#486093 boost gotr exp

Posted by praxi gim on 04 May 2024 - 09:36 AM

Was going to say no support, but for some reason the fact that we have direct teleports to all of the rc altars flew right over my head.

Gotr was added as an early game alternative to runecrafting, but it's not much of an alternative on Alora when going to the dark wizard is much better, so for that reason I think it would be nice to give gotr an experience buff to get groups going.

Support!

this is main reason ive had to suggest this. the removal of travel times to altats means that regular rcing is up to like 4x or 5x higher exp than gotr at the current state

#485850 boost gotr exp

What is your suggestion?: boost the exp gained from the gotr minigame

Is this in OSRS?: kind of

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: no

How would this benefit Alora?: the gotr minigame on osrs was designed to be an alternative to the standard rcing methods available and provide comparative exp rates. on alora we have a teleport wizard for standard rcing which obviously increases the exp rates of normal rcing tenfold by reducing travel times to near 0. gotr however has no buff whatsoever to its exp rates which means it falls laughably behind and is barely worth doing except for the few people who care to clog it. the exp rates it gives should be buffed so that, like on osrs, it can provide alora players with a fun alternative to standard rcing with comparative exp rates without having to give yourself rsi from all the clicking standard rcing requires

#484135 Drop Rates Information

the big thing here that was highlighted was the drop rate when redskulled change, like it specifices you get a higher drop rate but doesnt specify what exactly that means. i support this. same thing goes for booster scrolls, sure, they say 20/25% etc but they dont update the drop table to see those new odds

#483976 change rogue outfit pricing

Posted by praxi gim on 12 April 2024 - 07:36 AM

What is your suggestion?: make the rogue outfit cost the same price across all account types.

Is this in OSRS?: no, its a custom shop.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: people didnt even realise in yell they were different.

How would this benefit Alora?: regardless of your donator rank or account type, the acquisition of a vote book via voting is the same (wether you choose to buy votes is a different story) theres absolutely no reason why 95% of the vote store have the same pricing across all account types EXCEPT the rogue outfit. on some accounts the rogue outfit is 750 vote points for the set, on others its 1200 for the set. either make it 1200 across the board, or make it 750 across the board. im not suggesting we make the outfit cheaper, simply make the price uniform for all game modes the same way the rest of the shop is

#483755 Aereal Fishing rework

ive always been personally skewed on having these logs even ingame in the 1st place. even as useless ones some of the logs can be that make the game 'complete' on osrs for example. i still enjoy having them as close to the main game as possible even if its 'dead content or content that forces me to have completed in the name of completion'

the problem is that alora is making an effort to be easier than osrs in terms of time investment by having higher exp rates, higher drop rates, faster grow times for farming etc etc etc. Having grinds like this as close to osrs as possible completely goes against the grain for no reason, especially something so trivial like ariel fishing rewards

As someone who actually did the green log grind for Ariel fishing, it needs a drop rate buff on pearls. Sure the 200 for outfit doesn't take too long (3-4 hours) but anything outside of that is obnoxious and a complete disregard for people's time. Support
