Hello everyone,
 
This update brings a wave of content and improvements across the board — particularly many balancing tweaks to improve your bossing/raiding experience, along with a range of other quality-of-life improvements throughout the game. We’ve also added an extensive new Yama Contract system, along with combat achievements, new deposit box functionality, cosmetic equippable flowers, the highly requested Tormented Demon pet and dozens of fixes.

  • Tormented Demon pet:
    • Tormy can now be obtained as a drop from Tormented demons!
      • The rate is ~1/2,419 by default, prior to any boosters or donator rank bonuses.
      • You can "stroke" Tormy, which will cause him to animate and create a flame around him.
  • Equippable flowers:
    • Players now have a rare chance to obtain equippable flowers (untradable) each time they participate in a Flower Poker match. The drop rates are intentionally low to preserve their prestige:
      • 1 / 20,000: Common flowers (Red, blue, yellow, purple, orange)
      • 1 / 30,000: Mixed flowers
      • 1 / 40,000: Assorted flowers
      • 1 / 60,000: Black flowers
      • 1 / 100,000: White flowers
    • Each player has 5 chances in total per Flower poker match to roll (reducing 1 / 20k to 1 / 4k per match, or 1 / 2k if you consider both players’ chances). They can also be obtained via planting flowers normally outside of FP (similar to Trollweiss flowers, which are 1 / 15,777 chance — but that item cannot be obtained from FP). Good luck planting!
  • Nightmare Changes:
    • Visual Changes:
      • These visual changes apply to both the Nightmare and Phosani’s nightmare.
        • The nightmare’s healthbar will now be blue/black instead of the standard green/red.
        • When attacking Phosani’s nightmare, it would previously show a mostly depleted healthbar overhead.
          • This healthbar will now start full at the beginning of each phase, so it is visually accurate.
        • The Cyan hitmarkers have been updated to the cyan shield hitmarker.
          • This can also show a slightly different hitmarker for max hits.
        • The Disease hitmarkers on the totems have been updated to the yellow arrow hitmarker.
          • This can also show a slightly different hitmarker for max hits.
        • The damage that the nightmare takes from the totems will now be visually higher/more accurate to the hitpoints the nightmare has.
    • Phosani’s Nightmare Mechanical Changes:
      • Phosani’s Nightmare now has 1 less phase.
        • The first phase of the fight is essentially skipped, so players will start in phase 2 and only have 4 phases of the fight.
      • To compensate for this kill speed increase, the Phosani’s nightmare speed combat achievements must now be completed 1 minute and 30 seconds faster.
  • Nex Changes:
    • Nex will always perform at least two more melee attacks whenever she uses one, on all phases. This only happens if the player she's attempting to attack is within melee distance.
    • Damaging blood reavers summoned by Nex will heal the attacker for 75% of the damage done.
  • NPC changes:
  • Tombs of Amascut Changes:
    • Apmeken:
      • Protect from Melee now blocks all of Ba-ba’s damage, unless prayer effectiveness is reduced by an invocation.
      • If the jungle japes invocation is active, baboons are now guaranteed to spawn a banana peel.
        • This was previously a 50/50 chance.
      • Players will now always max when using ranged against baboon shamans and cursed baboons.
        • The baboon shaman now has 40 hitpoints, and the cursed baboon now has 20 hitpoints to compensate.
      • The Apmeken baboon room now has 8 waves rather than 10, with some of the spawns being adjusted.
    • Het:
      • Protection prayers now mitigate more damage from Akkha’s basic attacks.
      • Akkha will now only protect against the attack style it is currently using.
      • Fewer white orbs will now spawn in the final phase of the fight with Akkha.
      • The het seal in the challenge room will now have less hitpoints.
    • Scabaras:
      • Kephri's mud knockback attack will now only send a diagonal wall on the 4 corners.
        • Previously this would be diagonal on 12 of the perimeter tiles.
      • Soldier scarabs have had their magic defence reduced from 10 to -15.
    • Crondis:
      • The palm in the puzzle room will now require 200 units of water for the first player, and 125 extra units for each extra player.
        • This is down from 200 units of water per player.
    • Miscellaneous:
      • Tile markers now work in Tombs of Amascut on mobile.
        • The issue where they were inaccurately marking tiles in certain rooms has also been fixed.
      • Players can now use any item on the deposit pot, rather than just food and potions.
      • Fixed a bug where players were getting points for damage on the Warden's core in phase 2 of the Tombs of Amascut warden room.
      • Bosses now have a cap on how much their defence levels can be drained.
        • Previously, players could drain the boss defence levels to 0 in only a few hits.
          • These bosses now have caps, for example, Ba-ba can only have 20 defence levels drained, so players can reduce it from 80->60.
          • Maximum Defence reductions:
            • Ba-ba: -20 levels
            • Zebak: -20 levels
            • Kephri: -20 levels
            • Akkha: -10 levels
            • Obelisk: -40 levels
            • Wardens: -60 levels
  • Yama Contracts:
    • Players can now sign a pact with Yama if they have one of the 11 contracts.
