Open Casket

This may trigger some Older Realism players, like myself from when this game mode first released @Real Alan I'm looking at you

Realism is a 2x Game mode, with it's own separate economy, between Realisms. But if you play it you already know that..

I've been on and off in recent years but I've always tried to stay true to the Account that here on Alora I have put the most time into.

Since coming back recently it just feels like a dead game mode, and I say this because of the following reasons.

- Trade post is dead,  no matter what you're trying to sell, whether it's in-demand items, skilling resources, nothing sells. nothing to buy except for overpriced items that were listed months ago.

- I listed a few things over a week ago, yet on recent listings they are still at the top. So what is now the point of it's separate economy now that the game mode has gone "Dead"?

- Not many Realism players? I think this is the main reason why this is happening, what's the appeal on playing this game mode anymore when you can get any account now on a 4x exp rate?

- It feels like I'm playing an Ironman even though I'm not, sure I could reach out to other realism players, but there aren't that many around anymore, especially late game?

So I guess what I'm trying to put out there is there anything that we can do to revive this game mode?

- Merged Trades with Normies and Classics? Yes Realism items have their values but there's not longer much of a point in this because hardly anyone plays, instead resources and Gear now just becomes scarce because everyone who does play just keeps hold of them, because there's no one to sell them to...

- Maybe some sort of extra bonuses to playing this game mode? (Drop rates, clue rates, discounts on certain things?) Not sure where I'd go with this one but there's got to be something that can set it apart from other modes, what is there for new players anymore to be like "This is the mode for me" because ATM I don't think there is anything..

This post is completely my opinion and completely open for discussion for all of us, but in my eyes I'm just putting in my "Two cents" and seeing what options, views, etc are out there on this subject.

Agree with what @Ivy said, don't let the staff control the Eco, but an alternative is very needed, god knows how they'll do that?

The title says it all, I'm looking to freshen up my time here on Alora, Maxxing will come eventually and all of the clues that my account was set up for will also come eventually.

That being said I'd like a couple of suggestions for goals to complete, it can be a sole Collection log section, or an overall goal, absolutely anything. Hit me up on this post, and I shall go and complete it

I'll make a list and a new thread once each goal is complete, be as brutal or as nice as you want!

Go!

Hi guys, my name is Josh, I'm 25, I have a daughter, and I'm returning to Alora for the 10th time (You never leave lol)

I play realism with 57 days game time, Realism Clue King? and hoping to rebuild/get back on the grind to maxxing and filling in those collection log slots, feel free to add me I'm always up for new people to play with.

Much love Alorians

Congratulations everyone who won an award!

Do you agree to all of Paragon & Alora's Official Rules?: Yes

Reason for applying to Paragon?: I haven't been with a clan for some time, I'm getting back into Alora lately and would like to join up with some new faces!

Referred by a Clan Member (Who?):  N/A (Seen an advertisement on yell)

I support, I'd like Clue hiscores and Boss hiscores too!

I'd agree with reducing the timers, if you're soloing and want the make the most out of the time you can be there, then a QoL like this would be great!

Holy crap that Kc! Now take a chill and enjoy the rest of the game!

The newspaper is always well planned out and a great read, good job @A !

Although this isn't in osrs, maybe this is a nice custom QoL that wont hurt to be put into the game, these would be nice additions and would get people grinding for every pet!

Gratz on the Blowpipe! Nice grind!

Ayy welcome back, time to hit that clue grind together again pog

Lets go brother!

Hello, just wanted to make a formal post letting you know I'm back After a long month of sorting out my stressful home life I can get back to the grind, time to hit 1k total clues
