(Note to readers, I am currently an uber donator, however the rank is bugged and you have to pay 15 points to cancel a task, so I asked Omicron to move me down to legendary as to allow me to slay without issue for the time being)

 

 

@uTorrent, You're claiming that the larger issue is that players such as achieved uber, while only losing ~5-10m per bond. In the end, it probably cost me around 1.5b for uber, and lots of time trying to buy those bonds. Even the slightest change from my set price of 30m per bond, such as paying 31m per bond would result in an extra 250m loss. Please keep that in mind as you continue to read.

 

It would require at a minimum, 7.5b to outright buy the 250 bonds required. As you can see, players like myself are forced to sell mys boxes, and other donor items in order to re-invest back into bonds. This is a much harder process than many people are led to believe (esp when people undercut you 24/7)

 

This is because mystery box prices are determined by the market. The market and economy determine the prices - why is that an issue?

 

  • You altering the point cost for mystery boxes does absolutely nothing, the market would adjust accordingly.

 

If it is worth it to get uber (good benefits...), bonds go up in price (and the competition to buy bonds increases, along with a surplus of mystery boxes, mithril seeds, and prayer scrolls into the game as a result (then those items drop in price and the players buying bonds lose more profit)

 

 

Uber was "cheap" for me because I was the first person to fully commit to doing it before I had competition. Players within TNG were purposely holding off from buying bonds so that it wouldn't be as difficult for me to get.

It's a no brainer, revert it to how it was. All you did was make it so staff have to middleman donations. If you disagree with my post, please quote me or pm me on the forums for a more in depth explanation on basic economics (not meant to be flame). Lastly - the premise of making mystery boxes untradeable still leaves prayer scrolls/mithril seeds as the next item(s) for you to tackle.

Syntax is a smart person and knows how to reason with sound logic. I do not have anything else to comment on this issue as Syntax said it wonderfully.

How is it unacceptable to have bad rng? It's the core of pvming. This server boasts of being very similar to OSRS so it's vital that we have same drop rates as well. Also for the sake of consistency it should be kept the same.

 

It's obvious this suggestion was made as a result of bad rng, no support.

My friend, bad RNG is not the issue here. I am not salty about bad rng, I am salty because Corp keeps getting messed with and it's becoming worse and worse. The server has been out for well over 3 months and there is 1 active Elysian Spirit Shield in the game. Trust me man, bad rng is the least of my worries here:

I am looking out for the community, as well as my clan that has put in a disgusting amount of hours/kills for no rewards. It takes 2-3 inventories to solo corp right now and the drop rates are like OSRS. We take pride in being similar to OSRS, not the same. As stated above, if I wanted to grind for a sigil with standard drop rates, I would go get my void on OSRS and camp there instead.

To whomever it may concern, 

 

As it stands, Corporeal Beast drop rates are on par with Old School Runescape. 

 

There is a 1 in 585 chance of hitting the sigil drop table. When players hit the table, there is a 1 in 7 chance of obtaining an Elysian Sigil, a 3 in 7 chance of a Spectral Sigil and a 3 in 7 chance of an Arcane Sigil. Since the update, Corporeal Beast has become dead content. Corporeal Beast was buffed and the drop-rates were made more difficult. Now, maybe my math is terrible, but TNG camped and killed well over 3,000 Corporeal Beasts post-update and received no sigil drops. This is unacceptable.

 

I do not wish to see a flood of Elysian Sigils come into the game, but I also don't want to spend my entire 3 days off, grinding 10 hours a day of Corp just to get a Holy Elixir or two. This is a very big problem. I understand that the item is prestigious BECAUSE of the fact that they are so hard to get, but you're turning the community away from the boss at all by making the drop-rates similar to OSRS. If people wanted to get an Elysian Sigil with Osrs rates, they would go buy a cheap spear and take void to OSRS and get one themselves for 600M Oldschool GP. 

 

My suggestion is simple: 

  • Lower the drop-rates a noticeable amount. 

This is a private server, not Oldschool RS. There is currently 1 active Elysian Spirit Shield in the game and it belongs to I 074 I. Blank will never sell his and the other one is on an account of a former Alora player. Please Omicron,

Thank you for these updates. If you could please clear up the Corporeal Beast part that would help a large portion of the community. As it stands, you say that the Drop Rates were changed to match OSRS. If that is the case, then the drop-rates have gotten harder? Please elaborate because there is still a lot of confusion up in the air. Thank you!

I support the Max Cape features and Completionist Cape.

However, I do not support all those teleports under the Max Cape's right click option. It makes right clicking on the object a bit cluttered and annoying. 

I also do not support the merge of all CCs. There are clans and other sub-communities like the Lithuanian CC that people enjoy being in. Also, I don't think 500+ players can be in one CC at the same time. It would be nice for everyone to be in one CC, but that is simply not the case here.
