#414667 Pie boosts

Posted by CLASSICSIEG on 27 October 2021 - 08:01 PM

What is your suggestion?: Add pie boosts to the game

Is this in OSRS?: Yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?:

As of right now, the only pie in the game is the summer pie. This acts as an agility boost.

The only alternate way to obtain skilling boosts is spicy stews, which are never guaranteed to roll the correct stat - and are very limited as a vote reward. modes that cant trade are restricted to one per day.

Currently there are no uses (besides eat) in game for the following:

1. Dragonfruit

2. Golovanova fruit top

3. Strawberry

4. Watermelon

5. Cooking apple

6. Tomato

7. Onion

8. Cabbage

Every time I complete a farm run with these items, I just drop them. Why not add something that would make them usable? especially the dragonfruit, it feels like a waste to drop them.

Before you ask, yes the Golovanova fruit top is obtainable from fruit stalls in Kourend. Have tested this myself.

Community response

I have asked the community about this topic in chat with very few responses, some say "just grind the level 4head".

What these regular ironmen fail to understand is that with the lower exp rate game modes (such as classic, realism or EIM), "just getting the level" can be an excruciating task to complete.

Benefits more than just grind

I would also like to add this would benefit the future of achievement diaries, as a whole completing hard/elite tasks is very counter intuitive. By the time you have the correct level to complete certain tasks, the perk/item you receive has little or no value to you whatsoever (besides things like elite void or noted bar drops).

Summary

With summer pies already being coded into the game, it only makes sense the others come along with it.

This implementation would NOT be as useful for high exp game modes like Normies or Reg Irons, I understand this. Consider it more of a QOL for lower exp modes.
