#485141 Alora's Money Making Guide (2024)
Posted by Yautja on 26 April 2024 - 07:41 AM
Note: Prices can change, these are the prices at the time the guide is being made. If you have any other ideas or tips please feel free to share.Starting OutThe first and most important thing you should be doing is voting and selling the vote books you receive. They sell for about 5M a pop and it's a fantastic way to start from scratch or as a new player. You can vote every 12 hours.Once you have sold the books, go to ::shops and buy some equipment and supplies. Make sure you have some cash left over to buy dragon bones from the trading post(2k each). You need about 100 dragon bones for 99 prayer on a normal account. Ask someone to use their POH altar.SlayerNow that your account is ready for some training, use the equipment and supplies you bought earlier to train slayer.Make sure to loot all Caskets and Ensouled heads as this is the primary source of cash from Slayer. As you earn more and more money, try and buy gear upgrades such as an abyssal whip, amulet of fury and Dragon boots. Unlock untradeables such as the Dragon Defender from Warriors Guild, the Fighter Torso from Pest Control, and Barrows Gloves from the Recipe for Disaster quest.Alora EventsEvents are hosted during Weekdays(Wednesday & Thursday) and Weekends(Friday, Saturday, Sunday). To familiarise yourself with the types of events hosted on Alora, read this thread. If you manage to get lucky and win an event or two, you can make over 100M from less than an hours work. It's important to note that you will need your own equipment to participate in tournaments, but you could ask an Event Manager to loan you some gear such as a Dharok's set for the Dharok's tournament, or a whip for the Whip/DDS tournament. An Event schedule for the entire month is posted at the beginning of every month which you can find here.Event Threads are posted a day in advance to let the community know what types of events will be hosted. Here's an example.SkillingAt the beginning I said to sell vote books as you get them. If you feel like you have a decent amount of cash to the point where you don't need to sell your books, you can save and open them (enable ;;2fa before you open the vote books or else you wont get any points). The vote shop has some great skilling equipment such as the Rogue's Outfit which can be used to receive double loot from pickpocketing. This effect is usually taken advantage of at Vyrewatches (82 Thieving) and Elves(85 Thieving) to acquire double Blood shards and Enhanced Teleport Crystals which sell for around 60M and 30M each respectively.Puro Puro is a hunter area swarmed with many implings. It is highly recommended to catch the Dragon Implings and Lucky Implings. Dragon Bones, Dragon Darts, Dragon Arrows and Ranger Boots can all be sold to players for some great cash. Items such as Dragon Longswords and Mystic armour pieces can be high alched.Early/Mid Tier PVMThese money makers can be taken advantage of by players with a lack of knowledge of PVM encounters.Vyrewatches can be AFK'd with high prayer bonus if you have stuff to do outside of Alora, or simply want to play other games. I have made over 1B from caskets alone.Phantom Muspah is a great money maker too because the Venator Shards are quite common, and even the Ancient Essence sells for about 2-3k each.Godwars bosses except for Zamorak are fairly easy and honestly good money especially if you have 2 alts with prayer bonus gear to tank for you.If you know how to do Gauntlet its one of the best ways to make money in my opinion, you don't need any supplies or gear to enter the boss, you simply just need quest points and 70s in some stats. guide here.Armour seeds sell for about 80M and the Enhanced Weapon Seed sells for 400M+. Gauntlet is a great way to start PVM as it introduces you to prayer switching, item switching and movement.Desert Treasure 2 bosses (Mostly Duke and Vardorvis) are a great way to make money, you do NOT need very high level gear for either boss, Awakener's Orbs are consistent money and sell for roughly 30M. Both rings from these bosses are very expensive and of course Virtus prices are dependant on what the trading post is selling them for really so you'd have to check yourself.Demonic gorillas can be a great way to make money but I suggest doing these yourself to make your own Zenyte Jewellery. Once you have your own, you can kill more Gorillas and sell the shards.Skotizo is a great way to make money. Skotizo spawns every 30-45 minutes in various wilderness locations, and can drop Zenyte Jewellery as well as Archaic emblems that you can either sell in the Trading Post, or turn in to the Emblem Trader north of Edgeville bank for PKP and Cash.Bloody keys spawn around the wilderness at random places and sell fairly often at around 4-5m each, opening the bloody key chest is not worth it even if the keys are free in my opinion. Read this guide to familiarise yourself.Supply chests spawn around the wilderness at random places which can be opened for some great loot as well. You will need 112 Combat Level and 1M risk to open these. They are by far the most active wilderness activity when it spawns, so try to loot these when the server is less populated. If you are familiar with Pking and escaping OR you have fast reaction times, Revenants are a great money maker. Player Killers usually like to run through the caves and kill pvmers so be alert at all times.Endgame PVMThese money makers are for more experienced players, as you'll need some knowledge to kill these consistently.Nex is probably the best money maker in the game if you account for the fact kills only take roughly 4 minutes in trios with best in slot gear. Torva Platelegs alone sell for around 2B.Tombs of Amascut at level 400 invocation is up there with the best money makers in the entire game. It doesn't rely heavily on Donator rank like Chambers of Xeric does, and you don't need the best equipment in the game as long as you know what you're doing. Considering most drops from tombs are expensive all you need is 1 drop and since tombs isnt as reliant on your rank, its the best one to grind for money if you like doing Raids.Theatre of Blood is the second best choice for raids but it's second in my opinion because you need a team to be able to do this raid and on alora teams can be hard to come by especially if you are new in the community.Chambers is last but not least with good gear and some above average skill you can easily complete chambers runs in roughly 11-15 minutes which is very good times for solo, I suggest not spending too much time doing chambers since donator rank has a huge effect on purple chances. It's worth to do on bonus with boosters though.Massive shoutout to @H for formatting the post and making it look good

#481296 Leagues III Feedback
Posted by Omicron on 18 March 2024 - 12:30 PM
Hello everyone,
With the recent release of our third Alora Leagues tournament, we're really excited to hear everyone's feedback about the mode, what they think about it, and how we can improve your experience. We'd like to hear any feedback you have regarding changes that can be made in any and all ways to improve the League. This includes changes to tasks (Ex: reduce 25 Master clue collection log slots to 15), as well as even adding new tasks that would be a fun challenge for players.
