What is your suggestion?:

Add a requirement to ONLY the cape variants, that if a specific boss collection log is required to be completed, then also the combat achievements for that boss are also required to be completed.

Example: Infernal Completionist cape

•Current Req: completion of inferno's collection log

•New Req: Inferno collection log AND inferno combat achievements

How would this benefit Alora?:

Would make these capes more prestige and feels more "completionist" to include Combat Achievements in the requirements for specific completionist capes.

Edit: I don't mind changing the suggestion and making it so we REMOVE the collection log req, and change it to combat achievement requirement. This removes the RNG out of it and will reward players their transmog on different completionist capes once they've proven themselves to have mastered the content. A player could be spooned drops and finish the collection log while still being bad at the content, that doesn't seem very 'completionist' to me. Once they've proven they've mastered the content by completed the combat achievments, THEN they have EARNED their transmog on the cape.

As Neuro said, there are capes already to recognize combat achievements.

No need to add more grinding-steps for the small % that will wear them.

Alora has some pretty great gamers who we can pretty much agree on that they're freaking gamers. Unless it's a speed run, high KC or completed log, not many of these elite gamers have ways of being able to show off their achievements. I believe with this inclusion of new Comp. Variants would be a way for these gamers to be able to show off their accomplishments. There's nothing wrong with there being items or anything in the game that feels "unachievable" to the casual player. Get better. Play more. You should be a new player seeing someone with one of these variants and think "damn, that's impressive".

TL;DR - Alora should have other ways to show off your skills that isn't just speed run high scores/high scores leaderboards on forums. An in-game way to show your talents.

Agree, all these 'gamers' asking for easyscape need to just get good.

While that’s true, this whole post is basically implying that too many people have achieved the comp capes and that it needs to be more of a grind. The whole point of a rsps is to not have to spend 2 years achieving things. The comp capes already have a great length of grind that will take time to achieve. Unless you have absolutely no outside life or job.

this post is implying that the comp cape variants are far too easy (or rng) to achieve. If a player wants an infernal comp cape, it can take him 1 kc to get the pet and its unlocked or he could go dry for 100+, while making it locked behind the CA's prooves that he's mastered the inferno and thus deserves the cape unlocked.

yeah i’ll agree with the rng based pet chance, but also i genuinely feel alora is right at near perfect grind wise. not too much, not too little, you can play and achieve things without it taking anywhere near the same time as rs. but i hear you, makes sense

It could maybe be one or the other, so big Chad who never misses ticks can skip the rng process.
