What is your suggestion?:

My suggestion is adding a overlay to tell you how many cannonballs are left in your cannon. Just how there is a veng and barrage timer, and even the well and vote timers, something along the lines of these in-game timers. I was thinking, if this was added, it would be best to add it how OSRS has it viewing right above the cannon.

From what I searching and asking around, no.

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

I feel this will only benefit players, especially those lower levels that use cannoning as a resource to train range. This will allow the player to know when it's time to make a move to fill up their cannon! This also will also come in handy to those who do a lot of afk training with a cannon to agro for them. This can help a player gauge how much longer he/she can task via afk, until they need to pay attention to fill their cannon, as well as attacking a new NPC, so on and so forth..

 

This obviously isn't a endeavoring need to add this, especially with the awesome new content @Omicron already currently has in store for us, but I feel it's defiantly something that should be passed onto the to-do list!

As most of you know, I resigned from the staff team a couple of weeks ago. I'd been in a funk for the past month, even after taking a handful of week-long breaks to try to get my mind right. I was no longer able to bring to the table the qualities I've always prided myself on, so I felt that it was best that I leave the team. After quitting, I realized... that was the source of most of my enjoyment on Alora; without it, I really wasn't having enough fun to stick around. This isn't a knock against anyone or anything, it's a problem that I continually have – we're on my 3^rd (or 4^th?) farewell thread now.

 

Without being overly dramatic, I'm very happy to remember all the wonderful experiences I've had in the past two years on Alora. I initially wanted to @ a bunch of people in this post but as I thought about it more, there are just too many damn people that have had a positive impact on me; it'd take too long to list all of them.

 

I abhor ass-kissing, but I think almost every single member of the staff team that I've had to pleasure of working with has earned my respect with their work behind the scenes (except that rat fuck Fe China). Even though the current team is small, it's still as strong as ever. And although I've received help from everyone on the team, the following guys went above and beyond to guide me when I was struggling at various points on the ladder: @Mhk, @Paine, @To gain, @Immortal Fox, Kharyrll, Groot, Dante, king purple, @Fenrir (stop changing names), and most of all, @Mack.

 

Some might not like how I left the team, and that's alright. But I'm glad I finally applied back in November and was able to give back to the place that has given so much to me. I'm satisfied to see @Omicron and Chad pumping out QOL updates and reworks to existing content. I look forward to reading about them on the forums, and watching @Lowkey's entertaining stream. But other than that, I'm stepping away for good.

Was wondering what the servers opinion and thoughts of the souls series are?

Like for me I personally love the series, I've put countless hours into all the titles except for demon souls sadly(didn't own a ps3).

Also how would you rank them in your own opinion? 
Like for me my favorite would be Dark Souls 3>og Dark Souls>Bloodbourne> Dark souls 2>Dark Soul remastered. 

 

Have you Platinumed or 100% any of them? 

I have Platinumed Dark souls 3 and was going to try to do so on the other ones but its quite difficult nowadays with some of the trophies being locked behind PvP covenients and the online community either being filled with twinks or just dead overall, so just stuck with my DS3 one and am happy I was able to complete it. I've nearly Platinumed BloodBourne just haven't found the motivation to finish up the chalice dungeons and to find the like 1 item I somehow missed.

 

Also one recommendation I can make is if you are a veteran souls player and have friends that have never played any of the try to get them to try it out. Then co-op with them and let them make their own choices on what location they want to go to first and what not. I don't know how many hours and countless amazing moments I've gotten out of taking 3 of my friends and introducing them to the abusive uncle that is the souls series.

I've been gone for a couple months now, but I've never made an official farewell thread since I thought I'd be back. I think it's time I say goodbye to my good friends of Alora for the meantime. I've had a blast playing, and I'd like to thank the entire community and staff for making my experience that much more enjoyable! A special thanks to #ICE for the family I've met along the way, and a special thanks to my GIM group DreamTeam. My apologies to my GIM group, I am truly sorry. 

 

I've gotten married, my wife is pregnant, and I took a job which requires me to travel every single week. I barely get sleep or time to myself so I don't think I'll be able to dedicate any time to Alora for a while.

Hi everyone,

Just a small suggestion about the Ultimate Mystery box.

Whenever you get one of the rare items out of the box you get a news notification with "player x has received 1x (item) out of the ultimate mystery box". I was thinking maybe add a Ultimate mystery box counter with it to see which box the person got the item on. Pretty much as a Kill count for drops.

Give me your thoughts on the idea.
