer would allow players to keep boosted stats indefinitely.
    • The preserve prayer has been buffed to allow boosted stats to last 50% longer(as opposed to 20% that it previously was).
    • Preserve will now work immediately when it is considered to be active.
      • Previously, it would only work after a few minutes of being active.
        • As of now, preserve needs to be active until it drains at least 1 prayer point(18 seconds by default, however this may be slightly more depending on your prayer bonus).
          • Once the prayer point has been drained, prayers are eligible for the effects of preserve.
  • Trident changes:
    • The equipment interface of the trident has been updated to the proper one.
      • This means the following things:
        • Players can no longer staff bash with tridents.
        • Players no longer require 75 magic to actually use the spell, just to equip the staff.
        • Players can no longer auto-cast spells with tridents.
        • Note: The................
  • PvP changes:
    • Made the experience drops for Multi-target magic spells appear 1 tick faster to more accurately match OSRS.
    • Players who have their combat experience locked will now see the base experience drops when fighting other players.
    • The Basilisk Jaw will now drop on death instead of the Helm of Neitiznot.
    • The Completionist Monkey stats will now be reduced to those of the regular Max Cape to keep PvP more balanced for regular players.
    • Made the serpentine helm show player facial hair.
    • Drag timer interface setting:
      • Players can now go to the client interface settings tab and manually set their drag timer.
        • This is effectively the same as doing ::drag X, but this will be easier for most players to know about/access.
          • This also means that the drag timer will save when players logout, so they won’t have to set it again.
      • The default drag timer for all players has been reset to 5 milliseconds.
  • Slayer changes:
    • Konar now has a chance to assign boss tasks to players who have the Like a boss perk unlocked.
    • Players can now attack their superior encounters with priority over other npc's.
    • Slayer Extensions:
      • We’ve introduced slayer extensions to Nieve’s slayer reward shop:
        • All the extensions are properly functioning, with the exception of the Scabarites extension which will be added in the future when the Scabarite task is added.
    • Slayer Unlocks:
    • Slayer shop changes:
      • All prices in the slayer exchange shop have been divided by 4.
        • This also means players slayer points have been divided by 4.
      • Players generally won’t notice a difference, since both their points and the shop prices were reduced by a factor of 4x, so this change is only a complementary to scale to the new point system.
    • Slayer streaks will no longer reset from blocking/cancelling tasks.
    • New point system:
      • We’ve re-written the slayer points system to be more similar to OSRS.
        • This new system will provide a default amount of slayer points based on the type of task you do.
          • Even though most unlocks/perks will be useful for hard slayer tasks, Hard/Easy/Medium tasks all provide the same amount of points to allow newer players to build a stronger point foundation early on.
          • Players will also receive large bonuses for completing every 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 tasks.
          • All points received are eligible for bonuses.
            • Slayer point boost changes:
              • The slayer point vote bonus has been reduced to 15% as opposed to 25%.
              • The slayer point boost for the Morytania diaries has been increased to the following:
                • Easy diaries: 5% boost
                • Medium diaries: 7.5% boost
                • Hard diaries: 10% boost
                • Elite diaries: 15% boost
            • Point boosts:
              • 15% vote bonus
              • 0-50% bonus slayer points for events
              • 0-15% bonus for Morytania diaries
              • 10% bonus points for Konar tasks from the hard Kourend diaries
            • The slayer point boosts are additive, meaning that the max boost(with all boosts applying) would be a 1.9x boost multiplier.
    • Extreme tasks are no longer a category of their own.
      • They have been given a weight as a hard task, and if that task is chosen, players will be able receive a random boss task.
    • Gargoyles now require a rock hammer to kill.
      • Once the gargoyle has reached 9 hit points or less, players can use their rock hammers to smash the gargoyles.
    • Rock slugs now require a bag of salt to kill.
      • Once the Rockslug has 5 hit points or less, players can use their bag of salt on the Rockslug to kill it.
    • Removal of free slayer task skipping:
      • We’ve made the decision to remove the free task skips for super donator+ ranks.
        • Immortal donators will however retain a portion of this perk, and will only have to pay half the cancellation costs for slayer tasks.
        • This decision was made due to the fact that having unlimited skips essentially defeats the purpose of the skill, since most players ended up skipping tasks repeatedly until they got the ones they wanted.
          • This is a necessary change, since we want to move forward with slayer expansion, and add task extensions, and a new point distribution system more focused on actually doing the tasks assigned.
    • We’ve implemented changes to the slayer task selection system, and made it a weight-based system, more similar to OSRS.
    • Task changes:
      • Added Ancient wyvern cave wyverns as a Konar hard task.
      • Added Hellhounds as a medium slayer task.
      • Added Jellies as a medium slayer task.
      • Added Ogres as a medium slayer task.
      • Added Suqah's as a hard slayer task.
      • Added Spiritual mages as a hard slayer task.
      • Added Fire giants as a hard slayer task.
      • Added Ice trolls as a hard task.
      • Added Ankou’s to hard slayer tasks.
      • Added Mithril dragons to Konar slayer tasks.
      • Added Waterfiends to Konar slayer tasks.
        • These will either be assigned in the Ancient cavern or Kraken cove.
      • Added Aviansies to hard tasks.
      • Added Aviansies to Wilderness tasks(Wilderness godwars dungeon).
      • Added Aviansies to Konar slayer tasks.
      • Moved the Giant Mole task from Hard to Extreme slayer tasks.
      • Removed infernal mages from hard slayer tasks.
      • Changed the Basilisk Knights task assigned from Hard Slayer tasks to be just Basilisks.
        • This will give players the choice of either killing basilisks, or basilisk knights.
    • Superior slayer changes:
      • Added the giant rockslug superior encounter.
      • Added the Insatiable mutated bloodveld encounter to Mutated bloodvelds.
      • Added the Vitreous jelly encounter for Jellies.
      • Added the Vitreous warped jelly encounter for Warped Jellies.
      • Added the Repugnant spectre superior from Deviant Spectres.
      • Added the Nechryarch superior encounter to Nechryaels and Greater Nechryaels.
  • Added the Fremennik hard diary perk that allows players to receive noted adamantite bars from Aviansies.
  • Daily Task changes:
    • Due to popular request, we’ve made the following changes to the daily task system to make it more daily-friendly:
      • Easy task changes:
        • Complete a raid task has been completely removed to make it easier for new players to keep their streak going.
        • Use the High alchemy spell reduced from 100 times to 50.

