Boss Hunt Event (All Weekend) - Players will hunt to obtain "Prince Black Dragon" (King Black Dragon) for a reward of 250M GP. This event will be available once the Weekend Bonuses are enabled. This event will run for 72 hours. Players are required to provide a screenshot with the current server time and the current date in the chat box to win. If you receive the pet, send a private message with the proof. (One Winner)

Skilling Hunt (All Weekend) - Players will hunt to obtain the "Herbiboar" (Fossil Island) for a reward of 150M GP. This event will be available once the Weekend Bonuses are enabled. This event will run for 72 hours. Players are required to provide a screenshot with the current server time and the current date in the chat box to win. If you receive the Herbi, send a private message with the proof. (One Winner)

 

 

 

Events on Friday will begin at 6:30 PM server time (UTC).

 

Bonus Experience - All players will receive 1.5x bonus experience.
(This stacks with the Well of Goodwill, Vote Book XP, Skill of the Day, etc.)
 

 

Skilling Event - Players will race to see who can obtain a specified skilling pet first. The first player to do so will receive a 75M reward.

 

 

PvM Hunts - Players will race to see who can receive a particular drop from a specified boss or NPC. The first player to do so will receive a 75M reward.

 

 

Cox & TOA Bonus - CoX & TOA loot bonus will be set to 1.2x. If necessary, this may be lowered to 1.15x.

 

Events on Saturday will begin at 6:30 PM server time (UTC).

 

Bonus Experience - All players will receive 1.5x bonus experience.

Doom & Nex Bonus - Doom & Nex loot bonus will be set to 1.2x. If necessary, this may be lowered to 1.15x.

Welfare Dharok 1v1 Tournament - Players will compete in a 1v1 Dharok Tournament at ;;1v1 . Prizes will be awarded for those who manage to place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the tournament. An information and registration thread will be posted in the events section of the forums prior to the start of the event. You must be registered to participate.

Now 95, Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, 60 years after taking a controlling share in the company.

But during his long tenure Buffett has had plenty of sensible things to say about how to invest well and live a good life through the work you choose and the way you treat people.

Here’s just a sampling:

Don’t lose money
“The first rule in investment is don’t lose. And the second rule in investment is don’t forget the first rule.”


Buffett is best known as a value investor – someone who buys companies he believes are undervalued. “If you buy things for far below what they’re worth and you buy a group of them, you basically don’t lose money,” he explained on Adam Smith’s Money World.


But Buffett’s advice also speaks to the need to diversify risk.

“It’s the foundation of how I manage client money,” said certified financial planner and CPA Brian Kearns. “Investing is about growth, but it is also about capital preservation. … Find reasonably priced investments … but don’t risk too much of your net worth on one idea.”

It also means investing across asset classes. “They all have different risk profiles and, when combined, allow you to hold investments for the long term because you will experience less volatility,” Kearns said.
