Hi,

 

Today I am suggesting a new feature, that would make Ironman, Hardcore Ironman and Ultimate Ironman more fun to some of us.

When we create an account, we get the options to play Normal ironman modes, custom ironman modes(EIM/GIM) and classic / realism mode.

When a player chooses one of the normal ironman modes,(IM,HCIM,UIM) the game would offer the player a choice, choose xp rate (2x - 40x). (2x -8x for hardcores)

 

this would make people not have to play solo EIM/GIM for lower xp rates, we will be able to play 2xp rates ironman, instead of playing realism as solo mode.

I've seen people say they would love to play ironman, but x40 just is too much, and i agree. But i still play ironman cause i cant stand the homemade DIY ironman modes(EIM/GIM). This won't do shit for people who already have an account, and have no plans to create a new one, but i think it would be worth to start again just for the extra challenge.(imo, I will do it, not saying y'all should)

 

So that is it, I personally think this would ''revive'' Ironman, hc and UIM. I would give everything to be able to play 2x UIM and Ironman :)

There are a few reasons why I do NOT support this suggestion, due;

 

Reason 1: If this was a thing, then it should be a thing since the start of Alora, not after nearly 3 years. EIM / Gim / Classic / Realism came to Alora for a reason. It will devalue any other game mode if you could customise your experience rate.

 

Reason 2: It would make the highscore base too scuffed due to so many devided type of exp rate. I rather keep it like this.

 

Reason 3: I'm gonna take the HCIM as an example; People takes the HCIM x8 mode as a challenge since it's a fairly low exp rate game mode with the risk of 1 death. It will devalue the HCIM game mode if you could pick the x8 exp rate as a regular ironman also and not risking a death on that game mode.

I agree with @iron aritus and also think that these game modes are okay and there are no need to revive them.

The different game modes exist with different, fixed experience rates to keep it fair for all players playing in their respective game modes. Setting your experience rate ruins the purpose of having 8x for HCIM, 4x for EIM, so on and so forth.

Exactly what @Moral truth said .A few members have touched on the topic, When you allow players to pick XP rates it just makes the game look sloppy. With all the different game modes Alora provides you can find a difficulty and XP rate that suits a large majority of the player base.