      • Each of these contracts will make the fight harder, with the promise of a guaranteed (or highly increased chance) loot.
      • These contracts will also make the fight with Yama far more difficult than normal.
      • To sign a pact, use the contract on Yama before the fight has begun.
        • All non-standard contracts will be returned upon successful completion of the fight.
          • The others will be consumed permanently.
    • Players can read the contracts to see how the fight will change for each contract.
    • Non-standard contracts:
      • Purifying Sigil Contracts:
        • All of these contracts are solo-only, and provide no rolls on the standard loot table.
          • Upon completion, players will be given a purifying sigil component, and the contract will be returned.
        • Contract of Bloodied Blows:
          • Reward: 1x Purifying Sigil (middle)
        • Contract of Divine Severance:
          • Reward: 1x Purifying Sigil (right)
        • Contract of Forfeit Breath:
          • Reward: 1x Purifying Sigil (top)
        • Contract of Glyphic Attenuation:
          • Reward: 1x Purifying Sigil (bottom)
        • Contract of Sensory Clouding:
          • Reward: 1x Purifying Sigil (left)
        • Players can combine all the purifying sigil components top create the Purifying Sigil:
          • This can be used on pieces of oathplate armour to create the Radiant oathplate armour, a prestige cosmetic variant.
          • The sigil is not consumed when used on a piece of armour, so players will only need to obtain the sigil once.
      • Contract of Familiar Acquisition:
        • This can be done in a duo, or solo.
        • Provides standard loot, as well as increasing the pet rate by 25x to 1/82.
          • This special rate is not affected by any boosters, ranks, or server boosts.
        • The contract is returned upon a successful kill.
    • Standard Contracts:
      • These contracts are all 1-time uses.
      • Contract of Worm Acquisition:
        • Can be done duo or solo.
        • Upon successful completion, the contract provider will obtain 250x diabolical worms.
        • All player present will get a loot roll, but will only receive the item if it was unique.
          • Unique items include Oathplate pieces, dossiers, forgotten lockboxes, oathplate shards, the Yama pet, and the Soulflame horn.
      • Contract of Harmony Acquisition:
        • Must be completed solo.
        • Upon successful completion, the contract provider will obtain a soulflame horn.
      • Contract of Oathplate Acquisition:
        • Must be completed solo.
        • Upon successful completion, the contract provider will obtain a piece of oathplate armour.
          • Players will be able to select the piece of Oathplate armour they wish to receive before starting the fight.
      • Contract of Catalyst Acquisition:
        • Can be done duo or solo.
        • Upon successful completion, the contract provider will obtain 2000x Aether catalyst.
        • All player present will get a loot roll, but will only receive the item if it was unique.
      • Contract of Shard Acquisition:
        • Can be done duo or solo.
        • Upon successful completion, the contract provider will obtain 45x Oathplate shards.
        • All player present will get a loot roll, but will only receive the item if it was unique.
  • Yama Combat Achievements:
    • 11 new combat achievements have been added to Yama, ranging from Elite to Grandmaster.
  • Deposit Box Changes:
    • The deposit box interface is now more comprehensive. 
    • Players can now lock inventory slots from the deposit box interface.
    • Players can now unequip or directly deposit equipment from the deposit box interface.
  • Bounty Hunter Teleport Changes:
    • Previously, the bounty hunter teleport would aim to put pkers 9-14 tiles away from their target, as a balancing mechanic to give players a chance to escape.
      • This would lead to pkers sometimes getting a message indicating there was no safe location to teleport to in some cases when their targets were in areas that could not accommodate a player appearing 9-14 tiles away from think (the top floor of the rogues’ castle, for example).
        • The teleport will now bring pkers closer to their targets if they are in close quarters areas like this, but only after initially trying to put them 9-14 tiles away, as it previously did.
          • Most functionality for this spell will remain the same, but pkers should now get fewer instances of not being able to teleport to their targets, and in some cases when unavoidable, will be teleported closer to their targets.
  • Abyssal Sire Changes:
    • Abyssal Sire now does half as much chip damage from its Melee attacks when players are praying correctly.
    • Abyssal Sire’s tentacles can no longer be damage by multi-spells/attacks.
    • Abyssal Sire’s animations for being stunned/awakened are now much smoother.
      • The issue where only some would visually be stunned has also been fixed.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Drop rate searcher will now show rates in a clearer format:
      • Old: 1/2419
      • New: 1 / 2,419
    • Myopia will now reduce the halberd attack distance in the Colosseum.
    • Rune pouches can now be purchased from the slayer reward exchange for 750 slayer points.
    • Players can now prepare for up to 4 kills of Duke Sucellus at once.
      • Players will be informed they cannot collect anymore of a specific supply if it exceeds the amount needed to create 8 arder-musca potions with.
        • Eternal donators are still able to prepare for any number of kills at a time.
