I’m writing this guide from the perspective of someone who has helped write guides for Perilous Moons for OSRS live, and for anyone jumping ship to Alora so they can understand some of the changes and anticipate them. Please note that when I point out a change, this is not a judgement or complaining; this is hands down one of the best scripted versions of the fight I’ve played in a RSPS.

As a piece of general advice, Blue Moon and Eclipse Moon won’t apply their curses like on live OSRS, but Blood Moon will still heal herself on damaging you. Stepping under on Blood Moon also doesn’t seem to work because you get all three splats at once. Or at least, I haven’t sorted the timing for it here, and please leave some feedback so I can edit the guide if someone else figures it out and I can recreate it.

The moons on this version will hit more frequently than the live version (in my anecdotal experience) so definitely stack your slashing defense and come with a good defense level. I was able to do the full circuit in full rune with a D.Scimmy and a dream. So if you have some Barrows armor and a better weapon, then this should be a cake walk for you.

Eclipse Moon

-Stab weapon, if able, helps with accuracy. Multi-splat weapons are less effective against eclipse.

-Extra slow but heavy hitting melee switch for clones. -

Moon WALK. Not run. Click for your first move once you hear her start winding up her spell. Make sure you are preemptively clicking the next patch of the moon’s path on the other side of the room so you don’t lose any ticks, or you will fall behind the moon and get hit. This is better understood if you watch my example run and note when I click the next side of the room; if you click the other side of the area too early, you will take the shorter path in the other direction and get blasted.

-Clone phase you only need to be facing the boss, not actively click her. This allows you to click the squares directly next to you to face them and save you some reaction time in case you misclick. You can often correct your direction with a second click using the squares closer to yourself if you goof up.

Differences from the OSRS live version: You will use the same four moon symbols on the floor over and over. Do not follow them around the room in a clock-wise pattern like normal. I labeled them along with easy to spot places where I can click to maintain my moonwalk and not step on the outside “safe track” or fall behind and take damage.

Blue Moon

-Crush weapon for accuracy, multi-splat weapon for bonus damage.

-On the last attack phase of the boss, you can start running for the brazier on the same side of the room as you. I click the tile next to the brazier the moment I see my hit splats pop up on Blue Moon since you usually can’t get a second hit in and getting to the brazier and avoiding tornadoes on that side of the room entirely will make it a smoother fight imo.

Differences from the OSRS live version: Here Blue Moon will use the same four moon symbols on the floor over and over, just like Eclipse. There’s a nice spot in the new moon floor tiles where you can sit safely and not be hit by the erupting ice during the phase where you free your weapon. The ice eruption areas also don’t alter between two patterns so you only need to know one floor pattern for it. However, you will take damage a lot faster from being on top of it so if you are taking a lot of damage during the normal attack phases, this can be a good spot to preemptively get away from the block to save some health/supplies.

Blood Moon

-Slashing weapons for accuracy, multi-splat for bonus damage. DDS spec if you can.

-The pattern for avoiding damage during the jaguar fight has changed from the live version. PLEASE watch the linked video for an example of how it works. Basically stand in the portion of the tile where the jaguar cannot hit you and as soon as you see the jaguar begin the attack animation, click to attack them and move out of the blood puddle, wait a tick, then click back in the tile away from the jaguar and wait for their attack animation to begin again to repeat the “dance”.

-The blood rain portion CAN kill her but you will still have to finish avoiding the blood on the floor until her death animation. Since the damage seems to happen a tick earlier in these puddles than on the jaguar phase/live, you can’t always avoid ALL damage but you can easily click away from it after taking only one tick of damage.

Differences from the OSRS live version: The blood puddles during the blood rain phase will hurt you almost instantly but also seem to do less damage. Jaguar dance is “backwards” in comparison but follows a similar rhythm and these blood puddles apply damage at the same time as the live version so you can stand in their tile at seemingly dangerous times without issue.

Love the guide! Do you think you could add some inventory and armor set ups?
