I am a PvM-er myself, terrible at PKing, but these crucial PVP changes would attract new people to Alora, old PvM'ers to PKing and the wilderness activity will increase, no doubt. I truly hope that most of the changes, if not all, will actually go as far that Omicron actually starts working on it rather than getting new content into the game.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of PKing, I will support those suggestions. Especially the gear switching, since it’s also a thing for PvMing.

Speaks for itself, if only pking would be more like 07 and important mechanics and bugs will be fixed, then it’s just a matter of time till more PKers and clans will join.
I truly hope @Omicron will take a look at this thread as soon as possible and in my opinion, realize that this is also really beneficial to keep the server growing, since PvM and skilling are top notch at the moment. If you could only imagine how some of these fixes would impact the server, and eventually the PvP scene.

If anyone has some other suggestions on bug fixes or whatever, feel free to add it in the replies.

You got my support on this amazing suggestion, i am not a pking player but sometimes i like to go with my friends and have fun and these gear delay suggestion will make even more fun.

Excellent post, I support all of these suggestions. Hopefully PvP gets some love in the near future now that GIM/Hydra are released

Overall good post, pretty much a summary of why this is a pvm/skilling based server.

Did you take ping into consideration for the "gear switching and prayer delays" though? Respectively on OSRS you're playing on worlds that are hosted in your own country, resulting in lower pings. Whereas playing on alora overseas from where it's hosted makes your ping low, and everything delayed.

The thing is that for example we have members in peeks from all over the world but yet everyone seems to have the same problems in terms of these issues pointed out in this thread.

The ping is around same in osrs/alora for me so doesn't make difference. (I was the one who recored switching/pray clips)

It's no secret this is where Alora is slacking. I've played on an off since 9 days after official release. I genuinely believe this server has the potential to hit 1.5k+ active players on at all times if the wilderness activity was fixed. These fixes would appeal to a huge amount of the RSPS scene, as most pkers play RSPS's due to levelling being easy! I mean, i'm not a pker myself but you can feel the 1-2 tick delay when PVM'ing on bosses like Alchemical Hydra.. Final phase you have to switch prayer during the previous attack to be able to avoid all damage. I genuinely feel this is the next step Alora needs to take to thrive beyond belief. I appreciate all the new content, and you're indisputably a coding God @Omicron, but Alora needs a huge QOL before advancing. Just my 2 cents

I myself am not really into the PvPing side per say, but for the sake of the community and wanting to see the wilderness with more active PKers, I'd like to give my full support on this. Great over-all suggestions Kitty is bad, it's been a while since I've seen a user post a sufficient suggestion such like this one.

This idea has already been suggested previously but I would like to bring it up again:

 

Alora should offer the ability to switch the positioning of raids pray (rigour/augury) with eagle eye/mystic might. This is a feature on the majority of osrs clients and although I myself have adjusted to the positions of rigour/augury, I've seen many people who would like to start pking on this server turned off by the inability to change the positioning of these prayers. This is obviously not a priority compared to the changes proposed above, however, it is something that would be useful to have and I would like to see.