#338935 New Website Design

Posted by Omicron on 24 February 2020 - 07:49 PM

alora_logo.png

Hello everyone,

As you've probably already noticed, our website has been completely redesigned! We felt that it was time for a change, and although our old theme certainly served its purpose, we've outgrown it and feel that the new one represents Alora's game and community more appropriately. We made sure to use some warmer colors, especially on the forum, so that the pages are a bit easier on the eyes. The new homepage is also mobile-ready, making it far easier to navigate on your phone or tablet.

There are too many changes to list, but we've made sure to keep the important elements the same as before. Forum functionality has not changed, and the other pages should be just as easy to navigate as before. With that being said, there may be some bugs as with any new update, so please let us know if you run into any.

We will slowly also be updating to use our new logo in certain areas (Discord, game client, etc) in the near future.

Big thanks to @Slyther, the talented designer who I've worked with the past few weeks to bring this design to life. He also designed our first website, and has come a long way since then.

We hope you guys are pleased with the new design, and we'd love to hear your feedback on it!

Best Regards,

Omicron

#332920 Compressed's Suggestions

Posted by Flight Risk on 22 January 2020 - 02:08 AM

Bosses/PVM:

  • KQ attack speed slower, I believe it is way to fast considering it hits 90% of the time, it will make the boss much easier to kill as it shouldnt be that annoying to kill and its a great boss for Iron Men to kill.
  • Dusk and Dawn should each count as 1 kill towards the slayer task as OSRS does.
  • Slayer Cape Perk

daab71489a5a6f0537d6e75e48182bc6.png

  • Having Kraken actually work as it does in OSRS with the 4 tentacles and needing the best mage Defence you have to kill it
  • Duo Slayer is great and is some what beneficial but I think it could be better, when a team is doing duo slayer they should have a chance at a "supply crate" dropping and giving them various drops inside the crate such as herbs, potions etc.

