What is your suggestion?: Add Pest Control Pet(s)

How would this benefit Alora?:

It would help to accommodate the overwhelmingly mundane task of getting the points needed for elite void/collection logs. A small chance of a pet would make the wait times between games seem less like downtime and more like the start of another gamble for "The PC" pet. I believe that the players of Alora would be more enticed to play pest control.

There could be multiple transmogs used for the pet, as there are many different monsters in Pest Control.

It would give new meaning to not only PC but Alora, being as it is a unique idea, just adding to the list.

I’d like to see something added to PC as another incentive to help boost activity in the minigame. This would especially benefit newer players trying to complete PC, as finding active games can be a struggle when the majority of the playerbase has been around for a while and has already gotten everything they need from it.

 

...But Idk about it being a pet. There are already some custom pets in the game, and if we keep adding more, people will eventually start demanding for custom pets from other monsters and activities too. It could get out of hand, with custom pets roaming around everywhere, which IMO wouldn’t be a great look for Alora.

I like the idea but maybe also make it unlockable via points aswell like 2500 or something.

 On the other hand alora does already have some custom pets and i imagine alot of the people in the community would rather that dev time went elsewhere towards bug fixing

I think pest control is in a good spot as it is beginner content and essentially every account is practically forced to go and do it considering ranged elite void is busted. The other incentive accounts already have is free clogs so No Support. We also don’t need anymore custom pets (We have tormented demons, Smithers, house pet, all of the daily reward pets including mimic, god pet etc), plenty more actual pets coming regardless.

Alternatively to this suggestion since fighter torso and other BA gear is in the pc shop already, the penance queen pet could be added to pc shop instead of a new custom pet.

I’m sorry if this comes across as rude but…

1) does getting rocky pet make thieving for blood shards feel less mundane?

2) can you wear this pet in replacement for void?

3) considering omicron already has a pile of osrs updates to add to alora, maybe not worth suggesting custom pet seeing as how it most definitely will not be implemented ever.

I can appreciate the creative(kinda) thought that went into your idea and the sentiment of wanting to improve the quality of mundane mini games, but this is not something that would be worth spending the time to implement considering the bottleneck of new osrs content yet to be added to alora.

I hate to be a doomer but I learned the hard way(castle wars revamp suggestion) that stuff like this will not and frankly should not be a priority for update. So ya

For context, Ace didn't just not create a menagerie in his POH for his pets. He instead died in the wildy with all of his pets so that they could be in the reclaim area where he says they belong instead. It all started by him getting like 3-5 TOB pets in total for the tob purple chests between accounts. Then continued with the Doom pet a couple times and a corp pet.

I don't have an opinion on this matter. I already have a beef pet, balloon animal, gauntlet, Zalcano, and Vet'tion pet I like. I also hate pest control. I would rather do Barbarian Assault or Stealing Creation than Pest control. Stealing Creation was the most fun minigame RS2 ever had. If I needed a new pet, I'd probably go for a Huey, Walking Anvil, or TD pet first. 

At a minimum I'd prioritize this suggestion below Sailing. And recommend you chase another pet, like the hunter rumors pet, in the meantime.
