Man, where do I begin...

These past few years have been absolutely crazy. 

Being a part of the Alora community has been such an amazing journey, I've managed to meet so many amazing individuals along the way that I can truly say I'll miss. Along my journey, I had been fortunate enough to be a part of not only an amazing community called ICE, but also the Alora staff team for almost 2 years. I want to thank all the boys in the team for allowing me an opportunity to work along side you, I can honestly say I gave it my best shot and tried to be fair when situations arised. The countless hours behind the scenes was an absolute eye opener, and to all the boys in the staff team, keep on grinding and best of luck.

85 Days game played with little to no AFK/bank standing. With 2 kids, Fiancé, a full time job and trying to stay actively fit for the kids, is something I'm proud of, however this wouldn't have been possible without everyone here, you all made me want to log in each and every day, what an amazing community.

Life is ever changing, and as responsibilities and priorities shift, as well as new opportunities. It's my time to say goodbye. Thank you everyone for the countless hours of fun and genuine friendships that have been made.

This isn't goodbye, hopefully see you all in a year

This month we have a some good interviews from Dinosaur Boy & Ghost.

H: What have you been up to on Alora recently?

Dinosaur Boy: In the past month I've been working on my new HCIM. For those that don't know, this is my 27th HCIM on Alora and all I can say is... This is the one! I've finally started the Zulrah grind and hoping to be CoX ready within the next week so we can get the supplies to max! Fun fact: The name Dinosaur Boy, once this account dies, there will be no more HCs from me... ever, just like the Dinosaurs.

 

H: If you had the ability to add or remove a game mode on Alora, which would it be and why?

Dinosaur Boy: Every now and then you'll hear a conversation about HCUIM (Hardcore Ultimate Ironman). I would absolutely love for this to be implemented on Alora with a low XP rate such as x4. This would not only create an actual challenge between the community but also a flex once individuals get to the end game stage of the account. To add on to that, I would take implement that once you've lost your HC status, your account is locked and you'll need to start over once more.

 

H: What's your most memorable moment on Alora so far?

Dinosaur Boy: I would have to say, being featured on a @Steel Nogan video sniping/calling a derwin pet off the master himself!

 

H: Are there any movies or TV series that you can recommend to the readers?

Dinosaur Boy: Recently I've been super addicted to the series Zoo, Falling Skies, Prison Break and F1 Drive to survive. Movie wise you can't go wrong with Titanic, The Lion king and of course Cars :Kaciao:

 

H: If you had 24 hours to do anything you want with no repercussions, what would it be?

Dinosaur Boy: My answer as a father would be to rob a few crypto kings, sell it off and set up the kids/family for the future and pay off the mortgage. The more realistic answer would be to go ram raid a few breweries and set me and the boys up with some bevys

H: What have you been up to on Alora recently?

Ghost: Grinding towards comp currently, getting the 200m reqs done with fishing being the first completed. Working a little more during the summer and trying to enjoy myself as well so it seemed fitting to aim for some more laid back objectives. -

 

H: If you had the ability to add or remove a game mode on Alora, which one would it be and why?

Ghost: My honest opinion is we have enough game modes currently, but that's not to say Alora couldn't benefit from more in the future. I really enjoy the content during leagues and would love to see that make a return on a more consistent basis.

 

H: What's your most memorable moment on Alora so far?

Ghost: It's near impossible to narrow it down to a singular moment, I've been with the community since 2016 (Mag3rang3pk3/Fe Mag3 Fe) and real ones know there have been countless historical moments. One of my most memorable is the time I spent a part of the staff team back in 2018 - 2020ish, an absolutely solid team and one of the peaks of Alora in my opinion. I'd be mad at myself if I didn't include watching Paines eternal battle with a squirrel. -

 

H: Are there any movies or TV series that you can recommend to the readers?

Ghost: If you don't watch It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia you haven't discovered life yet. -

 

H: If you had 24 hours to do anything you want with no repercussions, what would it be?

Ghost: Remove everyones ability to Yell except for the PKers.

Welcome to the long awaited Alora's Cooking NPC. The npc that @Lowkey has pleaded to be added to the game for the past 4 years! Below you will find a breakdown of requirements / prices.

I would like to note that this npc will reward 0 experience for any fish cooked and is purely to speed up cooking for pvming/pking.

Suggesting its located at the Cooking Guild west of Varrock and East of Edgeville(this can be decided)

Normal player: 4,000gp per noted raw fish.

Donator: 3,750gp per noted raw fish.

Super donator: 3,500gp per noted raw fish.

Extreme donator: 3,250gp per noted raw fish.

Legendary donator: 3,000gp per noted raw fish.

Uber donator: 2,750gp per noted raw fish.

Master donator+: 2,500gp per noted raw fish.
 

Requirements: 

• Varrock Elite Diary completed
• Cooking Gauntlets.
• 100m xp in cooking skill achieved
  • ​The reason this is part of the requirement is because the Varrock Diary is one that is completed fairly easily and we want to make sure that this npc does not take away from the initial part of the game and must go through say a "probationary period" where you actually have to fish/cooking everything you obtain, and 100m was a fair milestone instead of saying 200m that everyone already gets.

2nd Proposed Requirements: 22/4/2023

• Varrock + Lumbridge & Draynor Elite Diaries Completed (Both)
• Cooking gauntlets equipped
• 99 Cooking
• Remove 100m cooking xp req from 1st proposed requirements
  • After discussion the 100m cooking xp req may be unfair for game modes such as realism/elite/classic to obtain. Instead the completion of 2 elite diaries that have high level REQ and locked behind quest completion is a fitting choice. As the person who mentioned this to me we also want to highlight the "Gold Sink" factor and make sure its accessible to increase its use, increasing how much gp it deletes.

Pros:

• More bossing, less cooking.
• Gold sink.

Cons:

• No xp gain.

Just ran a couple of ToB's since the latest update and it was utterely unplayable.

Whilst I agree that keeping true to OSRS is in everyones best interest but ToB is already dead content and updating to make Verzik practically impossible to hit unless you have a Scythe is making it worse. Bloat stomps with no animation so you get randomly slapped for between 40-80.. then you're unable to use game features like DWH to decrease Verzik defence to combat the stupid defence increase.

Why is dead content being updated to make it worse without any community poll? It's already a struggle to get a team, now when you do, X out of Y you fail due to a team wipe and then you spend 20 mins killing Verzik. If you do succeed you get rewarded with crap.
