Hello, Today I finally achieved the unthinkable for myself which is Maxing the Realism gamemode. After countless hours of blood, sweat and some tears we've done it. After maxing all the other gamemodes I set myself to this goal to max this account. At first I was super hesitant to joining and starting my journey on Realism. At first it was brutal, training up from ground up with such a slow rate, I was half tempted to call it quits prior to 500 total level. Once I got a groove moving and had my daily routines it went by quite smoothly actually. Just doing this grind I learned not only so many hidden tricks and secrets about Runescape, whether that being using Summer pies to do the next agility course earlier or using dodgy necklaces while pickpocketing. Aside from learning about the game just the friendships I've made through the journey and from all the players (you know who you are) helped make it happen, thank you! Realism is definitely not for everyone but it totally is worth while at least giving it a shot to see if it's right for you. 

 

(If I'm correct this is the fastest to max the Realism Gamemode)

My goal with this account was to play very efficiently being using as many skill bonuses I could when training a skill or logging out when I have to do something IRL for 30 seconds just to save that 30 seconds of time. (Ikr i'm a nerd)

 

Here are just a few snippets I have left after my old discord being bricked where majority of my progress was stored. 

 

The range grind.. It wasn't terrible it was just the fact having to stay accessible to pc to drink prayer pots when camping Maniacals. Also just a highlight of some NPC's I camped for slayer xp.

Didn't do much bossing on the account as I mentioned above I was going for speed and efficiency for this account. 

 

2 Nests away from the Legendary 20 nest birdhouse run! A fun little competition @Real Alan and @Real Denmark had going on. Still trying on my main!

 

What 99 agility took for the most part. (95% of my runs were on God bonus Xp, Bonus sever xp, Vote book + Well.) 

 

Lastly, with the new recent update @Omicron pumped out, when doing Mahogany tables in your POH there is a zero tick response time when removing your builds so it speeds up your Xp/Hr tremendously. 

 

 

As for those curious on my furture goals, I will probably just be chill playing the game on my main, J boogs completing Collection Log and pets before I soon yet think of another grind to pursue to keep myself preoccupied. I also need to finish up maxing my Hardcore Ironman which is 2052 total level.

Bogos out 

Here is a compiled list of all of the different boosts Alora has to offer in-game

 

Activity Boosters

*Note; All boosters are able to be used onto Ironman accounts from a Normal account and or purchased from the Alora ;;store on any game mode account. 

 

Raid booster

Provides +35% boost to points gained in both the Theatre of Blood and Chambers of Xeric for 1 hour duration. 

 

 

 

 

 

Pet Booster

Provides a +25% higher chance of receiving a pet from bosses, skilling or minigame pets for 30 minute duration. 

 

 

 

 

Drop Booster

Provides a +15% higher chance of a rare drop from all monsters of any level, bosses and raid drops for 30 minute duration. 

 

 

 

 

Gauntlet Booster

Provides a +25% higher chance of obtaining rare loot from The Gauntlet for 60 minute duration. (This obtains to The Corrupted Gauntlet as well)

 

 

 

 

Clue Booster

Provides a +20% chance of obtaining super rare items from clue scrolls for 60 minute duration.

Stat Boosts

 

Botanical Pie

Provides a +4 Herblore stat boost. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

Mushroom Pie

Provides a +4 Crafting stat boost. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

Dragonfruit Pie

Provides a +4 Fletching stat boost. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

Wild Pie

Provides a +4 Ranged level boost and a +5 Slayer boost.

 

Garden Pie

Provides a +3 Farming stat boost. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

Fish Pie

Provides a +3 Fishing stat boost. You have 60 seconds per level.

Admiral Pie

Provides a +5 stat boost in the Fishing skill. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

(Unfortunately you cannot make pies in-game at the moment so the best course to getting pies is through Scorpia.)

 

Summer Pie

Provides a +5 stat boost in the Agility skill. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

 

(Best way to obtain pies is through either Cerberus, Bree, Growlers, or Starlights.)

 

Spicy Stew (+5) 

Provides a +5 stat boost to a random skill chosen within that color selected. You have 60 seconds per level.

 

 

(Please note it will only boost one random skill within whatever color column you choose)

 

 

Bonus Experiences

Note; All of the boosts mentioned below can be stacked on top of each other for a larger multiplier.

 

Well of Goodwill

Provides a +30% experience boost to all normal players and Ironmen server wide whenever 50m has been put into the well for a 90 minute duration. 

 

Note; Realism players only receive a +15% experience boost from this bonus.

 

Wilderness Bonus Experience

Once you have been above 25+ wilderness level for more than 2 minutes a +30% experience boost will activate and will deactivate once you leave the wilderness or go below 25 wilderness level.

 

 

 

God Event Bosses

Roughly every ~3 hours 3 bosses spawn at ;;event, you can receive a +30% experience boost per boss but they typically will all 3 be killed.

 

Shooting Star 

The first player to click on the shooting star once it's landed will receive a big chunk of free mining experience. 

The shooting star lands roughly every ~1-2 hours and can be checked through your POH in your Study room by looking through a Mahogany Telescope.

 

 

(For perspective a Normie gets ~200k mining experience when the Well of goodwill is active.)

 

Skill of the Day

Last but not least, don't forget to be checking the daily Skill of the day bonus because this is another +30% experience boost in that specific skill.

How would this benefit Alora?:

 

   My suggestion is to allow Falador hard diary to give the ability to pay the tanner to tan noted D'hides for 1.7k-5k gp (just a range to think about since this isn't in osrs) per noted D'hide.

 

Currently the Desert hard diary gives the ability to make unf pot from Zahur for 1750 coins per noted vail of water and clean herb 1:1

I have tanned lots of D'hides on my realism I know the pain haha in knowing how annoying it is etc. I also know how much of a quality of life this would be for this to be added to the next update!

It would allow ironman / realist the ability to obtain split bark armor.

 

 

Notes:

 

Only way I know of to get bark is from vyrewatch / vyrewatch sentinel max of 8 /10 noted bark from respected npc drop table. In order to kill them you would need base 70 in most stats to get access to Darkmeyer making it even harder to get bark for lower xp rate ironman. Item requirements to craft are as followed: 11 bark, fin cloth and 77k coins once you have the items required you take them to the un named wizard on the second floor of the wizard tower.

I wasn't going to make one of these, but I've been MIA for a while now so I think I owe it to this lovely community. I've been going through a lot IRL recently, and on top of this I do not really have a passion for RS at the moment. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for making my experience that much more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has added value to Alora through their presence, and a special thank you to our staff team who work very hard in keeping everything a float. Also I want to thank all our previous staff members for all the effort and time they have put in as well, as I've worked alongside a lot of you. I also want to apologize to anyone I may have upset/wronged, and I hope that you can forgive me. It was a real pleasure, and I hope that Alora continues to thrive! Thank you to our lovely developers Chad & Dan who work day and night on improving our lovely home known as Alora. Most of all, thank you to @Lowkey who has stuck around for 4 years and kept Alora going even through the hardest of times.
