The following skill guides are for new players only. If you’re a richer player there are faster ways however this thread is aimed towards those who have little to no money.

The following experience tables exclude all forms of bonus experience apart from the Well of Goodwill (+30%).

With the addition of the classic rank these guides will be updated accordingly as soon as I have free time

As previously discussed, this thread is aimed towards new members of the community and those who are struggling with money, the following weapons will be inexpensive in comparison to the high quality weapons but they're still pretty good in terms of starting off.

Drop sources are taken from the Oldschool RuneScape Wiki therefore some monster drops may be incorrect.

There are many ways to obtain money in Alora, suited for everyone's needs. This thread is aimed at new members of the community who are looking to make some easy cash, therefore the following points are very good money making techniques for new players particularly - however they're still good for older players!

Thieving Stalls

Thieving is the easiest way to make money in Alora. You can find multipe stalls in the room just north of Edgeville bank and steal from the stalls for items. These items can then be sold to the Ali Morissane NPC, who roams around the room you're standing in.

Ruby_ring.png = 4,350 coins

Battlestaff.png = 5,550 coins

Adamant_scimitar.png = 7,500 coins

Crushed_gem.png = 10,000 coins

Skilling

Skilling is an excellent wya to make money on Alora. Not every skill will earn you profit, especially at lower levels but if you know the right ones to train you're sure to earn good money. As previously mentioned, thieving is a great money making technique.

Fishing and Cooking: Dark crabs, angerfish

Hunter: Chinchompas

Crafting: Javelins

Farming: High-level potion ingredients

Herblore: High-level potions

Slayer: Better to be combined with PvM

Player-killing

The entire Wilderness is open for Player-vs-Player combat. You're able to earn a large sum of money if you're able to kill other players! This could be one of the fastest ways to make money if done correctly. On top of normal loot from players, you can also make use of the target system (bounty hunter system) that is displayed in the top right-hand cornor when you are within the Wilderness This will find you a suitable target and if you kill that target, you can receive a Mysterious emblem. Emblems can be traded in Edgeville with the Emblem trader for many valuable goods. Even if you kill a player who is not your target if you are carrying an emblem of your own, you have a chance at upgrading it's tier upon the death of your enemies, making it much more valuable

Monster-killing

Defeating moneys all around Alora will be the major source of income for many players. You can examine NPCs to see which items they drop and find out which ones are the most profitable slays. You may also wish to do this while completing Slayer tasks (via the Slayer skill) as you can earn slayer points at the same time! These points can then be exchanged for valuable items in the Slayer store.

Merchanting

This isn't recommended for those who are not very experienced in this field. Merchanting is another very profitable source of income on Alora. The Trading Post system will likely be your friend in this process - you can check recent offers and find low price goods to purchase. Afterwards, you can flip them and increase the price by however much you'd like. Popular items to do this with are high-level foods as well as high-level equipment that players use to pk/pvm. This is typically not an instant source of gold as it takes time, but if you're patient I'm sure it will pay off.

Donating

As always, donating to servers boost your account value a lot. Not only do you gain particular benefits (like access to the donator zones) but you're so able to purchase something from the donator store (depending on how much you spend). There are a lot of obtainable items in the store, some better than others in terms of price. If you plan on donating, be sure to read the Price Guide to ensure that you're purchasing the most valuable item as you possibly can.
