It sounds from the post like you are seeking solutions for an ironman.

Have you tried:
-Doing barrows just for the runes? (enhanced with row(i) and mory diaries)
-Killing Revenants, Vyres, Kraken, and other endgame bosses for large amounts of runes?
-Getting a staff of light, staff of the dead, or a combination elemental staff to save on rune costs? 
-Buying a tome of fire and buying some pages?

Vet'ion drops 900 chaos runes at a high rate of 1/17. He is the easiest of the 3 wildy bosses to kill and is a good source for a dragon pickaxe too. Just 1-item with a crush weapon and some monk robes or better.

I'm not expressing support or lack of support. I'm just trying to help by providing solutions I used on my ironman and GIM to procure early runes. 

For those that don't know, Aether runes are a combined soul and cosmic rune. It is also uniquely, the only non-elemental combination rune in the game. The best it can do is save one inventory slot in niche content. The above comment does not make much sense because:

1) The elemental combination runes cannot be created in Alora so shops were initially (and still are to this day) the only procurement option unless you for example killed smoke devils for smoke runes or dust devils for dust runes, etc. Aether runes however are different. Like Sunfire runes, they can be created and they are uniquely not a cheap elemental rune.

2) Aether runes are not a required feature for any ingame content. Aether runes are something we've lived without just fine for years if not a decade. However they are available now, so no need to live without them if you don't want to.

If it's true that Yama is bugged as one poster said, then the solution is to fix Yama, not to devalue its drop table and devalue Alora's Eco like less popular RSPS's and the Venezuelan government like to do. 

After reading this post, I am now the first player in Alora to post Aether Runes for sale on the Trading Post. I put up 18k Aether runes and will put in more later this week after those have all sold. Problem solved. The Invisible Hand of Economics solves many demand/demand problems in economies. Something Nicolás Maduro's regime in Venezuela is learning the hard way.

I set the price high so that it will show up later on the TP history high and encourage others to post theirs for sale too. 

Obviously, no support. This suggestion is on the same level as making everything below shop-buyable too. Below are other high-end consumable items.

Alora's Economy is important. Many people come to Alora because it has one of the best economies of the RSPS's. In most RSPSs without an economy the dark truth there is the only good way to make gold is to attend drop parties, ask for handouts, or god forbid, beg.

I've personally never killed Obor before. His only "good" drop is a hill giant club, right? Quite a niche piece of content. While I don't understand why someone would want to kill Obor repeatedly beyond the combat achievements, if this makes you happy, go for it.  I really don't see any downsides to this proposal and that's mainly what I look for.
