In Topic: Change cost of Instanced Rooms

21 August 2026 - 05:25 AM

No support from me on lowering the instance costs, personally.

As an Ironman, I haven’t really had issues maintaining runes or GP once I started progressing through PvM. A lot of bosses provide runes, coin drops, caskets, and uniques along the way, so you can often sustain your supplies while also working toward upgrades. I personally use instance tokens as well and don’t mind supporting the server through donations when I can.

If you stay in an instance and actually grind it for the full duration, you can usually make a decent amount of that cost back through the drops anyway.

I think a lot of the struggle comes from jumping straight into bossing before doing some of the essential Ironman grinds. If you skip building up your supplies like runes, food, and GP via slayer and early PvM progression, you’re naturally going to feel that deficit later.

That said, Alora has a really helpful community, so newer players shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions or get advice. We’re all in this together and want to see new players progress. Respectfully I just don’t personally feel reducing the GP cost of instances is necessary. Good luck on your grinds and feel free to reach out for any help you may need!  :D

In Topic: Add one or two Sailing-related items to the Vote Shop

19 August 2026 - 02:20 AM

I’d support adding a couple of Sailing-related items to the Vote Shop, as long as they’re balanced appropriately.

I also agree with the point about using Sailing to bring some extra attention to Alora. With Sailing being such a major piece of newer OSRS content, having some themed rewards available around it could help make Alora feel current and give returning or potential new players something recognizable to check out.

I’d just prefer the rewards to be cosmetic, convenience-based, or otherwise non-essential rather than anything that skips meaningful Sailing progression. That way it helps refresh the Vote Shop, encourages voting, and potentially brings some extra eyes onto the server without turning the shop into a shortcut for the skill.

Support from me if it’s implemented carefully.  :D

Congrats Satan Smash! Very well deserved, man.

In Topic: Small little buff to Royal Seed Pod.

19 August 2026 - 02:12 AM

I’m going to have to not support this one, mostly because I think the Royal Seed Pod already fills the role it was designed for without really needing an Alora-specific buff.

The Grand Tree destination might not always be the most convenient teleport on Alora, but I don’t think every item necessarily needs to become the most efficient version of itself. Giving the Seed Pod an Edgeville or POH teleport would start overlapping with other established teleports and could make things like Construction cape/POH teleports, tablets, and other convenience items a little less meaningful.

I also think there’s something to be said for keeping items recognizable to their original purpose. The Seed Pod is tied to the Grand Tree, and changing its destination just because players generally want to end up somewhere else feels more like removing a minor inconvenience than solving an actual problem.

If there were a bigger issue with access to Edgeville or POH teleports I could understand it more, but Alora already gives us plenty of very quick ways to get around. Because of that, I’d personally rather leave the Seed Pod as it is and preserve the small differences between teleport items instead of gradually turning several of them into the same convenience tool.

No support from me, but I can understand why some players would prefer the extra convenience.

In Topic: Cooking NPC

19 August 2026 - 02:07 AM

I’d support this, especially from an Ironman perspective.

For normal accounts, cooking large amounts of food is already somewhat optional since they can simply buy supplies from other players. Ironmen don’t have that luxury, so once you reach the later stages of the game and start doing a lot of PvM, keeping a healthy stockpile of food can turn into a pretty repetitive chore.

I think an NPC like this would be a nice late-game QoL option as long as it has sensible requirements and costs GP per item. Giving 0 Cooking XP is important too, since it keeps the NPC from becoming an alternative training method and makes it purely a convenience feature.

I also don’t think it necessarily needs to be UIM-only. Regular Ironmen would benefit quite a bit from it as well, especially players who are constantly burning through food at bosses and raids. If it required something like 99 Cooking, certain diary completion, or another meaningful unlock, I think that would keep it balanced while still giving Ironmen a genuinely useful reward for reaching the late game.

Overall, I think this would be a solid QoL addition and a decent gold sink without taking away much from the actual Cooking skill.