    • The demonbane spells now use 3/5/7 fire runes to cast rather than 4/8/12.
    • The puzzle solver overlay on Mobile now uses dots instead of arrows.
    • Thralls will now last 100% longer as a reward from the Master combat achievements rather than the Grandmaster combat achievements.
    • Players can now complete the "Finding the weak spot" corporeal beast combat achievement with a dragon halberd special attack.
    • More npc types (kalphite, leafy, rat) will show up in the monster examine interface.
    • Players can now attack dawn, aviansies, and kree'arra with halberds. 
    • The Tonalztics of Ralos now have an attack range of 6/8 (rapid/long range) rather than 5/7.
    • Key master teleport will now drop in batches of 7 rather than 3.
    • The granite ring now has 12 range defence rather than 8.
    • The imbued granite ring now has 24 range defence rather than 16.
    • Blue moon will now spawn fewer tornados.
    • Deathly rangers/mage's have had their range/magic levels reduced from 210 to 175.
      • This should lead to lower damage taken from them in the Chambers of Xeric.
    • Players can now store ancient ceremonial robes in their POH Magic Wardrobe.
    • The Alora plugin UI sync setting will now properly synchronize with the device refresh rate.
      • Previously it was not re-drawing the UI enough, leading to some slightly laggier UI elements.
    • Tweaked how dps is calculated using the ::maxhit plugin.
    • Clicking the compass to look-north will no longer change the pitch of the camera.
      • This will now only rotate the camera to the north, keeping everything else the same.
    • Players with level 98 Herblore can now combine crushed superior dragon bones with an extended antifire (4) to create an extended super antifire (4).
    • The newer cyan shield hitsplat will now be shown at Tempoross.
    • The newer cyan shield hitsplat will now be shown when attacking Verzik Vitur in the first phase.
    • The game now checks if a player is standing on a yama Glyph after their movement has been processed for that tick.
    • The Thrall summoning message is now pink.
    • The Mark of Darkness message is now purple.
    • Clicking on the "Confirm" button will now close the price/quantity inputs on the trading post interface.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Players can now trade in noted ancient medallions/effigies/relics to the emblem trader.
    • Superior slayer encounters are no longer aggressive.
    • Thralls now have a minimum hit of 1 rather than 0.
    • The saturated heart will boosted magic level will no longer begin to drain after entering a raid.
    • Fixed a bug with the daily tasks interface progress bar not showing if the player completed more than the task requirement.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not use the castle wars grapple shortcut due to so-called “leagues restrictions".
    • Fixed a bug where sometimes hatched spiders would not path to the player when fighting Araxxor.
    • Players will now have their runes refunded if the Bounty hunter teleport fails.
    • NPC's will now be removed from a player's damage map when another player attacks them in PvP for the first time.
      • This will make it so that if an npc dealt more damage to the player before another player attacks and kills them, the new player should still get kill credit, assuming they did more damage to the player than the npc after the first attack.
    • Fixed a bug where Araxxor would use a ranged attack for it's next hit if the player moved back 1 tile after being within melee range.
    • Players will no longer be able to activate a glyph they already have protection for at yama.
    • Fixed a bug with the rainbow skin color not working properly.
    • Players will no longer be teleported back into the Yama fight if they died during the judge phase transition.
    • Players will now get points for attacking the phase 2 wardens that have not been knocked down yet.
    • Fixed a bug where eating pizza would disqualify players from the No toppings, no drinks yama combat achievement
    • Fixed a bug where female model jaws were sometimes invisible.
    • Royal titans loot will now be tracked by the loot tracker.
    • Fixed a bug where sol heredit's melee combo attack was using the incorrect animation in the earlier phases.
    • Fixed a bug where the key master clue scroll step would sometimes not work.
    • The necklace of faith can now be triggered by self-inflicted damage.
    • Fixed a bug where the serpentine helm was applying double venom on targets.
    • Players can now leave the raid after dying to Zebak.
    • Fixed an issue with some 2010 mode animations skilling actions not playing the correct sounds.
    • Fixed a bug with the seers village log balance shortcut not working correctly.
    • Yama will no longer try to follow players while they are exiled from the arena.
    • Fixed a bug where Wyrms had 100% accuracy.
    • Fixed a bug where Yama would sometimes not change targets when a player died/left the fight.
    • Sol Heredit will now wait an extra 2 ticks before attacking after a phase change.
    • Fixed a bug where the master scroll book would cause issues with unlocked zooming.
    • Fixed a bug where logging into a different account would sometimes show green dots when players weren’t added as friends on that account.
    • Fixed a bug where extended map loading would cause Alora’s HD to crash.
    • Fixed a bug where logging out would crash the client if the player was using Alora’s HD.
    • Fixed a bug where clicks sometimes wouldn’t register on Alora’s HD.