We're also looking to hear your feedback about balancing relics that may be underpowered or overpowered. We've expanded this league to include two new regions (Karamja and Desert), and we want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible, so if there is any content in these areas that is missing to improve the game mode (eg. Perhaps Desert Treasure pyramid access?), let us know and we'll implement it given that it can be done within a reasonable time frame.
We are also open to the idea of extending the League game mode access for longer, so let us know if that is something you'd be interested, and how long you'd like the League to last for. We would still very likely end the tournament on April 5th (since we have already made a commitment to doing so), but the game mode itself can potentially remain accessible for longer if a majority of players are interested in continuing to play. The only thing to keep in mind is that League point transfers occur at the very end of the League, so the further we extend it, the longer it takes for all players to access their points.
We hope you're enjoying our third Leagues iteration, and we're looking forward to hearing your feedback!
Best Regards,
Omicron
Accepted Feedback
- League Extension:
- By popular demand, the League has been extended to be 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks — ending on April 26th rather than April 5th.
- The Tournament, however will still conclude at the scheduled date, which is April 5th at 7pm Eastern time.
- This gives players more time to earn points, but also means that the final League point transfer will occur a few weeks later than expected.
- By popular demand, the League has been extended to be 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks — ending on April 26th rather than April 5th.
#481130 Leagues Task List Spreadsheet
Posted by Ima Tuna Sub on 16 March 2024 - 06:37 AM
Good day Alorians,
I had this idea to create a spreadsheet that was a bit easier to see the tasks for the Leagues that are currently running.
So far, I hope everyone has enjoyed their time as much as I have. Although, after typing out 700+ tasks, I'm ready to get back into the game.
With that being said, below I will link the Google Spreadsheet - I just ask that you as the viewer role make a copy and make changes that way versus the actual file. (I've never done this before so if we have issues - I'll get it fixed as soon as possible.)
UPDATED LINK WITH GLOBAL TASKS CAN BE FOUND HERE:
Alora Leagues Task Checklist
ANOTHER UPDATE I NOTICED IN THE GLOBAL TAB - I DIDN'T CARRY CONDITIONAL FORMATTING THE FULL COLUMN FOR POINTS. (To fix, go to Global Tab, Ctrl+A, Format, Conditional Formatting, Change the Range from the D6:D254 to D6:D372)
Again, please let me know if there are any issues with this link or the spreadsheet at all.
Very Respectfully,
Tuna
#479970 Development Blog #17: Leagues 3
Posted by H on 25 February 2024 - 12:53 PM
Hello everyone!
For the past few weeks we have been working hard at something that has been highly requested for many months, which is of course Leagues 3!
For those unfamiliar with the idea of Leagues, it's quite simple. You make a new account that is locked to the island of Kourend and your goal is to complete as many tasks as you can in 6 weeks. Achieving certain point milestones allows you to unlock Relics, which are overpowered boosts to your account.
For those that are familiar with leagues and maybe even played our previous version of Leagues over 2 years ago, we have made some changes. First of all, we have unlocked two extra regions. Karamja will be unlocked at Tier 3, and the Desert will be unlocked at Tier 5. Regarding relics, we have decided to take the best from the previous OSRS Leagues to make sure that you have to think hard before you make a permanent choice.
Lastly, since this is a tournament, there will be some big prizes to reward the best of the best, both real-world and in-game. Points that you accumulate in the tournament can be spent on various cosmetics with the Leagues Tutor in Edgeville on the main game.
Now lets dive into some sneak peeks!
Now a little look at some of the in-game rewards you can purchase, assuming you've acquired enough points during the league.
