As stated above by everybody else this will devalue items and devalue the point of making enough money to use said items.

I see a way of people manipulating the system to steal peoples items happening from this update if it were to pass.

While I very much like the sound of the effects that come with these items, I feel they would be forgotten about by a big majority in the long run, causing it to be dead content and a waste of development time.  

by a majority of the normal players but for ironmen not really, There is no use for silver or the other gems so this gives an alternative for them to use for Experience and additional benefits from items.
