#536876 Ironman PvP Tournament. (DMM)

Posted by U on 31 January 2026 - 01:41 PM

Hello Everyone!  ^_^

The Ironman PvP Tournament has been delayed due to OSRS Deadman Mode. We believe this is the better decision for now. Sorry for the confusion.

You can still sign up, and a new date will be announced once everything is ready.

Following the Community Poll, Alora DMM was the clear winner.

Due to current limitations, we are unable to allow players to freely attack others outside the Wilderness. Because of this, the event will be run in a slightly adjusted format for now. This is something we hope to support properly in the future.

Alora DMM-Style Tournament

We are excited to announce an upcoming Alora DMM style tournament.

This is a pure survival and skill based event. All players will start on a brand new Ironman account, completely from scratch. You will have seven days to build your account, plan your progression, and prepare for one goal only: winning the final tournament.

Once the grind phase ends, all participants will be placed into a randomized, bracket style PvP Tournament to determine who truly earned the title.

The Grind Phase (7 Days)

The first seven days are all about preparation.

Everyone starts at the exact same time, meaning every decision matters. How you spend your time is entirely up to you.

Will you rush combat and push early bosses?
Will you camp Barrows for tank gear?
Will you rush combat and push early bosses, camp Barrows for tank gear, or gamble on Zulrah or the Gauntlet for a key upgrade like a Serpentine helm, Fang, or Crystal gear?

There is no single correct path. Smart planning, efficient grinding, and a bit of luck will separate the contenders from the rest.

The Final duels will be held at ::Duel TBA.

Tournament Phase

Once the seven days are over, the grind ends and the fighting begins.

All DMM participants will be placed into a random tournament bracket.

You fight whoever the bracket assigns you.

Every match is elimination-based.
Win and advance.
Lose and you are out.

The Grand Finale

The tournament will take place at ::duel.

You will fight using only the gear, supplies, and stats you managed to obtain during the seven day grind.

This is where preparation meets execution. Only the strongest and smartest players will make it through.

Rules and Requirements

To keep the event fair and competitive, the following rules apply:

Accounts

You must create a brand new Ironman account.

Your in-game name must include the prefix DMM_ (example: DMM_John) so we can track participants properly.

No assistance of any kind is allowed. No exceptions.
Any form of outside help will result in immediate disqualification.

A serious prize pool awaits the winners:

2nd Place: 750M + Forum Award

3rd Place: 500M + Forum Award

#536471 Community Event Poll.

Posted by U on 27 January 2026 - 11:28 AM

@Satan Smash I wish I could do it that way. Maybe in the future we could implement something similar to what we had in Leagues, where players participating in the league were invisible and non attackable to regular players. :D

#536466 Community Event Poll.

Posted by U on 27 January 2026 - 11:20 AM

Hello Everyone!   ^_^

We are excited to announce that we are planning a new temporary game mode for all of you, but first we want your input. We would love to hear what kind of event you are most interested in.

Do you want to show everyone how efficient you are at gathering gear, food, and supplies, and then prove your PvP skills?

Or do you want to show everyone how efficient you are when it comes to pure experience gains?

The choice is yours.

Deadman Mode
This is a survival and skill focused event. Everyone starts on a fresh Ironman account from scratch. You will have seven days to build your account, plan your progression, and prepare for one goal only: winning the final tournament.
Once the preparation phase ends, all participants will be placed into a randomized bracket style PvP tournament to determine who truly earns the title.
Keep in mind. You cannot go around and random kill players outside the Bracket/Outside wilderness.

King of the Skill
The objective is simple. Gain as much total experience as possible within a fixed amount of play time. You will have 24 hours of total play time to gain as much experience as you can. The event itself will run for one week.
You are free to restart your run or create a new account if you discover a more efficient route or strategy along the way. You will be playing on the Ironman Game mode.

Let us hear what you wanna see the most. We are excited to hear what you have in mind.

The Poll wil End January 30.

I feel this is more something that falls under the responsibility of the Event Manager who creates the schedule. If they wanna include the bonus or not.

#530963 Do not allow bought quivers/Infernals to be used to claim Comp Cape

Hello 93, just a heads-up. Buying a Quiver or Infernal Cape doesn’t count toward the Completionist Cape, nice try though. :)

I don’t think it’s a bad thing to explain why you support a topic, instead of just typing “Support” to boost your post count. If you genuinely support an idea, take a moment to share why. It helps us better understand what players actually want. And what they don’t.

I honestly think it’s fine as it is. It motivates players who want to buy them to actually play the Leagues when they’re available

#528622 Bonus Events Suggestion

Posted by U on 08 October 2025 - 01:17 PM

My personal take on this

I completely understand where the suggestion comes from, and I agree that it can be frustrating when event times end up being inconvenient depending on your timezone. It’s definitely something we take into consideration when scheduling events. However, implementing a system where events automatically trigger or can be activated individually for each player would, in practice, be far more complex than it sounds. The current setup for global events and bonuses requires them to be managed manually, which means they don’t activate automatically or individually.

In this particular case, I activated the event slightly earlier as a small bonus, while the official Chambers of Xeric bonus was still activated at the scheduled time as planned. The event system itself doesn’t currently support automated activations or personal timers, and adding that kind of functionality would require an entirely new system to be built. RuneScape 3 can support these features because its engine was designed for them from the start, but Alora’s setup is built differently and focuses more on direct management and consistency.

Consistency plays a big role in how events are run. Having a clear and predictable schedule ensures that players always know when to expect events, and it allows the team to coordinate efficiently across time zones. If events rotated too frequently or were activated individually, it would quickly lead to confusion, missed participation, and potential overlap with other ongoing bonuses. Keeping one global schedule guarantees fairness and clarity for everyone, even if the timing isn’t always perfect for every region.

That said, I do think it could be worth exploring a light rotation of event times occasionally to give different regions a better chance to participate. For example, alternating between earlier and later sessions on a monthly basis could be tested to see how it affects turnout and engagement. But maybe a different system could be made in the future if it becomes technically possible. I won’t guarantee or promise anything, though.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that the team members responsible for events are spread across different time zones, and we all try our best to plan them around our own schedules while keeping them consistent for the community. We’ll always aim to make events as accessible as possible, but there are natural limits when everything has to be managed manually.