We hope to see you enjoy our third edition of leagues in March!
Wishing you a great week,
Alora Staff Team

If I have a button to summon a thrall and I simultaneously want to cast death charge alongside that; I am still going to have to go into my spellbook and cast death charge when I could have just done both at once.
This is a non-issue, and as Shadow stated, just use F-keys for ease of access.

#480517 Alora Leagues 3.0 (Launching March 15th) - IRL & In-game Prizes!
Posted by Omicron on 05 March 2024 - 02:06 PM
Alora League 3.0 Information
Hello everyone,
Another league event is on the horizon! We're excited to announce that we're hosting our 3rd Alora League in just a few days! This League event introduces two new regions, Karamja & the Desert, and brings with it all-new in-game rewards. If you did not participate in either of the previous Leagues, here's the rundown:
On March 15th at 7pm Eastern Time, starting on fresh accounts that are locked to Zeah (with Desert and Karamja now unlockable), you'll be able to complete tasks and collect points. The players who have accumulated the most points by the end of the tournament will be awarded with some juicy prizes, including a PlayStation 5 for the top prize! There are also many other token prizes that can be won for the first players to accomplish certain tasks, such as obtaining Ranger boots. At the end of the tournament, players can spend their points on new, unique items from the Leagues reward shop.
Start date: March 15th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)
End date: April 5th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)
How does it work?
On March 15th, you'll be able to create a fresh account to participate in Leagues. This account will be wiped on April 5th and no items can be transferred off of it to a normal account, due to the increased drop rates on this game mode and other perks. Certain areas will be instanced, such as the Kourend Catacombs, to allow players to have a bit more space to train and compete. We are also instancing bosses such as Sarachnis to prevent overcrowding. While donator ranks do apply on these accounts, due to the account being permanently locked at the end of the tournament, at that point you will need to put in a request to transfer the total spent to one of your main Alora accounts -- no minimum amount applies on these transfers and the lowest donation rank can be transferred.
Top Alora cash prizes:- PlayStation 5
- AirPods Pro
- Logitech G935 Gaming Headset
- Logitech G502 Gaming Mouse
Top Alora Token prizes:
- First Twisted bow: 1,000 tokens
- First Tumeken's shadow: 1,000 tokens
- First to obtain Infernal cape: 1,000 tokens
- First to 200m exp in any skill: 1,000 tokens
- First 1,000-level Tombs of Amascut completion: 750 tokens
- First to obtain a Phoenix pet from Wintertodt: 750 tokens
- First to obtain a Tempoross pet: 750 tokens
- First to obtain any boss pet: 750 tokens
- First to obtain any 3rd age piece: 750 tokens
- First to complete a Master difficulty task: 500 tokens
- First to complete a collection log entry: 250 tokens
Even if you don't receive one of the big cash prizes, there are plenty of reasons to play leagues! If you're feeling lucky, try your hand at a specific token prize, such as obtaining a Phoenix pet. You'll also have the ability to spend your points on many different in-game prizes at the end of the tournament, including previous League rewards and new alike, such as:
- Leagues Trophies
- Trailblazer Reloaded Banner
- Trailblazer Reloaded Relic Hunter Sets
- Trailblazer Reloaded Ornament Kits for the following items:
- Blowpipe
- Dinh's Bulwark
- Trailblazer Reloaded Home Teleport Scroll
- Trailblazer Reloaded Alchemy Scroll
- Trailblazer Reloaded Death Scroll
- Trailblazer Reloaded Rejuventation Pool Scroll
- Trailblazer Reloaded Vengeance Scroll
Notes:- The rules and prizes are subject to change based on availability.
- If a cash prize is unavailable in your country, an equivalent prize or amount via PayPal may be substituted.
- Winners of cash prizes can choose to receive Alora tokens and can receive 50% more by doing so.
We'll have more detailed information of this tournament on release day, but this thread should give you a basic outline of what's to come. We hope you guys are just as excited for the start of our third Alora League!
Best,
Omicron
#439950 Exclude afk'ing from Multi-log rule / Clarify the rule
Posted by
Tamber on 06 September 2022 - 11:54 PMI think that there's a massive flaw with rule 9 (multi-logging).
Taken directly from the ::rules thread, the entire purpose of the rule is to prevent unfair advantages over other players in the game. I get it. That's understandable and I support the rule. However, and correct me if I'm wrong, there doesn't seem to be any rationale behind limiting players to a maximum of 3 connections, specifically if 3 of those accounts aren't even able to interact with each other, by game design.
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that I would be risking a bank wipe or other punishment if I wanted to play a solo 3-man (HC)GIM while bank-standing on my main @ ::dz or edge bank or even playing on that account as well. For clarity, the purpose of doing a 3-man vs. a 2-man group would be to be on the highscores. This is just one example, but there are others as well.
I know a lot of people don't play this way and because of that it might not garner a lot of support, but I think I bring up a valid point.
Thx