What a great update, thank you! Can we expect to see any of the changes osrs made or is making to the toa loot changes coming to alora anytime soon?

Can't wait to stroke it. Disappointed in the defense reduction change in ToA. It's already a long and boring grind to begin with. It was just made easier on OSRS whereas it was just made harder on here. Seemed like an unwanted and unnecessary change. Great work with everything else, however.

First of all thank you for all of the bug fixes. I don't expect it but I hope we get 1 month this year dedicated as bug fix only month. Eg: group chat owner settings surviving a relog / slayer monster task blocking working across all masters / seeing if mobile devices can run even less hot, etc.

First, "Can't wait to stroke it" is an odd reply. 

Second, Perhaps the meta will be to bring in an Accursed Sceptre as a defence lowering spec weapon into TOA, as the melee variants would be unnecessary now. 

As the apologist POV, I see why this update was made for the Baba room since we were mainly blowpiping it to death (l0l), but I don't have anything to say about the other rooms.  We frankly already hit a lot of 0's on Kephri with the Keris Partisans even after the specs. At least we have an excuse to not go within melee range of Zebak now, lmao   :lol:

Thanks for the update, hopefully we can see fixes for contracts & regular yama soon.

Bit painful that it will just oneshot you in Contract of glyphic attenuation, can't oneshot flares at 1hp in Contract of bloodied blows