COSMETIC:

  • A metamorphic dust in the slayer shop that has the ability to change the Penance Queen into the various monsters in barbarian assault

b6b6a3a16f271a4dd67f7dac0962fa3a.png

  • For GIM Players give them the ability to change their yell tag to a unique custom tag that represents their group
  • Twisted Vision slayer helmet (Twisted Leagues reward) add twisted horns to the slayer shop to give the slayer helmet a new look

9d553daf174d84f8d94a6a651f9c9352.png

QOL:

  • Add bank "Tags" where you can tag an item in your bank for certain uses like tagging a rake for farming runs or a void set for raiding (I am well aware this is a runelite add on)

SORRY THE IMAGES ARE SO BIG I COULDN'T FIND SMALLER ONES.

#331570 Lovakite Ores&Bars | Ability to craft shayzien.

Posted by GIM Flex on 14 January 2020 - 04:37 AM

What is your suggestion?: Lovakite Bars

Is this in OSRS?: Yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not that I'm aware of.

How would this benefit Alora?: A new way of getting shayzien gear, due to recent achievement updates and currently only can get shayzien through daily points.

lovakite bar is a bar of refined lovakite ore. This is done by using a lovakite ore and 2 pieces of coal at the Lovakite furnace in the centre of Lovakengj, granting 20 Smithing experience.

It can be smelted with a Smithing level of 45 and 30% Lovakengj favour. Smithing Tier 1 Shayzien armour yields approximately 0.136% favour per bar, while smithing Tier 5 Shayzien armour yields approximately 0.682% favour per bar.

This bar cannot be smelted in a normal furnace. If players try, it'll say it's not the right temperature. Players must use the "Lovakite furnace" just south of the blast mining bank (accessible instantly by using Xeric's talisman to teleport to Xeric's Inferno). However, the Superheat Item spell will work as normal.

As well as adding Tier soldiers to the combat ring!

The Combat ring is where one challenges each tier soldier to obtain the respective tier Shayzien armour.

The soldiers can be challenged into a duel where only Melee is allowed, as they do not want to fight with Ranged and that the Arceuus wizards do Magic combat. To start, challenge the lowest ranked soldier. Be aware that deaths are not safe here, however you can run out of the arena if your hp gets low. When the soldier falls at 0 health, they are defeated and will drop a piece of their armour for them. Once a full set of that tier is obtained, you may fight the next ranked soldier. You can fight the other soldiers again if you want duplicates, provided that you have an armour set one tier lower, the same armour they are using, or higher.

#331269 [12/1/20] Achievement diaries, Magic wardrobe, Armour cases & more!

Posted by Omicron on 12 January 2020 - 12:11 AM

Hotfixes [12/1/20]

  • Bugs fixed:
    • Achievements:
      • Auto-completing achievements now work properly for the following:
        • Complete Dragon slayer II
        • Purchase Fancy stone for house
        • Purchase house
        • Complete the Inferno
        • (Ironman only) Stake 50m
      • The achievement which required you to make a Rune crossbow in Yanille bank was working in other areas and has been fixed to only work in Yanille.
      • The Brimhaven mine 30 gold ore achievement now works at the north mine as well.
      • Ava's accumulator achievement will now auto-complete if you have it already (or the assembler).
      • Ironmen can now access the Achievement shop.
    • Entering a raid (CoX/ToB) said it required 1100 total level but would not work until you reached 1101 total level. This has been fixed.
  • Monkey removal:
    • Monkeys that are equipped will now be unequipped on login unless you have all achievements completed.

Hello everyone,

We're extremely excited to announce that the new Achievement diaries are now live! As our first update of 2020, we made sure to make it worthwhile. Hop right in and start checking off the task lists on your diaries to enjoy the new rewards. There's a boatload of new perks and rewards to enjoy, so have a look below before you decide which diaries to tackle first.

We've also expanded the Costume room with Magic wardrobes and Armour cases, giving our UIM (and seasoned players) further storage convenience.

Aside from that, we've fixed some persistent bugs and added some QoL updates that we're sure will improve your gameplay.

We'll let you have a look for yourself:

  • Achievements:
    • Achievement Diaries:
      • We've entirely removed our old achievement system and replaced it with one more similar to OSRS's Achievement Diaries, which contains region-based tasks.
        • Of course, we've adapted the tasks to better fit Alora, as some simply wouldn't be applicable.
        • There are 12 different regions, and each region contains 4 types of tasks (easy, medium, hard and elite) which each have their own rewards upon successful completion:
          • Ardougne
