Hello Everyone!    

 

We are excited to announce that we are planning a new temporary game mode for all of you, but first we want your input. We would love to hear what kind of event you are most interested in.

 

Do you want to show everyone how efficient you are at gathering gear, food, and supplies, and then prove your PvP skills?

 

Or do you want to show everyone how efficient you are when it comes to pure experience gains?

 

The choice is yours.

 

Deadman Mode

This is a survival and skill focused event. Everyone starts on a fresh Ironman account from scratch. You will have seven days to build your account, plan your progression, and prepare for one goal only: winning the final tournament.

Once the preparation phase ends, all participants will be placed into a randomized bracket style PvP tournament to determine who truly earns the title.

Keep in mind. You cannot go around and random kill players outside the Bracket/Outside wilderness. 

 

King of the Skill

The objective is simple. Gain as much total experience as possible within a fixed amount of play time. You will have 24 hours of total play time to gain as much experience as you can. The event itself will run for one week.

You are free to restart your run or create a new account if you discover a more efficient route or strategy along the way. You will be playing on the Ironman Game mode.

I remember playing the first two dmm's so im definately going with dmm but I think there should be pvp on everywhere (minus safezones ofc) during the prep phase to spice it up a bit and make it feel risky rather then braindead just go gather gear for the final tourney

@Satan Smash I wish I could do it that way. Maybe in the future we could implement something similar to what we had in Leagues, where players participating in the league were invisible and non attackable to regular players.

I enjoyed leagues but these particular events dont interest me personally. Im not into pking at all and skilling is just for necessity for me. Looking forward to the next leagues or even a leagues mode (different name) with similar perks. game mode should be specifically aimed at learning bosses/content you normally couldnt do. (leagues got me into solo raiding on main acc for instance)

Slight preference for DMM.

Both sound great, honestly, even though I would fail horribly at either.

Skilling sounds fun since I’m no PVPer, but support to both ideas. Thanks dev team for keeping new content priority for everyone.

Both sound great, all temp gamemodes turn out to be a blast one way or another. Only issue with the dmm one is if we dont have pvp enabled everywhere outside safezones, thats kinda the whole purpose of dmm is that risk=reward playstyle to get better gear, etc for your finale while risking it all to do so. without the risk it kind of just becomes a rng fest on who can get the best drops in the time allotted for the finale, and high chance that person just runs everyone in the bracket.

of course, it only makes sense. But maybe if there isn't a way for a separate world or something along the lines of the leagues ghost system for regular players maybe just do any other ideas for now ! 

 

Curious though, will the kots event be played like leagues where there is no teleport wizard, starting location is different, etc ? And what would you plan the xp/drop rates to be set at?

Not being able to PK because of my ping (and I'm a shitter) I would personally go with the KOTS, but have voted for DMM as I think this would be more fun for the server overall.

My vote goes for dmm 100% since it sounds more fun. We could use more pvp related events (aside just the occasional tournament ones which to be fair, a lot of them is just 'boxing and rng'

 

I am curious to see how exactly dmm would work but if i were to guess, I'm gonna say with high confidence H will win cause of hax mode or a clan like afm is going to win it cause of quick gear progression and holding down important areas. CALLING IT NOW

 

That or bronzeman mode I'll be happy with that game mode as well
