Castle Wars by far one of my favorite minigames mainly because it was the OG pvp minigame in old runescape but unless we had a huge reward system to encourage it i doubt people would play it. However Last Man Standing is a gamemode for people to pickup any time and could be way more reliable for active participations, also in terms of events Last Man Standing could bring a lot more interesting games and tournaments for people to enjoy.

As most of you already know, for some time now we have been working towards bringing Raids to Alora. We have been working day in and day out since starting our mission and we are glad to show off just a piece of what we have in store! Omicron has put in countless hours striving only for the best for the people of Alora and hopefully we can finish the raids and have them out to you guys asap! This weekend we hosted a few events to in a sense open the curtains for everyone inside and outside of our community. 

 

When we release the raids you will have to do the full dungeon these videos are just teaser fights on the final boss Olm.

 

Saturday's Raid Event

 

For all who wished to participate we opened the the doors to Xeric for all to slay the mighty Raid dragon Olm. Doing so close to 100 people showed up for battle and it was a battle for sure. The more players that are in the raid the higher the raid scales, we disabled loot for this event as it was only a part of the raid to come.

 

 

This event was held purely as a teaser/tester for the community, it was placed into the game missing a few updates so the footage you are seeing may change mechanically when we implement the full version of raids into the game.

 

 

8 Man Raid ft. Youtubers

 

On our beta servers we had some fun with a small team doing raids, it was tough but we still managed to kill Olm in roughly 12 minutes. Shoutout to Ziclone and ShieldsVids for participating. I definitely prefer the smaller team raids over the bigger team raids it is much more competitive and heart racing. Hope to see you all try the raids when we release them ingame!

 

 

I appreciate you all for attending the events and we can't wait to release the completed version of the full raids to you guys asap! Can you beat our time? Good luck on your raid loots and raid competitions!
 

 

Update : All the raid weapons and gear previously in the Alora Store has been removed and will only be accessible through raids.

With the most recent update including the buff towards skotizo, i thought it was a good idea to put out a basic guide. For the time it will be pretty basic but all important info will be displayed. Let me know what you think of the update and hope you enjoy the new boss mechanics!

Blood Key

The Blood Key is forged by combining an Ancient Key with Crystal blood. Both of these items are rare drops from the Crystal monsters located above. If killed it will be lost on death and the player killer will recieve a Ancient Key. Both the Crystal Blood and Blood Key are untradeable and will disappear on death. The Chest is Located in Rogues Den, in 54 wilderness. Once opening the Rogues Chest, the world will know that a player has opened the chest as it will be announced. Within the chest there are 60 different unique items that can be obtained. A list of a few note able ones include;

  • Any tier emblem
  • Noted anglerfish, dark crabs, super combat potions, etc
  • Malediction/odium shards
  • Mysterious emblems (t2-10)
  • Ahrims or Dharoks set
  • Bounty teleport scroll
  • Fremennik rings
  • Godswords
  • Arcane spirit shield
  • Donators have a better chance to hit the rare loot table:
  • Regular: 5%
  • Super: 7.5%
  • Extreme: 10%
  • Legendary: 14%
  • Uber: 18%

Dark Altar

Known as the Skotizo Altar, it is located in 44 wilderness known as the Demonic Ruins. The main use for the altar is to spawn your own skotizo using an item to sacrifice called the Dark Totem. You may only spawn a Skotizo through altar once every 12 hours and once spawned any player can also attack the monster or you since it is located in multi wilderness.

The Dark Totem can be combined by forging the totem pieces earned from the Kourend Catacombs, and is used to sacrifice to spawn a personal Skotizo.

The Ancient Shards are drops from the Kourend Catacombs and is used to teleport to World Boss Skotizo spawns with a message you see like below.

Hey friends, 

 

I would like to start off by saying that we appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions lately and we are reaching that point where we are able to reach more and more suggestions that we can implement in the game. These polls are a few updates we would like to bring into the game but we want to hear your opinion on them first, we would greatly appreciate for you to fill out the poll and then write down below any related ideas on the topic :)
 

 

Gambling Interface:

 
With the introduction of Gambling we have received some positive feedback on it and would like to improve on it. We want to poll a gambling interface similar to dueling arena stake screens but improved for the better. We want to insure the safest and most satisfying experience possible.  

 

*Duel arena interface similar to OSRS will be added soon*

 

Pros:

  • Visual upgrade and cosmetically appealing
  • Should be safer, as both players need to offer up their Gamble to accept
  • Rules will require accept from both sides to begin the Gamble
  • Less Scams and a lower chance of interference 

 

Cons:

  • Middle Man and Ranks could become useless
  • Player owned and Player controlled
  • Can take longer for people to confirm or put up their Gambles

 

200m Master Capes:

 

As more and more players reach the max total level we need more end game content to appease the mass. We hope that if we allow 200m capes to be a update it can give more incentive for players to skill to the max and enjoy the experience and road trip to hitting that almighty max experience. We are constantly looking for updates to improve all features of the game and if you guys have any other suggestions that we can implement please use our Suggestions section on the forums!

 

Pros:

  • Gives end game skillers/pvmers another way to enjoy the game
  • Cosmetics to show how nerdy you are :)
  • Another grind for the grinders
     

Cons:

  • Unnecessary update that might only affect the select few who grind for it
  • Cosmetic so it will not give any stats

 

Skotizo Buff (poll on Mysterious Emblems):

 

With more and more pvp updates coming we want to also improve the main boss for wilderness. In doing so we hope to improve the community for Clans and Teams around focusing fighting areas. With that in mind we hope that buffing skotizo drop table we can provide a place for those teams to have some real action and make their time worth the effort! Teams clashing out in a full out war over the loots that skotizo provides seems to be a positive idea.

 

Updates to skotizo will include:

The top 3 damage dealers to skotizo will recieve loot (from highest damage dealer to lowest)

Loot table buff including high tier armors/weapons and high tier pvp supplies

A temp fix is ingame atm, if you arent put in one it will shuffle you to atleast 4 others. Once we fix clan chat it will increase in size and other things!

General Info:

If you have a bugged clue step it is likely due to you using HD mode.

To fix the issue for now, just disable HD so you are able to view the clue step.

Runelite is now implemented and has a Clue Scroll plugin, would highly recommend enabling this for clues.
