Add a bit more spark to the MOTM polling threads. At the mo, nominated players are just put into a poll, with a list of rules and info underneath. It’d be nice to give each nominee a quick intro and mention why they’ve been nominated before the community votes.

 

Example:

 

H and Tauri have both made it through to the MOTM voting!@!@!@!~~~

 

H has been nominated for his crazy dedication to clog hunting and the effort he puts into chasing those completions.

 

Tauri has been nominated for his generosity w/ giveaways and for bringing plenty of interaction, fun, and good times to the community through the events he hosts.

 

 

Vote for who you think deserves MOTM for the month of September. The winner will be announced on 10 September, best of luck to everyone.

 

Rules & Information:

- The winner of this month's MOTM will win 3 bonds (can be claimed on any game mode), a forum award, and also be featured on the main page of forums for an entire month.

- If you are caught asking others to vote for you, your name will be removed from the poll.

- If someone is asking others to vote for a specific person, they will be infracted.

- If you are caught voting multiple times on multiple different accounts, all votes will be removed and you will be infracted on forums.

This would require that everyone making a nomination give a good reason for it which could become a requirement - but we already get so few nominations as is, I'm not sure if that additional requirement is worth it.

Most nominees are pretty well-known players in the community, both by the players and staff. Ain’t nobody getting nominated who started last week or just answers a few questions in Alora cc here and there, so I’d have thought staff would already get why certain people are being nominated.

 

I do get you though. It’s a shame MOTM nominations and voting aren’t as active as they should be. Tbh, I can’t think of many ways to bring more attention to them either. Nobody really cares unless there’s something in it for them, and forums are basically on life support at this point.

Thank you for the nomination. Happy to be recognized by the community for once and if all goes well I will crush Tauri in this poll and take what's mine.

 

On a real note, I like the idea. A little sentence or 2 about the nominees would be cool.
